I have seen this place advertised on FB for about a year now, and have really been desiring to go. Finally, I was able to talk #SuperHubs into taking me. He only agreed because he knows I love photographing butterflies! I wasn't quite sure what to expect as their website is a little hazy on the details. But, once we arrived, I knew I would have a good time. I admit that my kids were a little too old to enjoy the perks of the farm, including the caterpillar slides, misting pergola, & educational show. However, if you have toddlers-maybe 5th graders, they would go ba-zonkers over it! I did enjoy the butterfly habitat immensely though, and so did my teenagers. And, I got some great shots! The staff was UBER-friendly and knowledgeable, and the farm was immaculately clean (for a farm). Not sure if I would return since my kids are too old (it's kind of a one-and-done thing), but if I had smaller kids with me, I certainly would.

Admission- cash or checks!! No credit cards!

Located just off hwy 68 down a short gravel road lies a combination nursery, and butterfly farm. There are picnic and play areas for kids. This is predominantly child focused area. Nora provided a short discussion teaching adults and kids alike facts about butterflies. Audience participation (kids dress up) was s a big part of it. I thought it went well and didn't drag on too long. A plus on a hot hot day. The earlier you arrive (but not before 9!) the earlier group you're placed in for one on hundreds of butterflies and feeding. Again not too long ~15 mins per group so just enough time. Cons: Gravel road that is narrow Limited activities for adults No concession sales ( water, soda) Pros: Short gravel road Port a potties Picnic area with sunbrellas Small walking trail Inexpensive fee Entertaining and worth at least one visit TLDR: if you have young kids this is a must visit - pack a lunch snack or drinks though or you'll have complaints in short order. Adults it's with at least one visit. Maybe more depending on your love of butterflies.

This place is so cute! Very nice learning experience not only for children but for us adults as well. The show at the beginning was very nice and informational. The show started right on time and everything took about an hr it was so nice. We came on a gloomy cloudy day and still had a nice time. Nothing but good things to say.

We bought two milkweed plants, one with butterfly eggs on it, the other without, in hopes of them having butterflies in their yard.

So I paid for my dog and saw the reviews here and freaked out a bit. It was totally unwarranted…read more Communication with Angel at Happy Tails was great. She was responsive and helpful. They gave me a delivery date for my toy teacup maltipoo and everything went great. He arrived exactly when they said he would. He arrived clean, happy, and healthy with all of his paperwork and food. I took him to the vet the next day and they said he was in great shape, healthy, and had a great personality. He looked exactly like the photos and his personality is perfect. It seems like they likely represent multiple breeders given the volume of dogs they have on the site but my experience was great.

WARNING: HAPPYTAIL PUPPIES…read more Subject: Formal Notice of Unresolved Health Issues and Request for Full Reimbursement I am writing to formally address the ongoing health crisis regarding the puppy we purchased from Happy Tail Puppies eight weeks ago. Despite our continuous communication and adherence to your directives, our puppy remains ill, and I am deeply concerned by your recent response regarding our financial coverage. Summary of Health Issues Upon arriving home, our puppy exhibited respiratory distress. We immediately sought veterinary care and alerted them to the situation, acting on their advice to prioritize medical evaluation. The resulting diagnostics confirmed: Kennel Cough and Early-Onset Pneumonia: Despite completing two full courses of antibiotics, the puppy is still suffering from a persistent cough eight weeks later. Giardia: The puppy arrived with this parasite and has required two separate rounds of treatment. Concern Regarding Breeder Recommendations I am profoundly troubled by their suggestion that I should have utilized the "Trupanion' insurance policy, that I would have been required to wait 12 days before seeking veterinary care to ensure coverage. To be clear: they first advised that I should treat our puppy sooner then later. Then after it was time for them to take care of the expenses, they suggested we neglect an ill, eight-week-old puppy for nearly two weeks to satisfy an insurance waiting period. Furthermore, the suggestion that I cancel the insurance after 30 days is contrary to responsible pet ownership. My priority is and will always be the health of my dog, not insurance convenience or financial loopholes. Resolution Requested Because these conditions were present when the puppy left their care, we have incurred significant, ongoing veterinary expenses. Their offer to cover only 50% of these medical bills is unacceptable given that these were pre-existing issues or failures in their care prior to the puppy coming home. I am requesting full reimbursement for all veterinary costs associated with these conditions to date. They have confirmed receipt of the medical reports and bills previously submitted. We expect a prompt resolution that prioritizes the welfare of the puppy theysold us.

I have also never worked with a breeder who seemed sincerely interested that her pups remain happy and healthy throughout their life. This is their business, but it is clearly also a labor of love--both for her pups as well as the families who adopt them. Melody was has a wealth of information to raise a dog holistically. Everything they do is professional and detailed oriented. They provide a wealth of professionally written and organized information. Seeking Shalom Acres raises her pups in the home with her husband and nine children. As a result, my puppy was already well socialized and confident, and nearly 100% potty trained. I have never experienced bringing a puppy home and after just two days was successfully going potty on her wee pads 90% of the time. It was the easiest transition/training period ever! Seeking Shalom Acres has an informative and fun Facebook and YouTube channel. Once I purchased our puppy, they provided a complete puppy manual, a puppy checklist....I have never been so prepared to bring a new puppy home. Melody also provides lifetime support which I have used extensively. Melody responds immediately and thoroughly through text or email.
