I honestly can't say enough good things about this birth center. The midwives are truly incredible. Kyndal and Kassidy are angels. They are knowledgeable, emotionally supportive, and genuinely caring. They made me feel safe and respected the entire time. They have solutions for everything and did so well educating me on health, nutrition, my body, pregnancy, and the delivery process. Every part of my experience with them felt intentional and thoughtful, from the amazing childbirth classes with Brooke, to their newborn specialist Diana who was such a huge support after delivery. Anita was always so helpful and kind as well. I always felt listened to, never rushed, and like I mattered to them. They went above and beyond for me in ways I'll never forget, and because of them I had not just one, but two of the most beautiful birth experiences I could have EVER imagined. I've never felt as safe and loved as I did here. I truly don't know how I would've survived without them. I feel beyond blessed to have found this birth center. Mothers BEWARE. At my midwife appointment, I was asking my midwife more knowledge about hemorrhaging, tearing, and just what their protocols would be. This was my first home birth experience. As a patient I should be able to ask questions, express fears, in hopes to gain knowledge and reassurance back from my midwife. A few days later, I get a call from them saying they can no longer see me and think a hospital birth would be more fitting. Mind you, I am 31 weeks pregnant. Healthy pregnancy, no reason for a hospital birth. All I did was ask what they do in an instance of a mother bleeding too much, or tearing ect. They not only pocketed $1600 from me, but dropped me high and dry so late into my pregnancy because I asked what do they do in a "what if" instance were to happen. As mothers, and going the unmedicated home birth route, or even a birthing center route, we should be allowed and welcomed to talk about these types of things with our midwife. I am absolutely shocked from the care we have received from them and how we were so poorly managed. They claim they're a faith based Christian center, but I see no grace, compassion, or anything Christian about how we were handled. Mothers, please find somewhere else. Would hate for you to express or even ask a simple question and they take your money and drop you. read more

This is our first time going the home birth route - everything was great in the beginning, they were working with us on the different things we needed. Out of the blue, they dropped us from their care at 7 months pregnant. Gave us a list of other providers and sent us on our way. Problem is many providers either don't take in new patients at this stage of pregnancy or don't prorate. Their reasoning was because my wife expressed some fears and asked questions to try to get some reassurance.. That's it. They pocket ~$1,600 for 2 visits and we're left trying to find someone else to help us. Be careful with expressing your fears, if you don't want to lose money. read more

What an incredible operation! Everyone here is soothing and professional. You cannot have that many smiles in one place unless people love their job! The birthing rooms are all clean, quiet and comfortable. The midwives are the friendliest people ever. That's a great thing when you are in a highly stressful situation! The face they have a chiropractor for pre-natal care is excellent. What was super more important for my wife, was all the care (including noticing the symptoms of postpartum) after the baby. Once the baby comes out, all the attention goes to the baby, and the mother is practically discarded. I still think about this place almost four years later. They somehow hid my Google review, but this place was not the haven I had hoped for when I used AAB for my pregnancy. After processing everything, I do regret this choice. AAB sells you on the feeling that you will get tailored personal care, but you have to rotate who you see, making the experience more impersonal than seeing the same doctor each time. Sometimes, students would sit in on my appointments, and I was not properly introduced. At my last couple of appointments, they also had Diana (nurse) sit in, and she would be on her phone (very inconsiderate and rude bedside manner) but pipe in with comments. Part of the issue might be that I saw their newest midwife for most of my appointments, who does not have great social skills and is a bit scattered. She lost my Group B strep test. I had to ask about it at my next appointment, retake the test, and then ask AGAIN about it at the appointment after that, where I found out I was positive. It's scary to think about now. I signed paperwork stating that I wanted students/apprentices to "help in small ways as I feel comfortable" at my birth. That was NOT considered in my case. For example, a student and the nurse (phone lady) were fumbling to get my IV going while I was in labor. The nurse instructed the student on what to do rather than just doing it herself. They had issues taping my IV on and regulating the flow of the antibiotic. It wasn't a great way to start things. I was at AAB for about 15 hours laboring. Towards the end of my labor (at AAB because I transferred), I hit a wall and was exhausted. It probably wasn't the best time to tell me I had a mental block, and I wasn't giving in to the pain. I wanted to leave but kept being told that I was "so close" and that if I got in an ambulance, I would probably have my baby in the vehicle. I was so tired and depleted that it was really hard for me to muster up the energy to stand up for myself or to really have a good idea of what to do. I didn't have any urge to push, but they had me start pushing while the midwife pushed down inside my cervix (which was very painful). I kept saying repeatedly, "he isn't coming," and they kept telling me I was close. For about 3 hours, we had this back and forth until they finally decided to "suggest" what I wanted hours ago - to leave. I transferred, and lo and behold, I did not deliver in the ambulance. I ended up having a C-Section, which was fine by me after the intense exhaustion of laboring unmedicated for 15 hours (or more, if you count laboring at home, too). This place might be OK for an experienced mom but don't come here as a first-time mom. read more

