Other than leaving my job, I have to seek outside care/assistance in mitigating my pain. I've visited many different chiropractors in the last 25 years (been going since I was about 12 years old). I've been fortunate to have always found chiropractors that are well educated and know how to treat patients. I believe Dr Menner and Dr Allen run the best office I have ever been to for treatment. 1) They are on-time. Unfortunately, many chiropractors are consistently running late. I appreciate that most run on very slim staffs, often are the only doctor in the office, and want to offer proper care to their patients (ie not rushing), but this often means long waits in the waiting room. I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be seen. Generally, by the time I finish signing in and just sit down someone is ready to see me. When they bringing you into the treatment room, there is no additional waiting. They start working on you immediately. After the initial massage therapy (more on that later), you may have a few minutes of relaxing on the table, but generally the Dr comes in within a few minutes. Personally, I enjoy the extra few minutes to do some deep breathing and relaxing. 2) As mentioned above, ever visit you have the option of about 30 minutes of initial massage therapy. They will work on whatever areas will be treated. This helps ensure that your soft tissue is treated along with your bones. They are NOT just a "snap, crackle, and pop" type of office. The total treatment does take 45-60 minutes, but if you are rushed you can elect to just be adjusted. 3) The staff is extremely kind and they all seem to really enjoy their work and the work environment. 4) If you ask, they work with you to understand your insurance coverage and your out of pocket costs. 5) The visit is fully eligible for coverage by my insurance (obviously this varies according to your own insurance).

He told me the reflexologist told him that she knew he didn't eat vegetables. I was impressed--he's a meat and potatoes guy all the way. But I was floored to learn said reflexologist told his sister she was pregnant--before his sister even knew she was pregnant. So, naturally, I said--sign me up! It's not cheap. My husband got me a gift certificate. Upon entry they give you a survey of seemingly inane questions (ie. favorite color, favorite animal). The friendly reflexologist rubbed my feet...and told me my body was screaming out for iodine. I was like..."Ok. Maybe that's why I crave seafood. Interesting." Fast-forward about 4 years. After years of suffering from fatigue I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism...and Hashimoto's disease (auto immune disease that attacks the thyroid). In July 2021, after seeing an orthopedic doctor and receiving a round of HA gel injections previously, my knee was in an abundance of pain. I could barely walk and it was affecting my ability to work, workout, drive and do normal activities with friends and family. At the advice of a friend, I called Active Care. I had never been to a Chiropractor before but was desperate for help. I was welcomed with friendly faces, a clean and open office, an insurance sheet that told me exactly how much I would owe for what and when, and Doctors with positive attitudes, outgoing personalities, and who truly want the best for you. Bone cracking good time!…read more Ok. I must admit, I was hesitant when I was told of the benefits of chiropractic work on my back pain. The idea in our society that we can feel better without any medication or pain killers seemed far fetched. I have dealt with back pain and severe chest pain for over a year and had gone to multiple doctors and been on a few different concoctions from the pharmacy with only brief relief, then it was back. It seemed hopeless. I came across Chirofit while enjoying the Long Grove Apple festival. They were giving free massages and after lots of walking, that sounded fantastic. They requested some info then started asking about aches and pains. When I let them know what was up, they offered me a risk free consultation, so I figured me what do I have to lose? When I showed up for the consultation, the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. I met with Dr. Morgan and we began to discuss my case. After a series of tests, we set up a game plan to correct some back problems. After just a few treatments consisting of adjustments and exercises, my back pain all but disappeared and my chest pains we're minimized. It feels great to be pain free. I saw Dr. Mitch today for the first time, he and the rest of the staff were friendly and professional. During check out, the clerk told me I owe $65 when I refused as I always pay $30 copay. Dr. Dave- the owner came out and was very belittling "I dont know if you met your deductible...i end up chasing people around for money." This was totally unnecessary- bad taste at first visit. Good PR would be- "don't worry about it- we'll see you next week and take care of it." So i called back from the parking lot and cancelled my next visit and massage- will not be going back. Yes, may people have left such positive reviews- perhaps the owner is overly confident and may likely struggle with serious sustainability issues in the future.. There are plenty of chiros around!!. Will never be back here and will share my experience with many healthcare providers in the area I am friends with.
