So what's this placed called ? I called my insurance and they said these people go under Dignity Health then I call in and they say, they go under Adolescent and Children's Orthopedic Surgery. I couldn't find a legit name for them here on Yelp but this address and phone number matched up exactly so here's my experience. The front desk guy was RUDE! With a know it all attitude right off the bat! I proceed to make my long story short and explain that my son needs to be seen and was referred by his pediatrician. I also explain that he was seen by another doctor but wanted to take him here for a "second opinion" sort of speak. The front desk guy immediately says they don't do second opinions that none of the doctors do as if he's getting paid to say that lol! As if the facility is his. Lol as if he's the one giving the second opinion. I thought that was comical. Anyway, he proceeds to put me on hold and then says sorry no you already received treatment with another doctor. I explain and say, "no my son has not received treatment with anyone he has had nothing but an x-ray. " Again he's short and says, none of the doctors here will do a second opinion. Maybe it's a blessing that my son wasn't scheduled here because I can't imagine dealing with that front desk. From what I'm reading here other reviews say the same. Probably dodged a major bullet and if the doctors are good but front staff is bad that sucks for the doctors. read more

Doctor Rozansky is great, on the other hand the office is so bad! The front desk lady is disrespectful and sarcastic, and seems to be pleased to make my life harder. They have cancelled my appointment a week before because I didn't update my insurance. I told them to give me a day to update my referral and they refused. I offered to pay for the visit and still refused. I got the referral the day after and office is closed... this is delaying my daughters medical care and it's so upsetting. 6 months ago I requested q document to be filled by the doctor in order to get her help at school. They made me bring the physical copy to the office because they "don't use e mail communications" then had me sit there for an hour to tell me they wouldn't have it ready on time that day. Proceed to charge me and then sent the document filled VIA E MAIL!!!!! I missed the chance to deliver it on time because of their delay and got charged on top. The doctors there are very nice. However the staff is not. Today I had to cancel my appointment due to being positive with Covid. When I called in Greg answered the phone and was very argumentative and aggressive over the phone. Had no empathy for the situation all he cared about is if I left a message. He proceeded to keep me on hold "to check the voicemail" even though I had told him I had not left one. I am running a high fever so after being on hold over 5 minutes I called back to let him know I will reschedule once we feel better. He refused to let me talk and kept me on hold once again. I hung up and he called back so I asked to speak to the office manager Karen who has previously also has been rude to me in person. I let her know I wanted to complain about Greg and once she didn't show interest I asked for an email so I can put my complaint in black and white. She did not want to provide it until I told her I can also put it on yelp if she'd like. I will wait for next appointment to speak with the doctor directly. read more

My sons arm was so badly broken. She fixed it and it was like a miracle, he went from being in extreme pain, to not being in any pain. He didn't even take Advil after the surgery. She will always be an Angel in our lives. She is truly great at what she does. And very caring and kind. I cannot speak more highly of this practice. I have 4 kids and they've all been seen here by either Dr Rozansky or any of the other wonderful doctors in this practice. Today my youngest had an appointment and we missed it due to an emergency. The staff was soooo helpful and the manager helped me get her seen, despite the holiday and being short staffed. It was especially important as we are traveling and she would have had to be at the beach with a cast. I am sooo thankful and really appreciate how much they did to help. I came across this office through Google search. If I could give 0 stars, I would! Read the reviews and decide to give this office a chance and ignor the past bad reviews. Wow, I couldn't get as far as to verify my insurance. This office is so lazy! Was told by biller that he couldn't call my insurance to verify coverage and that I'd hasn't to pay out of pocket. I've worked in pharmacy for over 20 years. Made different appointments to see different doctors for myself, my husband and 3 kids. For him to say he can't check eligibility, that just shows how lazy they are! There are sooooo many orthopedics/doctors out there. I guess they are too lazy to do work because they don't want new clients or to make money. This place is a joke. After he said that, I just hung up on him. Glad I didn't waste my time much further. We had surgery! And another stellar experience with Dr Rozansky. She put all our fears at ease! She even casted our daughters teddy bear ;) highly recommend. When your child has an injury you only want the best! Dr. Alison Rozansky was phenomenal during our consultation. Hearing surgery is necessary in our daughters injury case was immediately put at ease because we are all confident she is in the care of a compassionate skilled surgeon. When we arrived at 10:45 for our 11 am