Wonderful group of knowledgeable, kind and honest women. Kassidy and Kyndal taught me so much about my pregnancy and how to confidently birth my baby. (The childbirth educator, Brooke, is wonderful!) I would highly recommend All About Babies to anyone looking for a more holistic and natural option for giving birth. We were going to have a birth center birth but switched to home birth after feeling like that was the best option for our family and the team wholeheartedly accepted my choice. I've debated leaving a review for a while, but ultimately I've decided to post one because I never saw a single bad word about AAB before we signed on with them. (Note: there has been an owner change, so the issues below may have resolved themselves naturally.) First, they are expensive. They will tell you that their prices are cheaper than a hospital birth. But I ended up having a C-section, so I saw both bills compared. The price difference between AAB's birthing center care vs. mainstream medical care was negligible. A competitor's birthing center priced out about $5,000+ cheaper. While the midwives were friendly and welcoming, there was always an undertone of superiority. They usually disregarded any concerns I had as being silly. At one point, my blood pressure was through the roof and it was making me feel very sick. I went in the next day and was entirely dismissed, "probably because I'd been out running errands 2 days before." Total nonsense. During the birthing class, they also told us that we wouldn't have "those complications" (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, etc) because we were birthing at AAB and following their regimen. It made me feel that if anything did go wrong, it would be my fault. We had a disagreement about when the bill should be paid. Their contract said I had until 34 weeks. When I was about 31 weeks, they told me they would not be able to continue my services until I paid, even though the deadline to pay was still weeks away. A simple reminder of what I owed would have been appropriate at that point. Instead, 3 people pushed the issue and Donnellyn was calling me on my phone during my appointment. That level of harassment was inexcusable, and though they tried to repair it later, they never admitted to being wrong about their actions. It was later very hard to go into appointments (and eventually the birth) and face them. A positive: the birth itself was HARD, which was no one's fault. And when I reached the point of exhaustion and was failing to progress, Donnellyn was the first to suggest that I be transferred to the hospital. In that moment, there was no blame and no shame in giving up the natural birth that I'd wanted. read more

The minute we pulled up it was a dream! We stopped in for a tour and Donnellyn greeted us immediately. we actually came in on a day they were closed and putting away christmas decorations. But when i spoke with the staff on the phone and explained how difficult it would be for my husband to get off work during their normal tour hours they made no issue of fitting us in on off hours. The facility is open and inviting. very warm atmosphere like you are walking into someones home. clean and organized. they have 3 suites and unlike other places where you pay by the room (and still may not get the one you paid for because of another labor going on) at AAB moms in labor can choose any room provided its not currently occupied. they have a special entrance just for moms and dads in labor and an entrance for visiting families coming/going during labor. of course we loved it and are still loving it! baby has a few more months till arrival but every step has been great. Our team of midwives and experts are always ready. they like to keep you informed about everything! they hold health, nutrition, exercise and birthing classes all at the center! plus many more like organic gardening and essential oils. the whole experience has been positive and encouraging! they even have a pasture with donkeys and chickens that the kids can go up to the fence and see! what we really love is how they welcome siblings! they have a great play area and let our son assist with the heart doppler to find the baby's heart beat! love love love! read more

