After getting 2 new ac units this was our next step. They spent the entire day and the amount of dust and crud they removed was amazing. They even vacuumed the rooms after to get the debris that fell. I was nervous about getting scammed from some half baked duct cleaning company so we went to the certification site NADCA and found John and his team. Being chemical sensitive I was also worried they would spray a fragrance in the ducts. Instead they wiped down the vents and openings with vinegar and water for me. And I didn't have to ask. I just told them about my sensitivities and that was the level of respect they showed! We can tell a difference already. Several hours later it could be restarted and would again run for several hours. Bob had me check the condensate safety float and as soon as I removed it the unit started up. Bob then walked me through how to clean out the drainage line. It was very clogged and after I cleaned it out as he instructed the unit has been fine ever since. I really appreciate that Bob took the time out of his busy day to help me with my problem with no expectation of payment. In my book, that is providing great value. I called them immediately as it was 85 in my house already and I have 2 small children who were already uncomfortable. They told me the soonest they could have someone out was more than 24 hours after my call. I had to find someone to come out sooner. I would have thought since it was an emergency and a prior customer, I might have got a little better treatment then that. I wish the problems stopped there. AC Guys put in my warranty information wrong. The person I hired needed that paperwork to get the part and ended up installing the wrong part because the paperwork was wrong. When I called AC Guys, they fixed the warranty information and it was still incorrect. They have since corrected that. However, I am now out $2500 because of their error. I have asked several times for the owner Tommy to call me to work out a solution. He has been avoiding me and the Office Manager is refusing to see not only my problem but also how this whole thing is their fault. She is also not wanting to give me a solution either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They do not care about their customers at all.

In a second floor condo, that is a complicated and expensive thing to replace. So I suggested that we bring in AC Guys for another opinion, as I have used them before. They charged 1/3rd the price and told me what the issue was but did suggest, as the system was 20 years old, it would be more cost effective to replace it. I didn't have to meet with anyone. I simply left a check and key. they took care of it all. Even scheduled the county inspector. Anytime they were coming out, I got a text message from them and a message from the technician with their pic. Very smooth and professional experience.

Unfortunate story of miscommunication and contracts. I had to replace my old upstairs AC unit 2 years ago and used calvary mechanical because I had great experiences with their technicians. Im all for Christ centered businesses. I love it. They were always upfront about everything and always came through in a pinch. They replaced my old AC unit with their own Calvary series Heat Pump and they said it was a big upgrade from the old AC. Miscommunication 1: The technician said all Calvary units come with 10 years labor warranty. The truth is only Calvary "Signature" series qualify. Unfortunately it never could bring the humidity down lower than high 50s and it struggled to keep the upstairs at temp when my old AC never had those issues. They did their due diligence to solve the issue as best they could but we're unable to. I got cancer during that process, so I had bigger things to focus on. Fast forward a year and a half later the AC stops working, so I have to get it fixed cause chemo is already bad enough in a comfortable house let alone a hot one. The technician comes and tells me I have no labor warranty. Then miscommunication 2: He says it will be $130 and that I will pay the first part for the visit $90 and then when they come back to replace the part I will pay the remainder. The truth was $90 for the visit and the $130 was a separate charge for the replacing of the part. Mind you both times they did what they needed to in 10 minutes. Am I naive, extremely unlucky, or they intentionally did it? I don't know. What I do know is that since buying the AC I have constantly had one bad thing after another happen to me when I dealt with them. The two stars instead of one is for the technicians that were always polite and respectful. I wish them the best.
