But my tire warning kept shouting at me for low pressure a month after. I took it back, they fixed a hole. But few months later, it happened again. So, I had to find a gas station with air pump every 7 days. It went so low; I lost a couple of hubcaps. I went back to the dealership again, it would cost a new tire because my they declined to fix a 2nd hole. I started to vent on social media. Lo and behold, my coworker referred me to Tire Zone Service. I was so happy to see Gilberto removed a 2-inch screw and plugged the hole in 7 minutes. No kidding. I timed it by taking photos on how he did it. Guess how much it cost me? Yup, just $7. Of course, I tipped him extra for being so efficient. I guess 7 is my lucky number. That means I could save my quarters for car washes, vending machines, tips at the bars and save them for a wishing well.

It was very annoying to hear the owner (Jim) continually trying to pressure me to spend way more…read moremoney than I ever wanted to on my car. All I wanted to do was to get a clutch replacement, but I was constantly being pushed to change the paint color, put in an expensive sound system, and even supercharge it! All of this was constantly pitched to me under the guise that he could get a good deal. I was also annoyingly pitched to buy a 225 dollar battery! That is when I knew without a doubt that they were just trying to take me for a ride. I understand that you have to make money and be a salesman, but don't disrespect me by talking to me like I'm an idiot - raving about all of these great deals on changes/upgrades that I specifically stated that I had absolutely no interest. You're just wasting my time. The most frustrating part of the experience was dropping my car off on a Friday and being told that it would be done by Wednesday of the next week. Well Tuesday rolls around and I am notified that they need another day - not a big deal. I am unable to get a ride to their shop on Thursday so I give them another extra day and tell them that I will be there on Friday around noon to pick up my car. The owner Jim also has the nerve to ask me last minute to bring cash to pay for the repairs. My cousin drives me an hour to the shop through traffic only for me to be told that they still need 2-3 hours on it. I come back around 3 PM and it's STILL not ready! This was just unacceptable. Not only that, but they failed to notice that the brake pads were worn and that I was getting a loud churning noise indicating that the pads were worn out. In addition, my check engine light comes on after only 20 miles of driving it out of their shop (bad catalytic converter). All of this just shows poor quality control. I had specifically requested that the car was given a detailed once-over to fix any issues it had. In response to the delays, the owner simply states that the car was difficult to work on and required more time, despite repeated guarantees that it would be done by a certain day/time. I notified the owner about the continuing issues and he tells me that he will "take care of it" for no charge since they had a new mechanic and he could have missed those issues. I go back again only for them to quote me parts and labor costs for fixing the issues that they should have caught in the first place. I understand that this is not an exact science and things get overlooked, but at least own up to your word instead of just giving me another quote to spend even more money at your shop after telling me that it would be taken care of at your expense. Needless to say, I will never return to this shop. I recommend that everyone else stay away. The head mechanic seems more interested in playing Call of Duty and the owner always seems so exhausted every time I showed up in person (after making big promises and guarantees over the phone) to do any serious QC (quality control) over the work they provide.

Dropped it off at Don's and they aluminum flux-core soldered the tubes using oxy-acetylene torch (welding tip) and applied some epoxy on top for additional protection. Then pressure tested it. Overall, great service and one day turn around. (Don's was recommended to me by a mechanic I know).