appointment I was sure we would be waiting a long time. Front desk check in was smooth and pleasant. By 11:15 we had all ready seen the medical assistant had the splint put on at urgent care removed and X-Rays done! Dr. Rozansky took her time explaining our daughters injuries and treatment plan. She didn't sugar coat anything but also explained it in ways that did not petrify a 12 year old. I've read reviews about parking costing so much it's only 0.95 every 20 minutes. Dr. Rozansky is quite possibly the funniest and most impressionable doctors I've ever encountered. We first met in the ER of Northridge Medical Hospital, and even at that point she was able to both impress me with her professionalism and address all of my concerns; as well as humor and ability to diffuse a stressful situation. Her bedside manner is everything I could hope for in a medical professional. My son had some pretty serious injuries which required multiple casts, so we were (unfortunately) frequent visitors of her office. The waiting room includes some vintage arcade games, which are working (most of the time) and FREE. The technicians in the office are extremely nice, explaining what they're about to do and allowing kids to feel completely comfortable before they start the saw. Dr. Rozansky really understands children and explains to them what she is seeing from the X-rays and examination. She asks both children and parents if they have any questions and she provides answers easy to comprehend without any hint of condescension or impatience. I really felt like my son was being treated by the best doctor available. We're definitely not hoping to become patients again, however we loved our experience with Dr. Rozansky. read more

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for my daughter to be called in (been 40 min now and counting) so why not write a review while I wait. What better way to pass the time, right? Had a very unpleasant experience with the front office staff today and I honestly can't wait for my daughter to be done with her treatment so that I never have to come back here again. The heavyset bald white guy that works in front office and the office manager are rude as can be. The girl in the front who checks people in isn't so great either. The guy in particular is a condescending prick and the girl has no people skills. Smh. What a shame because we really love Dr. Rozansky, she's great. The girl that checks people out is sweet as can be though, honestly this trio could learn a thing or two from her. I would not recommend coming here for this reason. I don't like to be treated rudely. I'll find someplace else to go to where the staff treats patients with kindness & respect and smiles once in awhile. Everyone here looks miserable. Dr. Rozansky is absolutely the best! I have two boys (both high-level baseball players) and I would never dream of taking them anywhere else for orthopedic care. Over the past 3 years, my older boy has broken a finger (baseball) and, most recently, a foot (basketball). Both times, Dr. Rozansky has done an AMAZING job! Every time I hear of a kid breaking a bone, I run over to the parents and whip out my "You have to take your child to see Dr. Rozansky... She is the best" speech. If I need a quick appointment they are almost always accommodating. The check in girl (forgot her name) was pleasant but busy (that's fine by me). The guy who has put both of my son's casts on is fantastic. I think his name is Cisco. Dr. Rozansky is perfect. She is warm, bright, articulate and has an AMAZING bedside manner... especially for kids. I don't know what to say to the others who have written poor reviews, but sometimes people want to be treated "special". If there's a wait... then wait! Yes, I've had to wait before. But my guess is that that's because others have shown up late to their appointments and pushed everyone else back. Can you imagine the negative Yelp reviews if Dr. Rozansky didn't take someone who showed up late.... it's really a no-win situation for them. All I know is this: I'd rather go to a doctor who cares, knows her stuff, loves what she does, has a great staff, and may be running a bit late because she has SO MANY PATIENTS, than go to a doctor who had an empty waiting room. My 9-year-old son broke the tibia and fibula in his right leg playing soccer. We were fortunate to be referred to Dr. Rozansky by my son's pediatrician. From our first interaction with her (a Saturday afternoon phone call from the er) to our last appointment with her today, she has been a calm, professional, compassionate practitioner. Her bedside manner is among the best I have ever been around and her clear communication of a diagnosis and future expectations to both parents and child were fantastic. It has been a rough 11 weeks for my son but the outstanding care provided by Dr. Rozansky has returned him to good health. We couldn't have had a better experience. My son broke his arm Last June and we have been seeing Dr. Rozansky since. He had to have 2 surgeries and multiple visits to her office. Dr. Rozansky is great! She is not only caring, patient but an awesome doctor. We cannot say ANYTHING bad about her or her staff. Her staff has been quick to respond and very attentive. Every time we called her assistant Sisco responded right away or called us back and helped us. I am not sure why people are complaining about them, we never had a bad experience. There was one time that we did have to wait about 30 minutes but, it was because she was out on an Emergency. Its to be understood since she is also a surgeon. She was great and her staff was awesome but I do hope we never have to go back. We DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone with kids that needs an Ortho surgeon! read more

