I have had back pain for over 3 years. Seen different doctors, chiropractors multiple imaging and x- rays done with little to no relief. Yesterday my head felt swollen, my neck, throat, and chest were tight, and my whole body felt sore, heavy, and tired. Dr. Long needled me up, followed by bodywork healing by Guang. 13 YEAR INSOMNIAC CURED!  This center gave me my life back!  Where do I start? This center is heaven sent. I came here after coming out of a health crisis that stemmed from taking sleeping pills prescribed by medical doctors for insomnia. I took the pills asa  last resort after struggling with insomnia for about 10 or 11 years. The last two years of my 13-year battle I was put on prescription medication ambien. The doctors never educated me on the medication. I was only supposed to be on it no more than a few weeks, but they kept me on it for 2 years and it damaged my muscular skeletal system and caused a myriad of other debilitating health issues to the point I was nearly immobile and had to just sit and look out of the window for months. The quality of my life was greatly diminished to just sitting and staring out of the window for sometimes 6 and 7 hours a day.  I could barely even turn my head from side to side. I lost most of the function of my hands, and it hurt to sit and lay down so I had to stand until my knees buckled. After much prayer, God revealed to me that the pills were making me sick and I stopped them cold turkey.   I was being poisoned because my doctors were extremely negligent kept me on the medicine over 2 years past the time I should have been on it. Hindsight is 20/20! Now I really had an insomnia problem!  I stayed before, AFTER MUCH PRAYER, I ended up at Aupuncture Healing Center. I saw Dr long and he is the best doctor ever! He is so gentle, kind, FUNNY, and he LISTENS. He's so patient and has a very beautiful, warm and inviting soul. His son Guang works along with his father, and he has been so patient with me. You can call him and ask him any question you want, and they always call you back and answer all of your questions. They have an awesome staff  and are very organized. Everyone is just so NICE .  They make sure that you are comfortable during your treatment... they even have heat lamps, so you can stay warm during treatments. Unlike Western medicine, they will get to the root cause of your illness, and if you do your part, THE GOAL IS TO BE CURED, not medicated! You can be healed!  You are given herbs FROM MOTHER EARTH, and not synthetic drugs that harm your body. This is the way that we were designed to heal. Now that I am healed, I made up a  "I've been getting sleep dance" .. I went in there and did the dance for them and Dr Long started to dance with me! Who does that!? I come here with my friend who has back pain. This acupuncture healing center is really amazing. It's clean, nice and comfortable. The herbal aroma smells soothing and relaxing. The service is great. Huge change at the acupuncture healing center. Dr. Gary is gone, and it's a huge loss. He was pretty much what you'd hope for in a TCM practitioner - very intuitive, highly advanced needling techniques, and an incredibly effective and sophisticated herbal administrator, using classic herbs and formulas, not one-size-fits-all pill formulations that while somewhat effective, are absolutely unremarkable and leave a great deal to be desired. So aside from the fact that I left last time with a needle still in my face above the orbit of my eye and pointing toward the socket, and huge blood stain across my face (when the person at the kiosk looked at me in horror as I was paying, I kind of guessed something might not be right, but she let me pay and leave anyway) the nature of the practice has moved from comprehensive Chinese medicine therapy to generic needling only. You basically have to shake the doctor down to get some herbs because he's a really kind of disorganized guy, albeit a super friendly and pleasant one, there is a massive disconnect at this place that there wasn't when I first started coming. Honestly, I could tell that they were struggling to regain coherence within the practice following Dr. Gary's departure, so I had some compassion and figured I'll keep giving them a chance, but time after time, they kept forgetting to treat certain concerns, and I had to remind them, and it became abundantly clear that they are not taking a comprehensive and holistic wellness management approach that is what makes any TCM treatment aside from acute injury pain abatement truly effective. You can needle someone's liver channel all you want let's say, but without a more intuitive diagnosis, not just a western-style surface symptom suppression, and a more holistic treatment that includes herbal regimens, you are simply not going to be treated very effectively. The doctor I think may have difficulty or perhaps it's impatience I really can't honestly discern which, in reading the historical patient data, because he'll read the first line and be like "oh ok we're treating you for X, right?" And you're left thinking to yourself, um yes and also the other half a dozen things below that symptom that we go over constantly and that are in your notes". Fortunately for me, I know the channels and I'm able to actually be like, "oh hey would you mind treating the lung and spleen like we've discussed?" And he'll be like "oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, right" and so on. I wish them all the best in their transition, but I will not return due to their move to much less sophisticated and less effective medicinal techniques, and their very, very disorganized manner that is quite concerning from not just a medical standpoint, but also just general customer service best practice one. I'm hopeful things will improve in time, but sadly, I can't check my eye for needles and leave feeling like there was little care exercised every time. I was given the option of going to an acupuncturist by the VA to help relieve pain that I have had for several years. The reason for this is two-fold: first and foremost I did not want to continue to use pain medication, which at best only gave temporary relief, and second had been through various methods to relieve the pain such as, physical therapy, surgical procedure to deaden the nerves. These were somewhat helpful but none allowed me the ability to do things without constant pain. Enter the Accupuncture Healing Center. I have thus far gone to approximately seven sessions and must say that I just finished playing a round of golf almost pain free today. This is amazing, since I have not been able to play for 3 yrs due to the constant pain in my lower back. Hello I suffer from severe nerve damage and a shunt on tye brain from a bad car accident I had 4 yrs ago. Been to numerous doctors with no results and ended up in a very bad way. Dr. Long, Porsha and the rest of the team have been nothing short of a miracle for me. I came across this gem 2+ years ago when I started my Nursing career and suffered from excruciating back/neck pain. Conventional Physicians offered me NSAIDs which did not touch the pain. I won't lie this place at the beginning was nice. The receptionist was nice, however we waited two hours for a consultation. My friend took to long filling out the form and more people came in. Unfortunately I wouldn't call it much of a consult. She talked to my friend for maybe five minutes, took her pulse and then decided she needed acupuncture. No where did she say that the acupuncture wasn't part of the consultation. Then when she told us that it was $90 total for maybe 20 mins acupuncture and maybe 10 minutes of her time. She never asked if she wanted acupuncture or that it would be more and we were specific when we asked for just a consult. The receptionist even knew that we were just doing a consult. Also when the doctor went out to speak to the receptionist, I know it's a small place but we heard everything you said and you were quite rude so you shouldn't have been surprised when I was rude back to you. Only upside is that the doctor did not make her pay for it. They should be more specific on what you are paying for if you are accepting it and that it is not apart of what she asked for. First experience here! Came in for acupuncture. The beginning of sessions went well. Dr. Su seemed friendly,listened, and took his time. Acupuncture was easy. I felt nothing going in or coming out & the light electric pulses were great. Then this part was finished and things started to become a little uncomfortable. I hear doctor Su going between patients and discussing there issues. He comes back in room with another person. No introduction, no information given to me what was happening. They discussed his instructions in their language and then they both leave room. Second person returns some time after no introduction just starts adding towels and moving my clothes around. During this massage he speaks to another employee through open door and also talks on phone. Privacy is not a big deal to them here. I found it very uncomfortable and don't know if I will return here again. I never seen Dr. Su after finishing and was directed to next store for herb treatment.