Was not a fan AT ALL! I swapped during my first pregnancy at 26 weeks due to an awful OBGYN. Girls are very sweet but too young. None of them are married, have had kids, they don't understand pregnancy. We were recommended natural medicine that only drained our money, they didn't work, nor help. Too expensive overall. SUPER unorganized, it was like the three stooges working each time we went for an appointment. Every appointment is an hour long, it felt like I was talking with a therapist. Same badgering questions over and over. Never again will I return nor will I recommend. read more

My wife and I have loved our experience at All About Babies. They clearly prioritize relationships. We always leave feeling like the midwives genuinely desire peace and understanding over our pregnancy and we are never rushed out the door. The birth suites are well furnished and very comfortable and my wife is very excited to give birth here next month. As an added bonus, the fee includes an "exercise and nutrition" class and a 6 week birthing class taught by the very knowledgeable and experienced Brooke White. I honestly went to the first class expecting to be underwhelmed, but that couldn't have been farther from the truth. I was on the edge of my seat during these classes as I was taught just how amazing the female body is. These classes helped grow us in understanding and confidence and have literally given me an entirely new understanding of the birthing process as a whole. -Although Kassidy is young she is VERY knowledgeable and well educated. I had several unique things come up during my pregnancy with my second (bloodwork numbers and etc) and she always had next steps for me. And her next steps were always very effective. One small example, I had some swelling in my third trimester which I knew was common. She told me to start drinking dandelion root tea cause it can help with liver function. I drank it every day and after just one week my swelling stopped! I could feel a significant difference in how I felt! Her education is noticeably fresh. Plus she is just a kind, confident and compassionate person so very easy to get along with and enjoy! -I love that AAB is a one stop shop. They have onsite chiropractic and massage. (Dr. Emily's chiropractic care is the best!!) They also have a sonographer come there for your 20 week sono. -The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. I always felt comfortable. -Their aftercare is so intentional! Just one example of this, they had a home cooked meal for us immediately after delivery that we ate as we listened to our postpartum instructions. And it was delicious! Again, that's just one example. -They have a trained nicu nurse attend all births! I love Diane and really value her presence. Her experience made me feel even more at ease in regards to the safety of my newborn. I love AAB and would highly recommend! read more

I have contemplated leaving a review over the last 2.5 years, and always end up stopping myself. I'm due to have another baby soon and I keep remember the poor experience I had at All About Babies. Most of the staff is lovely, but I always felt I was talked down to by one person in particular. At my 12 week appointment, I inquired about the blood test that people take to learn about the baby's gender. I was sternly told that I need to learn patience. Whatever, some people are just all business and that's fine. No need to join me in my excitement. As the pregnancy progressed, I gained much more weight than I wanted to. I had a clean diet and I exercised daily, but I couldn't control the weight gain and severe swelling. I had gestational diabetes. I followed the midwives' diet recommendations very strictly and turned in my food diary and blood sugar numbers whenever I was asked. I would leave the birth center in tears after my latter appointments because one lady in particular was always so rude to me about my swelling and weight gain, even though I ate a very low carb and no sugar diet. I'm a slim person when I'm not pregnant, and I don't overeat. It turns out I have thyroid disease and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. My current OB told me that they tend to see more swelling in patients with thyroid issues. She recommended compression stalkings and has not said another word about it. I have felt so much more respected with an OB than I ever did with All About Babies. Here is the real problem I have with All About Babies. They put me and my baby in danger while I was in labor. When I was in labor, I came to the birth center around 7:30 pm. I was 1 cm dilated and 100% effaced. I was told to go home and take Tylenol PM and to get some sleep because it would be at least 24 hours before my baby was born. I arrived home at around 8 or 8:30, and immediately went into active labor. I was a first time mom and I didn't know things could progress so quickly. My husband called and texted the midwives, who told him to tell me to just take a bath and try to sleep. I was bleeding and throwing up, having constant contractions without breaks, and I was very scared. The ladies at All About Babies did not take my husband seriously when he tried communicating with them. They told him I could come back to the birth center, but if I was only a little more dilated then they would just send me home again. My body started to push and I was afraid something was wrong. My husband drove me to the hospital and my daughter was born 30 minutes later, at 11:15 pm. She was then taken immediately to the NICU. I went from 1 cm to 10 cm within just a few hours. In conclusion, I felt disrespected throughout my entire pregnancy, and then almost gave birth alone at home with my husband because of the negligence of All About Babies. And they do not offer refunds after 36 weeks. So we lost $7000 and had a nice hospital/NICU bill. I would definitely not recommend All About Babies. I feel they do not know what they are doing and they are awfully full of themselves and prideful. read more