We love Dr.Rozansky and would recommend her to everyone. This is a very busy office though, a much different environment from your typical pediatrician's office. People need to understand they can not control how many emergencies/broken bones will walk through their door. Which means a longer than usual wait time. We've always had a pleasant experience here. Dr. Rozansky is a very caring physician, she takes her time explaining the condition and treatment plan. Which makes the wait time WORTH IT. This review and thank you are long overdue. Our 1 year old broke her arm when she fell. Tarzana Hospital ER diagnosed the fracture after xrays put her in a soft splint and referred us to another pediatric ortho group. The doctor at that ortho group immediately told us that our 1 year old must have surgery and scheduled her for surgery at 7 am the next day. As a mother I refused to accept that doctor's treatment plan so I called Dr Rozansky's office. We were seen the very next morning and after a few more xrays Dr Rozansky reassured us that she would treat her with a cast - no surgery needed. I am so glad that I refused to go with the other doctor's surgery plan. After 4 weeks in a long arm cast our 1 year old's arm fracture has healed beautifully. We are forever grateful to Dr Rozansky and her amazing team for treating our 1 year old in such a professional yet kid friendly environment. Dr.Rozansky is an excellent doctor. I tore my ACL in October and she repaired it in surgery. I have felt no pain whatsoever and my knee is healing rapidly. I had to wait over an hour and a half to have my daughter be seen today by Dr. Rozansky. Another family in the waiting room was actually told that they double book in case someone cancels. So they are always behind! This is not a smart practice for a pediatric doctor!!!! The waiting room was full of impatient children and not enough seats. When we finally got in to see the doctor, she only spent about five minutes with us and told me that the wait is always like that. I have my doubts that the doctor even really took the time to diagnose my daughter correctly. I'm going back to my pediatrician to get a second opinion. Dr. Alison Rozansky got us in the same day we called to accommodate my 2 year olds broken arm. We had been to the ER the night before and they had told us that it was a clean break with no issues. But when we saw Dr. Rozansky she instantly noticed that my son's forearm bone was out of the socket and that was why he was in such awful pain. She popped it back in within 3 seconds, ran x rays, had us casted and out in an hour and a half (including wait time). The entire staff was kind and helpful and made the experience so much better. We saw Dr. Rozansky for my younger son's ankle pain over a year ago but when my older son broke both his arms back in March, we were very happy to be referred to her. Even with HMO insurance we were able to get a same day appointment. They did explain to me, in no uncertain terms, that the office was very busy and wait times could be long so we were fully prepared. Wait times were not as long as we expected but while waiting, the kids watched a movie or played video games in the waiting room, which took my son's mind off the pain he was in. In short, Dr. Rozansky is a really great doctor. Her bedside manner is friendly and she made jokes with the kids, putting them at ease. I would never wait as long to see a pediatrician but even with the long wait, Dr. Rozansky's office will have your child's x-rays, casts, and little hearts feeling better in no time. read more

Recently my teenage son broke his hand and I found Dr Rozansky through yelp.com. All the 5 star reviews are absolutely true. I was really nervous about this injury, it was my son's first. We were supposed to go on a very active vacation with the broken hand. Dr Rozansky is a very nice, professional and really warm person. She talked us through all available options and was following up with us before and after the trip to make sure my son is comfortable in his cast and his hand was healing properly. Office staff is also great and accommodating. Highly recommend! read more

My 14 year old son has seen Dr. Rozansky many times, and were it not for our last experience, I would be writing a positive review, even agreeing that she was worth the long wait that others have mentioned. But on our last visit, she saw something unusual on his X-ray (not related to why he was there), and sent him for an MRI. The radiologist was unclear with just the MRI and had him do a CTscan as well. They did not have a definitive diagnosis, but per the radiologist it was between two things, one of which was cancer. Dr. Rozansky was wonderful on the phone, but explicitly stated, "either way it has to come out," "it's too small to biopsy, they will just remove it surgically," "while there's still a possibility it's nothing, it's not likely." She even scheduled the appointment with the oncologist herself. We were grateful for her thoughtful and thorough response to the situation, and we trusted her belief in her radiologist. Needless to say, we were all very scared...And then we got to the oncologist and learned that the radiologist was wrong about everything, and that what Dr. Rozansky had told me to expect was entirely wrong. Per