I've been coming here since 2009 and I have not had one complaint. The women and doctors here have been great. I usually see Dr. Tovar and occasionally I see Mary Jane and they both have been great. They take the time to answer any questions I have have and always address my concerns about my health. April is a wondering nurse it's always a pleasure talking with her. She so down to earth and compassionate. I'm always greeted upon entering and the ladies in the front office are always pleasant and engaging. The office is always clean and neatly organized. Parking is never a problem so there is space. If labs are needed you can run upstairs on the second floor to get it done. The atmosphere is always laid back and quiet. Just thankful for my continued care and the great service they provide. I would recommend them to family and friends. read more

My review has nothing to do with Dr. Thomas Fliedner, but all with the front desk staff. Dr. Fliedner was fantastic, thorough and understanding. I originally had a procedure set up with him, but my insurance deemed him out of network. I called about two weeks prior to my surgery date to cancel, due to my insurance not accepting him as in network. I was forwarded to a nurse/assistant line where I left a voicemail with my contact info and requested a callback/cancel. Fast forward a few days and I received a text from the hospital where my procedure was supposed to be. Again, I call ten days prior to the surgery. A woman at the front desk sounded confused when I asked to confirm my surgery for august 11th was cancelled. She requested my name and number and advised she will call if she still sees it scheduled and if I don't hear from her, it was cancelled. No return call, assumed the surgery was cancelled. Fast forward to the day prior, I receive another text from the surgery facility. I text them that I have tried cancelling this TWICE with the doctors office. Now, day of, I received two calls from the facility and two from this office asking where I am/what happened. I am incredibly angry that I had called TWICE TO CANCEL but nobody could manage to relay the message. The negligence of the front desk has wasted the time of the facility, their staff, Dr. Fliedner and myself. I BEST not be charged due to the front office staffs inability to do their job. read more

Why go anywhere else??? Women piss & moan about going to the gynecologist but, North Texas OB-GYN IS AWESOME! DR. Tovar is AMAZING!!! The quality of care is above the best!!! I have been a patient of his, FOR-EV-VER and not once have I ever had a problem. He is one of the best doctors I have ever seen as a patient, male or female. He is kind, gentle, and talks you through every single exam he does. The front desk staff is great with amazing service and this overall business is a place I would recommend to anyone. My review has to do with the terrible experience I had with Dr. Ashely Sbanotto. Dr. Ashely Sbanotto was the most rude and disrespectful OBGYN doctor I have ever received service from. Dr. Sbanotto bragged the entire time about her accomplishments during her time in Med School instead of doing her job which is to communicate with me the patient about my medical concerns and what solutions are available for me. She also made racist comments regarding how minorities make less money than caucasian employees in the medical industry which is not true. I seriously do not recommend Dr. Sbanotto to anyone because she's a horrible person and you deserve better! read more

Amazing office and staff! Dr. Fliedner and Mrs. Cheryl are an amazing duo! I've spent my high risk pregnancy with them and they answered every question and concern I had. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! My doctor is leaving her practice, a different practice, not this one, but she referred me to this place. My daughter is having a situation and I called this place and spoke with Elizabeth, to see what we should do. I asked Elizabeth to talk to Dr. Meinhardt and explain the situation and ask her what we should do. No one there would talk to me because we are not established patients yet. I said, so you cannot even ask the doctor if this situation needs immediate attention and she should find somewhere where she goes to college or can it wait until she comes home at Thanksgiving? Nope! Nothing! We cannot talk to you because you are not a patient here! WOW! I have been seeing Dr. Fliedner since 2010 and although I've been living in Dallas for quite some time, I make the drive out to Lewisville because he is the best! He has always taken the time to thoroughly explain things to me, evaluate my daily habits, and also considers quality of life before just writing out prescriptions, which is really important to me. I never feel rushed when I ask him questions and he has a very kind demeanor which makes appointments easier. His nurse, Miss Cheryl is a sweetheart! I can laugh with her and she genuinely cares about me as a patient and she always asks how my daughter is doing, who is now also a patient of his. It's comforting to know she has quality care. I wouldn't trust another gyno and will continue being a patient until he decides to retire! read more

