I came to this location on a recommendation. Do not go there at 3 because the owner picks her kid. Learned that the hard way. Anyway had a simple, not lined a line dress with pockets. The hem was a gentle high low. I was getting a few inches taken off since I am short. Got my dress back but made the mistake of not trying it on in the shop because it was hemmed properly but now the pockets hung lower the hemline!! I wish she would have told me or at least fixed the pockets. $10 an inch taken off. Will never come back here again. read more

Lynn has beautiful dresses at a much lower price than well known salons. She does great alterations at an affordable price. Give her a try. Her shop is upstairs in a dark building. It's a little gem of a bridal and alteration shop. read more

Honestly, this isn't my favorite place to get clothes tailored--maybe it's better for more basic things like hemming of jeans or trousers. However, I took a Cult Gaia ($$$) dress here to get hemmed, and the hem ended up being uneven (see photo). She also added lace to the bottom of the sewn in hem (the dress was cut and she added lace to the bottom part that was sewn under, so if I ever wanted to take the hem down there would be a lace trim), which I didn't want or ask for. Bumped this place up to three stars because I did appreciate that she hand sewed the hem to get it as close to the original as possible, which was something a lot of tailor shops I went to beforehand told me they could not do. However, I'm disappointed that I now have to go to another tailor to get the uneven hem fixed. read more

I am extremely disappointed. I took my very simple wedding dress (a shift dress) to Angie at All about Eve Bridal with the expectation that they would take good care of it as they are in the wedding industry. The dress needed a basic hem. On the day of pickup, I called to check on the status of the dress and to see if I might be able to pick up a couple of hours early. She yelled at me and said "this is why I give you a time!" and then hung up on me. That could've been solved by simply saying that the dress is not ready and will not be ready until 4:30pm. When I picked up the dress, the hem was loose and bubbly. I asked why it was like that and she let me know that it just needed to be pressed (they do not press or steam your garments at All About Eve Bridal). I decided it wasn't worth arguing and left with the intention to take it to a dry cleaner the next morning. This morning I took the dress to my regular dry cleaner to see if he could save the day as my wedding is one week away. After he tried to press it, he told me the hem was messed up because of the lining. He said the way she did it was completely wrong and I should take the dress back and get my money back. I left the dress with him to redo the hem and press the dress. I can deal with poor customer service. I can handle getting hung up on. Paying for a lackluster service and being lied to is where I draw the line. If you need alterations, don't waste your time at All About Eve Bridal ... I'd recommend Professional Tailor & Alterations on Veterans Memorial Blvd. UPDATE: Since posting my initial review a few hours ago, I unfortunately received three phone calls + two angry voicemails within 15 minutes. Here are some highlights from the voicemails: 1. The other tailor is just trying to "make more money" and that is why he is fixing the hem. 2. I should not have left a review and she did not yell at me. 3. I never told her that my dress was for my wedding (I did). ** Even if I didn't tell her it was my wedding dress, would that justify a poor job on the hem? 4. I need to go to a hospital because I am crazy (she is yelling at this point...) 5. She ended by calling me "a stupid lady". The entire experience has been unnerving to say the least. The owner of this store is the best and does absolutely stunning alterations. She has practically remade a dress for me and you could not tell it had been touched. She is always willing and agreeable about timelines and has never told me no. On top of all that her rates are extremely reasonable. I had another wedding shop practically laugh at me about a turnaround time I needed for alterations, she did them with no questions. Highly recommend and wouldn't use anyone else! read more