the oncologist, there was nothing of any significance wrong with him, there would not have been surgery without a biopsy, and the misread of the images was a huge "cover your ass" error. While I'm grateful that Dr. Rozansky made the referral, and did what she thought was right with the information she had, ultimately she was wrong...and a simple phone call to us to acknowledge that, to acknowledge the radiologist's mistake, to acknowledge my son's fear, would have been the ethical thing to do. In addition, two days after the visit to the oncologist, I left a voicemail for her assistant Cisco, on which I inquired about the pt referral (for the injury he went in for), and I expressed my frustration with the misdiagnosis, and asked that Dr. Rozansky call us back. A week went by and there was still no referral, and no call back. When I called again and did finally speak with Cisco, he denied receiving the voicemail, made excuses for the referral issue and in regards to "the scare" he condescendingly stated, "well, she got you to the right place." The irony is that they were all so wonderful when they believed something was potentially wrong with my son, but in their desire not to admit fault, they made a situation of simple human error --one that we were upset about but accepting of--feel much worse. A defensive and dismissive approach to mistakes, and no empathy for the patient's experience, is bad practice and bad business. It's a shame. read more

This is the third occasion I had to visit this office (I am a boymom). The first 2 were with Dr. Brookenthal who is Awesome! But this current time we have been seeing Dr. Rozansky and yeah she is also AWESOME!!! She's very sweet and caring and answers everything I need to know sometimes without me even asking her. The front desk ladies are super sweet and the X-ray and casting boys are great! My three year old son broke his Femur and an RN at his pediatricians office sent us to Henry Mayo Hospital. The Dr. there was SO rude! She told us they were going to have cut his leg open and put a metal rod in his leg. We were shocked! Henry Mayo Transfered us to Northridge hospital and the Pediatrician there told my husband and I that he would get us a nice orthopedic surgeon. He did!! We are SO thankful because he asked Dr. Rosansky do the surgery. We met Dr. Rosansky before surgery. This was our first time meeting her and she was very kind. She asked us what happened to our son and we told her and then explained to her what Henry Mayo had told us. She was very thorough and explained that he was to little to cut open for this particular problem and that the break was bad, but turned out not to be the break that Henry Mayo classified it as. She said she just needed to reset the leg! What a huge blessing!! Since our son was little he had to be put in a spica cast (body cast) and again she was very thorough and explained how we needed to take care of him. She came to the waiting room and spoke to us after setting the leg and again was very kind and thoughtful. We set up a follow up appointment with her staff and they were very friendly! When we showed up for our appointment at Dr. Rosanky's office the girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We did wait for an extended period of time, but in my opinion a good Dr. Is Worth Waiting For! At our consecutive appointments we usually got called back within 15 minutes of our arrival. Whenever I make an appointment with any doctor I make sure I do it on a day and time that I know I won't feel rushed and we always take plnenty of things to do. All of her staff was very kind! Dr. Rosansky did a great job taking care of and fixing our little guy. My son enjoyed his follow up appointments and told Dr. Rosansky that he loves her very much. We all love her! We just went to our last follow up appointment today and it was bittersweet because although we are very very thankful our son is healed we will greatly miss seeing Dr. Rosansky and her staff! Hopefully we won't have any more broken bones in our household but we may have to drop by from time to time to say hello to everyone in the office and give Dr. Rosansky a big hug! My 5 year old son had to be carried into her office because he was in severe abdominal and back pain that he could NOT walk. She took x-rays, read them and said and I quote, " this was a million dollar mock-up for POOP!" She sent us on our way and told us to give him an enema. We took him to a GI doctor the next morning to see if my son crawling on his hand and feet from severe pain was really just from poop. I knew she looked young and inexperienced, but I never thought she would be so incompetent. The GI doctor, Dr. Bajar, saved his life. He spoke to Dr. Rozansky and she was ADAMANT it was not a bone issue, as she is the bone specialist. Thankfully, he knew there was something really wrong when he saw him barely able to walk, and ruled OUT constipation, as that is HIS speciality. He admitted us to the hospital for an MRI, and the next morning we found out he had 4 broken bones in his back that was causing all that PAIN! She was unprofessional and incompetent in misdiagnosing my son. What is worse, she could've prevented more fractures if she had put through the MRI as I had asked her to do that day, instead of arrogantly assuming it's just poop. My God, you are an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in bones. It turns out he has LEUKEMIA, that made his bones so brittle. He was in a back brace for almost two months until his vertebraes