Dr. Fliedner is so patient and knowledgeable. He takes time to explain all available options. He encourages you to decide what is best for you, by weighing the pros and cons of the different options and what your desired outcome is. He has never come across as biased towards one option over another, nor has he ever tried to pressure me in only one direction. His Nurse Ms. Cheryl is such a sweet welcome. I had an atopic pregnancy that ruptured my fallopian tube that Dr. Sbenotto preformed emergency surgery on at Medical City Lewisville. This office is so money hungry and I'll tell you why. First off when you have emergency surgery you don't get to choose a doctor, so for this office to treat me like I had other option with 500cc of blood pooling inside me is unrealistic and unprofessional. I was even told at the hospital if I have complications to call her office and also to follow up with her here. Sadly if you don't have the money or aren't in network they'll shoo you off like it's nothing. I was having bleeding from my belly button, vaginal bleeding, headaches, my body still heavy, and dizziness from being anemic after that much blood loss. according to her nurse Dr. Sbenotto requested I come in to see her, and then the lady at the front told me the doctor stated she wouldn't see me unless I paid the $180 right then and there for the visit. They also stated that's what my follow up visit would cost. Even though the doctor wants to see me so she can check on the surgery she preformed?! Why have doctors affiliated with the hospital that preform emergency surgeries and then refuse to help their patients unless they pay $180 to follow up with the unexpected surgery? That just sounds like a con to me. I tried calling other OBGYNS in network and they all said the same thing. They don't want the liability of another doctors work especially right after surgery. It is the doctors duty who preformed the surgery to have liability over the patients they gave care too. This was my first baby and I lost it and to have this office refuse me service when I'm having surgery complications with the doctor that preformed my surgery was so unreal I ended up just leaving in tears. Which caused more stressed and my belly button to bleed more throughout the day. I will see her for my follow up but I would not recommend this office to anyone and if you have to have emergency surgery pray there's a doctor from a different office where they'll have more compassion for mothers who just lost a baby. read more

Updated: Dr. Sbanotto is the most phenomenal doctor. I had a high risk pregnancy and she was available to me as often as I needed. Towards the end I had many complications that could have lead to the still birth of my baby. If it weren't for her, that likely would have been the outcome. She is the most knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, brilliant doctor you could ever hope to have. I cannot day enough about her and her entire staff. Simply amazing. -------- She is phenomenal! Dr Bradley is great. But they are SO difficult to get an appointment with that I had to change OBs. Also, their back office is not competent. I went in for a well woman exam and got a bill for $2400. I've called numerous times to discuss it and they never answer and never call back and then sent me to collections. I reached out to my insurance company today and they said that the invoice should have been covered but they are also waiting for the back office to call them back to give them information on the claim. This has been MONTHS of dealing with it with no returned phone calls. Today, I called 5 times and every extension said that the voicemail was not set up and I could not leave a message. Dont expect to get in fast. appointment wait time ive discovered is usually 1-2weeks for Mary Jane the nurse practitioner. who is incredibly straight forward. if u have something going on *down there and she notices. she WILL tell u and ask u all sorts of questions. this can be a bit too direct (not nice) for some but she means well and i like her honesty. to get in with one of the OBs its usually a month wait (not joking) they are very busy with all the pregnancies i guess. the nurses are like most nurses ive met, AWESOME! the office staff has lost some luster over the years. the tenured ones are usually quite nice and helpful but sometimes the newer ones are, eh. if u have a medical issue requiring spontaneous visits or availability u might want to find a place with not soooo many patients. it seems they always take new patients so its hard for a quick spot read more

I found out I was pregnant around 8 weeks and called Dr. Tovar's office to make an appt. I only had 2 visits with them and I left both visits crying because the staff is HORRIBLE besides Kim, who works in the front office and the second assistant I saw, who I did not get her name. Dr. Goldman at North Texas OBGYN is the sweetest doctor ever! She really cares about her patients and makes you feel so comfortable. I am a school teacher, and at my last appointment I was in tears over needing school supplies for my classroom (pregnancy hormones were on fire that day!) Worst possible nursing staff ever! Dr. Goldman is amazing but you have to argue with the nurses to make a. Appointment. They will hang up on you for asking questions they don't know the answer to. It's a shame I'm going to have to find a new doctor ASAP. After explaining my mothers abrupt death from breast cancer and the severe need to be tested as soon as possible I had to debate with the nurse about an appointment out of my normal annual schedule....as if that actually mattered. The Lewisville location feels very out dated and low end when you walk in. There is not enough seating to where my husband and I were standing up in the lobby waiting 40 mins after my appointment was supposed to start. Either appointments are being over booked or they are not considerate of the patients time. It is also impossible to have communication with this office 90% of the time. I called the next day to receive a doctors note from being out of work the day before and they put me on hold for 20 mins and never picked the phone back up!!!! It is ridiculous! The person that does the sonograms there is very nice as well as the nursing staff. Cheryl has been my favorite person there for 8 years and has been the only reason I kept going back all this time. I have to say that after all this time I will be changing gynecologist since the quality has continued to deminish over the years. read more

I was told by the dumbass front office that the doctor had an appointment for 8:45am Tuesday Oct 17 in Lewisville. Gee can you guess what happened... called to confirm and they put the appointment on the wrong date. She asked who set it and i said you did!! I love this place, My doctor is Dr. Rudy Tovar and he is excellent! I would recommend him to any and everyone! He has been my doctor for as long as I can remember. I have never had an unpleasant experience with this office. He delivered my son via C-section with zero complications. Pru is my nurse and she is great, very upbeat and always answers any questions or concerns I may have! I seem to get along with the office staff.. there are no complaints there either.. EVA is the best though :) ...bc well.. she rocks! This office is a very busy so yes expect a wait.. but that's what you get when you want to be seen by the best. read more
