I left my precious provider due to her constant laziness and disregard for my health and her always being late to see me. So I had hope with this new office things would be different. I had a new patient appointment back in August was already a little put off as the office is run down and the exam rooms were dirty and missing the usual equipment you'd see in a doctors office exam room. Nevertheless I met with Rayra Coehlo and she and I planned for me to get some bloodwork done to see what's going on with my hormones. Did the bloodwork on 9/3 my provider Rayra Coelho NP told me to my face she'd call me the same day with the lab results because "they usually process them really fast so I'll have them by the end of the day". Never heard from her. I have spent the past 5 weeks calling their office to never have them answer. When they finally do, the provider is never available and they never know what's going on. Last week I called on 10/3 and was told by the girl who answered my lab results were in fact in and that my provider Rayra was with patients all day but they would put a message for her to call me that day or on Monday when she was in again. No call ever came friday, nor did one come on Monday. I called the office Monday, nobody answered. I called Tuesday, no answer. I called yesterday and finally got ahold of someone ONLY TO FIND OUT my provider Rayra actually left the practice 2 weeks ago at the end of September and a new NP named Lisa had joined the practice. Meaning when I called on Friday 10/3 and they told me she (Rayra) was in and would give me a call, that was an absolute lie as she no longer even worked for the practice. I asked the woman on the phone (who also just started working there allegedly) to have a provider contact me by the end of the day yesterday (10/9) with an update; never got that call. This morning 10/10 I get a call from the same woman today asking me if I can tell her where I went for my lab work because they don't have the results in their system. Which is VERY ironic considering I was told on 10/3 they had my results and I just needed to wait on the call from the provider to discuss them. They even asked if it was okay to leave a voicemail, I said yes (they never did that either). So it's been 5 weeks since I've had bloodwork, have yet to hear from my provider (if I even have one anymore). I've been lied to several times already about where my provider is and where my results are. They aren't even uploaded to myChart where I can look for myself. Yet every time I'm finally able to get on the line with someone it's excuses and lies and more excuses and lies. I WILL be reporting them and filing a complaint against this "medical office" for their negligence and piss poor care. Dr. Mansourati and Nurse Practitioner Ducharme deliver competent clinical care and demonstrate solid medical expertise. Unfortunately, the administrative operations at this practice fall substantially below acceptable standards, fundamentally compromising the patient experience. In properly managed facilities, administrative personnel facilitate care rather than impede it. Here, routine interactions prove unnecessarily burdensome, and front office demeanor frequently registers as dismissive rather than patient-centered. When individuals are navigating health challenges, administrative friction compounds their burden and represents a failure of essential service. Particularly disheartening is watching capable clinical providers have their efforts consistently undermined by operational deficiencies. Healthcare demands collaboration across all levels. When administrative conduct works against patient welfare, it negates even skilled medical work. Until substantial improvements are made, I recommend seeking care elsewhere.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I woke up with pain radiating down my neck, spine, and arms to a point where I still can't move my upper body. I had been in to see Connie Ducharme a few months back for the same issue (less intense at the time). I called Fairlawn primary care this morning and asked for medication (not opiates) to help with the pain while I work on getting x-rays. I get a VM from Rebecca stating that my PA sent the script to a pharmacy I haven't used in years, which I had already updated with Fairlawn at my last visit, but THEY left it in the system. I called back and proceeded to ask if it could be transferred to my local pharmacy because I am in so much pain I can't drive long distances. I can't move my neck to switch lanes or sit up for long periods of time, etc. No empathy provided. Just Rebecca taking the phone and coming down my throat full force. Rebecca took the phone from the receptionist and proceeded to yell at me. "It's not Fairlawn's problem you have multiple pharmacies on file" - my response was "it was because I updated them during my last visit." I also reminded her that my prior medications a few months ago were sent to the correct CVS, why wasn't this one? She did not have any answers to my questions. She proceeded to say to me "every time you call you have an attitude." That is bullying and took me back. Especially because the last time I was in the office, Rebecca told me to drop her name if I wanted my boyfriend to become a patient, even though Fadi wasn't accepting anymore. Why extend that olive branch to a person that's always a problem? Gaslighting as its finest. Ethics complaint will be filed with the state when I am contacted with Rebecca's remaining details. Upholding patient autonomy, beneficence, and justice means respecting a patient's right to self-determination (autonomy), acting in their best interest (beneficence), and ensuring fair, equitable treatment for all (justice). My best interest was not acted in, Rebecca's was. Bullying me and threating to withhold medication is in direct violation with Rhode Island's Healthcare Ethics.

Dr. Behtash was recommended to me by my doctor at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Susanna Magee - who was my doctor for both of my pregnancies. I enjoyed Dr Magee's style, ease of emailing communication, and asked for her to recommend a local provider to be my regular physician. Dr. Behtash runs a micro office, which allows her to spend a ton more time with her patience -- you set up your appointments, and even email her through an app or online. This helps because she is the one who writes back to you - not a nurse! My first visit with her was about an hour. She took the time to truly understand me and my history, and has been incredibly kind at subsequent visits. She is young, knowledgable, warm, and welcoming - and I 100% recommend her to others! My husband just made the switch, and he said the quality of care was unlike anything he had ever experienced. And the best part - barely any waiting for my appointment!

When I talk to other people they seem to think all of this is normal, but it's not what I've been used to. First of all, the office waiting area as well as the building is a little run down. It would be nice to have an office that makes you feel fresh, even if you're not feeling fresh yourself. The first time I met with Dr. Dorris, she was nice, but she came into the room with an agenda. After I left and went to pick up my medication, I found out that she has prescribed another vitamin that she did not tell me about. This is the same vitamin that she asked about as soon as she walked into the room, before she even got to know me, so I feel like she filed the prescription before she even met with me. I actually already take this vitamin, as I told her, so there was no need to get a prescription for it. Each time since then I have had to wait a considerable amount of time both in the waiting room and then again in the room. Once when I was 5 minutes late, they almost scolded me for it, but with the waiting experience I have had there before, I haven't seen the need to be on time only to wait there. For the last time, it took an hour just to have a med check - something that should've taken less than 15 minutes.
