He was in good health for being 9 years old which is still young for cats and their lifespan. While I was at work, the cat had a medical emergency and I needed to come home to take my cat in immediately. I called my vet and they said they could squeeze him in an hour and a half later, but my baby needed immediate attention. I called Blue Pearl because A) I've had emergency services with them before (at their Southfield location) and B) they could take him immediately. So, off to Blue Pearl I went. Walking in I was greeted by the receptionist who was familiar with me since I had spoken with her on the phone previously. They took Kopi back for an exam and sat me in an exam room while this happened. The vet tech took our information and eventually the doctor came in to give us the grim news. Kopi had an aortic thrombosis and there was no way to save him. Euthanasia was the route we were recommended, and after a TON of crying and questions, we prepared ourselves for the situation. The staff was super professional, considering the circumstances for us. We were escorted to a special room to spend our final moments with Kopi and say our goodbyes. Eventually, they brought him in all wrapped up and ready to go. Here's my only complaint: They said he was going to be sedated with morphine but it did not appear that he was well medicated and clearly in pain. If he was medicated, he was still extremely uncomfortable which made saying goodbye even more difficult. We couldn't really hold him because it hurt him to much. (the condition he passed from is painful for the cat.) I wish they had given him a little more sedation to make it easier for us and comfortable for the cat. We said our goodbyes and the doctor came in to administer the medication. We got a paw print and paid the bill and off we went. I know sometimes things don't go as planned with pets for both the medical professionals and the owners like me, but you have to do what's best for the pet. It hurts my heart to watch them suffer regardless of the circumstances. Will I use Blue Pearl again? absolutely. They have saved the day for me twice now, and even though it's a bit more expensive than my regular vet, they got me in right away and handled the business even when it's not the outcome anybody wants.

On Tuesday night in the middle of the worst night of our lives, we called Blue Pearl. We had called…read more6 other hospitals prior (because they were closer to us) in need of immediate care for our cat with FIP. The person on the phone heard about the symptoms our cat was having, and expressed to us that they were currently pretty slammed. She said "but you know what if you can get here we'll get him on supportive care right away". We jumped in the car immediately. We arrived and were immediately seen. Every member of the staff treated our boy like their own. They were so gentle, compassionate, and sensitive to the difficulty of the situation. Unfortunately at the end of the evening we had to euthanize our boy. The doctor was direct with us about whether he thought hospitalization would actually give our boy comfort or if it would just be prolonging his pain. And again after making that awful but necessary decision, every staff member was kind, gentle, and sensitive despite also being very busy with other important emergencies. From the very beginning we were comforted and taken care of by these veterinary professionals. It was still one of the hardest moments of our lives, but the staff made it as easy and comfortable as they possibly could have.