healed and he was able to walk again. My son continues his battle with leukemia 1.5 years with 2 more years of chemotherapy to go. He has a good prognosis. We have a team of amazing doctors, and an incredible support system. I don't her to misdiagnose another family, and to empower parents to not accept the word of a 'specialist,' if you feel it's not correct. After she found out he had 4 broken bones in his spine, and she misdiagnosed him she was dismissive about the entire situation when speaking to our pediatrician (who referred us). The other orthopedic surgeon in her office was who we were suppose to see, but he was unavailable that day and we were desperate to get him in to see an orthopedic surgeon. I wished we had gotten him after such a horrible experience. I would never want her to misdiagnose another family so I am sharing our story. read more

After a horrid experience taking my son to the ER two days in a row for a nursemaid elbow that hadn't been fixed properly after two attempts, I was given a referral to Dr Rozansky by my HMO group. I called first thing Monday morning and by 10:00 am, my three year old and I were in her office and greeted by her friendly staff. We were roomed within 15 minutes of my paper work being completed and waited another 20 before her assistant came in to tell us we needed more X-rays (the ones we had from ER were not the correct views for this particular injury). We had X-rays and returned to our room. Dr Rozansky came in to see us within 10-15 minutes of the X-rays. Although it was a wait, I understand that a physician--especially a surgeon--may encounter other patients or issues that take longer than the appointment time allotted. I was just thankful that her staff fit us in today. She was very warm and comforting to my son and I loved that she got down to his level and gave him time to warm up to her. She listened to him and made him feel as secure as a little boy could (considering he had two failed attempts at the ER to get his elbow back in place). I had my infant with me and she kindly offered to have the office manager come hold my infant so that I could hold my son for the procedure. Within seconds, she had my son's elbow back in place and didn't skip a beat when he karate kicked her in the stomach. We couldn't leave until he demonstrated that he had use of his arm again....and this is where this office totally won me over--as Dr rosansky had to move on to care for another patient, her office manager stayed and helped me encourage my son (whose willpower is amazing) to use his arm. She went above and beyond the call of duty and was so patient and kind. We finally succeeded and were able to go home. We never felt rushed and she explained everything clearly to me as far as prognosis etc. I highly recommend her and I couldn't be happier that we stumbled upon her by chance. I called in Thursday afternoon to make an appointment with dr. Rosansky. They said they had an opening for friday and to just bring my insurance card . My 18 month old son elbow has popped out of his socket three times . We got to the office at 12. The women at the front desk was not very nice. She was grumpy and unfriendly. Around 1240 I noticed that people who came in after us started to be seen by the doctor. I went to the front to complain and she told me that I was an add in and we have to wait. She explained to me that she told me over the phone and I said she did not. I have an 18 and a 7 month old child. Why would I ever have them wait to see a doctor, unless it was a true energency? She told me that I could reschedule if I like and I said if you are running late today the likelihood is that you guys run late every day. Plus they would not see me if I didn't sign the waiver. Another 30 minutes go by and i am still not seen. I asked them again how much longer and she said at least another 30 minutes. I said forget it and we left. They wanted me to wait 2 hours to see the doctor. I don't know why doctors think it is okay to make your patience wait like that. This is the only profession that can get away with it. I am a physician myself, mentioning this, as to clarify that i am much familiar with our medical system. She is certainly a gem. My kid had a broken ankle at a baseball game; both bones were fractured at the ankle joint (compound fracture.) She showed up on Sunday evening (try to get a plumber at that time!) reduced the fracture in the ER, explaining to the kid, with kid language, masterfully putting the whole fractured displaced joint back together, in a minute. Great bedside manner, caring and professional. I understand that some time the patients may be unhappy, because the doctor may miss to diagnose a rare disease (and later on when the patient is more symptomatic,) other doctors will diagnose the patient, and the initial doctor may get a bad rap. I understand when patients might be unhappy because of the medical bill. I am actually ashamed that we had Blue Shield PPO (only thing half decent available) and they paid the doctor for all of her works so little (I take my kid, same kid, who also has autism to pediatric psychiatrist and pay $400 for 45 min, and I am happy that we got the appointment, or I see people getting cosmetics, $500 for one Botox shot, but the poor orthopedic doctor, showing up on Sunday eve, with all the follow up, getting paid so low, a shame on private ins company, gauging people with high exuberant premiums, and paying out so little!) Please have no hesitation, she is just great in what she does. read more
