    Chicken Panini & Guarana Pop
    Abby M.

Had a tasty chicken panini inside their new restaurant space. The service was friendly and the space was air conditioned and comfortable, decorated with bench and chair seating with various train signs hung along the walls. Food and drink was a bit pricey (my can of pop was over $4.00 but comes from Brazil) but was good. Food was hot-drink was cold! Great spot along the trail to take a break from biking, jogging, or walking.

It's my personal opinion that there should be food trucks up and down the Pennypack Trail. These people know what's good for them. I live pretty much next to this thing and always seemed to walk by without stopping. It's only open on the weekends, and there always seems to be a decent amount of people hanging around. It's a great pit stop. Their menu is very small, with a Brazilian touch. So far, I've only eaten the Caprese Panini, which is awesome. They put a gourmet spin on the Italian classic by adding some bacon and fig up in the mix. I would absolutely get it again, and would be willing to raise up my rating after more experiences. They have seating for anyone who is hanging out, which is convenient. The girls behind the window are extremely happy to be there. If you're taking a stroll, make it a point to stop by throughout your adventure.

    Train themed food truck.

Traditional Brazilian barbecue uses coarse salt on the meat that is cooked over an open flame or direct heat source. None of the meat was seasoned this way. 2) Farofa (unforgivable oversight for Brazilians). 3) Lightly breaded, fried bananas - a churrascaria staple. 4) Picanha com alho (garlic) - They served a garlic covered cheaper piece of meat. 5) Creme de Papaya com Cassis. Service was efficient, and they ran a special for people celebrating their birthday. The birthday person gets their main course for free. 20% tip was automatically added. Our server reminded us that was divided between them and other staff and pointed out the space where we could add an additional tip. Ambiance was traditional Brazilian steakhouse, with a small salad bar with hot food selections, as well. Conclusion: If you want an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse / Churrascaria experience, you're better off driving into Philadelphia, to King of Prussia, or Easton where you can still find it. It's worth the drive at this price point.

Absolutely delicious food and incredible service…read more I've lived in this area the majority of my life and only recently dined at this restaurant. I am not an adventurous eater, but I could kick myself for not going sooner. The food was that delicious and very importantly reasonably priced. My husband and I decided to try it during a date night, and I can't wait to go back. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our starter was Tandoori Samsa. Our entrees were the Classic Lamb and Plov Samarkand. For dessert we shared the Pahlava. If I had to change anything I would have ordered my own Pahlava. We are already planning to go back for his birthday with the whole family.

We found out that most of the people (regulars) who usually come here are on their vacation season so it was not an issue getting a six-top reservation with only a day's notice. The restaurant is huge with at least two mega rooms downstairs and one upstairs. We actually went to the upstairs door to check in only to be told we had to go to the downstairs door and check in there. Once we did, the staff asked if we would be ok with being in the "party" room where there would be a DJ. We were fine with that and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Once at our table, the extensive menus made it almost too difficult to decide what we wanted. May want to consider reducing the food options here. My wife and I split a tomahawk steak. Once we ordered it, we were told we should probably move to an eight-top because we would have more space. The place was almost empty at 6:15pm on a Saturday so we got to move and give us some more room. We also had two serving of Plov, a prime NY strip, a roasted beet salad, and a chicken fingers with fries. We added some bread, too, along with some compote. The Plov was some of the best we've ever had with lots of tender meat. Both steaks were cooked to our liking. Fries were killer and the chicken fingers were fine. I did not care for the compote as I'm used to it with fruit still in the drink. At about 7pm, the DJ started but there was no separate party which is what we thought was going to show up. The DJ sang some and played up-tempo dance music but also threw in some known music like Ob-Bla-Dee Ob-Bla-Dah from the Beatles also in the dance music style. So much fun after drinking a lot of our BYOB alcohol. Service was excellent and more than accommodating for us. He even advised when we were getting ready to leave that it was raining hard and we could stay until it died down. The restaurant is colorful with lights and designs on the walls including projector lights and white linen sheets above. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.

So she and my daughter picked me up and drove me up and I was blown away by the experience. This isn't like that high end Brazilian steakhouse chain that we all love but rather it's a locally owned restaurant. where you go up to a buffet and you select your vegetables, and then you go to the counter and select your meats And then they weigh your plate. So everyone in your party gets their plates weighed and your party is assigned a number on a placard which you take back to your table. Once you want more food, you repeat the process and hand them your number. What your entire party has eaten is electronically recorded and when you ask for your check it's totaled up. My friend has eaten there many times and has never seen a discrepancy in the check nor did I. It's a great system. The food is exceptional. I loved trying some new Brazilian side items that I have never had. And on this visit, I was lucky to try a soda made from a fruit from the Brazilian rainforest. This was a new food adventure for me and one that I'm going to try again and again.

We said yes, and they said we could sit wherever. The place was bustling. So many people came in after we did, and there we saw a lot of take out orders being picked up as well. Their menu is pretty extensive. We decided to split the Chicago burger and fries. We saw everyone ordering these pitchers of drinks. We didn't ask and assumed it was Sergio's drink on the menu. We ordered a raspberry lime. It ended up being their version of bottle soda...which was very good. We realized it was the pitcher of smoothies everyone was ordering. We definitely felt like we missed out, but will try next time. We were checking out what everyone was getting. A lot of acai bowls were being delivered to tables. They looked really good. The small one looked like a large size from other places. Someone ordered a large and the bowl was huge!! Our Chicago Burger came out and looked great. The meat was a little different from a traditional burger, but was very tasty. The cheese on it was so good. I took some of it and put it on the fries. The fries were very good too. Almost like a double fry. Looking at the menu there are also two other locations; one in Long Branch, NJ and one in Philly.