I have to go back to google and upload my review again every time they remove it. This is not an honest company you want to take your pets to. We need transparency and honesty in the veterinary industry. Our pets can't talk, we are their voices. I am trying to warn others and all they care about is their image. Note: Their Facebook reviews are all fake, they delete negative reviews. I left a negative review on their Facebook page and they removed it. That shows you the type of people you are dealing with. They can't delete this review since they have no control. Warning: Please do not go to this veterinarian clinic it could save your pets life. They performed unnecessary procedure on my cat that got them killed. They knew my cat was stressed out and still did more test. They should have brought my cat to me as soon as my cat was having trouble breathing. Instead they continued to stress my cat out by doing the x-ray, then doing blood test. They did not even draw blood from the neck which is the correct way, they stressed my cat out and SHAVED their leg and arm. All this caused my cat to stress and have a heart attack. A responsible clinic would have turned down the x-ray and advised for my cat to calm down first or to say we do not want to take the chance to stress them out. Instead they wanted to do as much procedures as they can to charge me. I REGRET GOING HERE. They killed my cat. They do not care about your pet, all they care about is money. They did an x-ray and could not even read the x-ray, they told me they are not sure and we should do a full blood test. The whole time my cat was panting and having trouble breathing in the back room and they did not tell me until after they completed all the procedures. If I knew I would have not done the blood test. They kept my cat in the back room and took so long without me. They didn't tell me my cat was stressed so I agreed to do the full blood test. After all those procedures (knowing they are going to charge me) they brought my cat back to me and tell me my cat is having trouble breathing. After all that time and stress they wait until they are done to tell me that. As soon as they brought my cat to me my cat took her last gasp and died. My cat was crying as they were dying! They still did not tell me what was wrong. THEY ARE VERY INEXPERIENCED. I made the mistake of listening to everything they told me to do and that ended up stressing my pet and causing them to go into cardiac arrest and die at their care. I brought my cat alive, they brought my cat to me dying. When you go to them they will sweet talk you into doing things you don't want to do. They take advantage of the fact that you are worried for your pet and will do anything for them. I told them I have another appointment to a specialist and they told me to cancel it and they will take care of me. Please do not listen to these fake 5 star reviews. They reply back to the negative reviews saying you got the wrong clinic. Before you reply back telling me I am confused with another clinic, I AM NOT. Before they reply back saying that is not my name I never saw them. I'm using an anonymous name so they do not harass me. I lost my cat because of them.

It was extremely dirty inside, and the doctor there seemed agitated when my dog jumped on him. He didn't mean any harm, he just wants to play with anyone he comes in contact with. He's a rescue, and he hasn't learned yet not to jump on people when he comes in contact . We're working on it! They also charged me for an oral flea medication, and a shot. They never gave him neither, I didn't realize it until I looked at my bill that I was charged for those things. So we had to go back the next day, to receive the things that I paid for, but didn't get ! Soooooo this time, when I searched in Google, I meant Bloomfield Animal Hospital, so I made sure this time I got it right. He's so caring and knowledgeable, and prices are extremely reasonable.

I called the emergency clinic and was told the dosage amount had likely poisoned him and he needed ER care immediately. When I called the clinic the next day, they reconfirmed the amount and said it was correct. Zero accountability and no concern for my dog's condition. The office is old. They don't use electronic records. And the vet cannot bend or get down to the dog's level. I was asked to hike my 80 pound golden retriever to the waist high table while the vet sat there. So happy to have switched over to a new clinic. I'd recommend staying far from this office.

I don't know who has a vendetta against this office... But you don't know what you're talking about…read morebecause they're wonderful. Yes, they are people that are way too invested in the animals that they care for, they put in a ton of hours and they might be tired because they care too much. For anyone to say that they don't care, is crazy! They are literally in it for the animals. How I found Dr. B at Bloomfield Pointe veterinary hospital was because my "bougie" vet, that I had seen for over 10 years, effed me over more than once. My Boston terrier was having a lot of crazy issues happening suddenly and in a short span of time and they wouldn't book me an appointment closer than three weeks out. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!? I called around like a crazy person and Dr. Ballou had me come in same day. It took a little bit to figure out what was going on with our dog, and when we did, it was a tumor and it was cancerous and he was going to die from it. Another great plus- they charge you what they have to. My vet would've charged ten times as much to take X-rays or surgery or basically anything. These guys are in it for the animals. Not only did Dr. B walk me through everything, he helped me walk through the entire journey of making sure our dog was comfortable, and that we knew everything that was going on. Our dog took his last breath in his office and I can't be more thankful for having Dr B. and his team supporting us. On top of that, two months later my other dog started his health journey of doom. My dog grew one of the biggest tumors in a short amount of time, and sure enough, it was Dr. B who is the one that helped us. He and his staff went way beyond measure to take care of him. They saved his life. And we all didn't think he was gonna make it. My third dog in the same year, needed an ACL surgery. I'm so grateful for this team. This veterinarian and these people at this office have been nothing but helpful, loving and they're killing it at what they do.
