Trigger Warning: Miscarriage…read more I am writing this with a heavy heart, because no one should have to feel as helpless and abandoned as I did during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I sought IVF treatment through CARE Fertility and, at first, everything seemed to go well. I had a successful embryo transfer and remained under their care until 9 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy. During that time, I experienced no complications. Then I was told I had "graduated" from their program and was instructed to follow up with an OB doctor. I scheduled an OB appointment, but like many offices, the earliest available visit was three weeks out. I trusted that this gap would be okay, especially since I had been stable up to that point. But eight days before my OB appointment, everything changed. I suddenly began experiencing severe vaginal bleeding and cramping. Terrified, I went to the ER, where I was evaluated and discharged with instructions to follow up with an OB within two days. I immediately tried to get an earlier appointment, but the OB office could not accommodate me. Feeling scared and desperate, I reached out to Dr. Thomas at CARE Fertility--my IVF doctor--explaining everything in detail. I made it very clear that I already had an OB appointment scheduled, but it was still over a week away, and now I was having complications. I simply asked if they could evaluate me in the meantime. The response I received was devastating. I was told they could not see me because I had "graduated" from their program. I again explained my situation--that I had nowhere else to go right now and was actively experiencing complications--but the answer remained the same: no. I cannot fully describe the feeling of being turned away like that. After everything--after trusting them with something so deeply important--I was left completely on my own when I needed care the most. With no other options, I returned to the ER two days later as my symptoms worsened. Again, I was told to follow up with an OB. I explained that my appointment was still days away and that my fertility doctor refused to see me despite knowing what I was going through. It didn't change anything. One day before I was finally supposed to see the OB, I miscarried. When it happened, I called CARE Fertility to inform them. Even then, I was met with the same response: I needed to see my OB because I had already "graduated" from their program. With nowhere else to turn, I ended up back in the ER for the third time in one week, where the miscarriage was confirmed. This experience broke me. The lack of compassion, the rigid refusal to help, and the feeling that I was no longer their responsibility once I "graduated" left me feeling abandoned and deeply hurt. I am sharing this as a warning to others. If you choose to seek IVF care through this practice, please make sure you have an OB appointment scheduled immediately--ideally for the very next day after you are discharged from their program. Because if something goes wrong before that appointment, you may find yourself, like I did, with no one willing to help you. No patient should ever feel this alone.

I got a call two business days ahead to tell me what my copay was. Great. Today was the appointment. I take a day off from work. I drive through horrendous traffic to get there because it's near downtown and I live in North Fort Worth. I get there and the girl at the front says that the doctor isn't there and "everyone was called." Well, they didn't call me. Except to tell me how much I'd pay upon arrival because I have an HSA and high-deductible plan. Then she asks if I want to see her partner. No. I do not want to see her partner. I scheduled an appointment WITH THIS SPECIFIC DOCTOR. Not her partner. If I wanted to see her partner, I would have scheduled an appointment WITH said partner. She also tried to pawn me off to the PA. If I had wanted to see someone other than the doctor I made an appointment with, I would have MADE AN APPOINTMENT with that person. I told the girl I took a day off for this appointment and that I was NOT happy that I would have to reschedule which won't happen now until mid-November. THEN she asked if I wanted to go to the place in Hulen. Why the hell would I drive even further on the off change the doctor would decide not to be in that day, too? The front desk was unapologetic in their explanation OR offerings of a reschedule. I am FURIOUS. If I had missed my appointment, I would have been charged a no-show fee. I should bill the doctor's office for making me miss a whole day of work AND driving to/from downtown when I live in North Fort Worth. And as it turns out, the rescheduled "appointment" wasn't even scheduled! The front desk people are ridiculous and clearly unorganized. If you're planning to go as a new patient, don't even bother. The front desk doesn't give a crap about you. And, apparently, neither does the doctor since she wasn't even there.

We found listing for Hand in Home Care thru google. We called and Ms. Burrows spoke with us and came out and met with our family asks us what we needed not told us . The caregivers have all been wonderful and dad looks forward to seeing them. i would recommend her company to any one who needs care for a family member. They helped with care for dad stuff around the house even picked up some things we didnt have the time to go get.

I had always planned to have a natural birth with no medical interventions (if possible), so I knew I wanted to work with a Doula. I knew that a Doula would make my experience better, but I had no idea HOW much better it would actually be. From the start Jenna made me feel comfortable, supported, and empowered. There were no"dumb questions" or concerns, even when my hormones had me acting and feeling crazy leading up to the birth. I cannot imagine (and I don't want to imagine) my birth experience without her! OK here comes the long labor and birth story... I started having pre-labor contractions and weird symptoms (I was barely 37 weeks along)- Jenna texted and checked in with me throughout the day and into the night. I woke up when my water broke at midnight, my husband called Jenna and she helped time my contractions until it was time to head to the hospital (which happened very quickly). Jenna must have left get house immediately because as soon as we checked in, she was there with a smile on her face and excited to help! I was happy to find out that the nurses knew her and were actually happy that she was there to assist with my labor and birth! Over the next 22 hours, Jenna encouraged me, supported my husband, helped me get into different positions, heated water bottles for my lower back pain (she brought her own heater for this!), tracked all vitals reported by the nurses (there was even a time that they double-checked my previous blood pressure with her), helped me to the bathroom, fielded questions from the grandparents. There were long periods of time that my husband and I would have been alone, so we were so thankful that Jenna was there. When it came time to push, she and one other nurse held my legs so my husband could hold my hand. When our little baby made his arrival, Jenna was taking pictures and video (I forgot that I asked her for this)- somehow she managed to only capture the beautiful moments, haha! She continued to check in with me the days after delivery and came to our home a couple weeks later. My baby is now two months old and she still checks in on how we are all doing. My main concerns for labor and birth were that I would feel out of control, and scared- with Jenna there I never felt that way. She made sure our birth experience was miraculous and beautiful! I can't wait to call Jenna for our next baby's birth! Oh, and thanks to her, I was able to have a fully natural birth without medical intervention! Thank you, Jenna!!!

Then when active labor hit she knew exactly how to ease my labor pains and help me through all my contractions. She also gave me a great OBGYN recommendation and clearly knows a lot about San Diego's birthing community. It is very clear that Jenna genuinely loves what she does. First, they took almost 2weeks to inform me of a UTI diagnosis and it took that long to have me started on meds as well. Second, when coming in to get my Well Womman exam, i was getting lab work for genetic testing and I had to get stuck twice because the needle slipped out the 1st time causing me to drip some blood down my arm and on the floor. Lastly, when leaving my Well Woman exam I was handed my results from my lan work during my 1st OB visit, but the results weren't explained to me at all. They just handed me the paperwork and had me on my way. Like I said, i absolutely LOVE Dr. F and I wouldn't dream of changing dictors, but i hope that her staff does get better with how they perform their tasks.