My husband and I chose this birth center after interviewing Donnellyn Dominguez 9 years ago, when we were having our 2nd baby. We knew what we wanted, as we had already had a wonderful homebirth with our 1st baby, but that was in Virginia. Since then, we have had 4 babies through All About Babies, and we're about to have our 5th with them in October. Donnellyn has been my primary midwife with all 5 of them, and I could not be more thankful for her care. She truly shows that she cares at every single visit: taking the time to answer questions, respecting decisions that we made, and even taking the time to engage our other kids in the visits by showing them the baby dolls that show how big the baby had grown at each visit. During each birth, Donnellyn stayed with me the entire time, no matter how long the labor/postpartum lasted. She knew just what to do and say in order to help me feel safe and comfortable each time. I knew that I could trust her expertise. After birth, she would celebrate with us: taking our baby's footprints, allowing us time to bond with our baby, and praying for our family. Since we've already had 4 other births with All About Babies, I've also had the opportunity to have Kathleen at one of my births (2012), Kassidy at 2 births (2016 and 2018), and Nurse Diana at one birth (2018). All of these sweet ladies are such a blessing. They work so hard and for such long hours, caring for each client. I am very thankful for All About Babies! read more

I used a midwife who no longer works at this birth center. She was the only good thing about this place. The prices are ridiculously high and absolutely not covered by insurance. The location is obscure and if you happen to be in labor, as I was, in the middle of an ice storm then getting to the place will be extremely difficult if not impossible. And if you need a hospital you will have yet another difficult journey getting out of there. None of the midwives have admitting with a hospital. The male owner comes across as a used car salesman. He heard that I gave a bad review and called me saying he needed me to say something good about his place which I did - the midwife that I had was good but she's no longer there. Her substitute harassed me about my weight to tears. He even said he'd send me a gift card to a "really good restaurant not like Burger King" if I emailed him a good review about my midwife. Again, no problem, she was good but she left. I never did get that gift card. Lol! It was like he was just trying to power play me. Maybe there's new owners since my birth in 2013. Go someplace that makes you comfortable. It isn't about the midwife's comfort or the doctor's comfort. It's about mama's comfort. If you are 39.5 weeks along and dislike your care provider, go someplace else. I've had 4 babies and the times that I trusted my comfort over the provider's were the best times. Good luck! read more

The team at All About Babies made me feel so loved and welcomed from the first time I stepped foot in the door for a tour! Their personalized care is unmatched. They truly care for each of their patients and get to know their families. They offered so many helpful classes at the center and even have a chiropractor on site once a week. the experience my wife and I had was far from professional. the response all about babies had to my wife's review is unbelievable. using the bible to justify your action is disgusting. we paid $7000 at our first appointment. we started care with all about babies at 4 month pregnant. each visit felt like the first visit. there is no communication between the midwifes. no one seemed to know what was going on. when it came time to deliver all about babies again failed at meeting the smallest of expectations. it was raining and below 40° and all the doors were locked to the building. it is an hour drive for us to all about babies and we called way before we headed up there. my wife was in was instructed to push way before she was ready. the pain for her was overwhelming. after 16hours we went to the hospital. at the hospital we were inform my wife was not dilated enough to be pushing and she could have caused serious harm to her and our child. there was no follow up from all about babies after we left for the hospital. It felt like they had washed their hands of our birth. paying up front was a huge mistake. we felt like they had our money they could get away with whatever they wanted because they already had our money. all about babies is a sorry excuse for a birthing center. the only 2 woman at AAB worth the money are karen and sara. im not one to post like this but after the way the have treated my wife. I do not care if this birthing center. I am a believer and if would never use the word of God to justify my mistakes. I would never put someone through what my wife and I went through. and when my wife expressed herself they called her a liar. read more
