I have been coming here for 3+ years now and still have not found a place that matches up to their quality and customer service. I have stayed with this salon through a move to Redwood City and then another move to Dublin - basically it's worth traveling for! The customer service is great. This is the first place I have been to that has. No qualms in telling customers they are fully booked (when they are), rather than telling you to grab a seat and have you wait over an hour under the guise of 20 minutes. They also take their time. Often I am here for well over an hour to get my manicure/pedicure done, and it's because they care. They aren't just rushing through following rote motions. They pay attention to the state of your hands and feet and make sure they take care of you. Ever since I have had my baby, I have had an awful issue with my thumb nails always chipping on the side about halfway down the nail. It's a pain in the arse, and it makes cutting/filing/shaping my thumb nail an absolute beast. Whomever here is doing my nails always checks in to see what we should do with that nail before starting to work on it, and I appreciate it, because it's pretty painful. I haven't had a gel mani/pedi before, so I can't comment on that, but my toe nails hold up really well with the work this team does, my fingers only last about a week before chipping, but that's more on my lifestyle than anything else. read more

I'm no expert in Nails- rarely get my nails done..however when I do for special occasions, trips and such, my go-to place is All About Nails. The gals here are super friendly - really professional. My girls love it here too, 12 y.o., 10 y.o., and 8 y.o. They are super patient with my impatient girls - Are they dry? what about now? what's this? I want to change my colors! I mean really, really patient. They cater to my girls' request - whatever color combination they dream of and outrageous designs. Now if only they offer childcare services.........because believe me they are so good with little girls. I called All About Nails on Saturday afternoon to schedule an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was confirmed for an appointment at 4:30 PM. I arrived about 20 minutes early, but Tu (I believe that was her name) started my pedicure 5 minutes later. I was already impressed! Another very friendly woman (sorry for forgetting your name!) began my manicure about halfway into my pedicure. Both women really took their time with the mani and pedi, and I felt like they genuinely cared about me. I've had so many bad experiences at nail salons. All About Nails, however, did not disappoint me. My hands and feet look beautiful and are soft. The cost of both services combined was $43, sans tip. I am so happy that I decided to give this family owned local business a try. I feel that they are now my go to salon for manis and pedis. Thanks ladies! read more

Ladies and well-groomed gents, you know how hard it is the find the right place...so when I finally found Jeannie's little salon amongst the sea of nail places in the Grand Lake area, I was overjoyed. Now All About Nails is my go-to! The Special is mani and pedi for $24, which is more than manageable, even for those of us on a budget. Jeannie has an amazing memory and remembers your name, color preference, what's going on in your life, etc every time! The quality of work is wonderful, and all the ladies there are very receptive to whatever suggestions you may have. They always remember that my mom is super ticklish and has to do her own scrubbing (lest she kick some poor woman's teeth out), and one time my mom asked her to put the cuticle softener into the hot water to warm it up, and now they all do it for us every time! So awesome. Best to make an appointment on a weekend, but they do take walk ins if they have time. All About Nails is cheap, clean and the staff is awesome. Highly recommended! read more

Wow, I was so impressed with the way my nails turned out. I went in for an acrylic fill, I had gotten them done originally at a different place and thought they did kind of a shotty job so I decided to try somewhere new. The girl that did my nails was so precise and really took the time and effort to make them look nice. There was no extra acrylic hanging off the side, I've had that happen at some places and they look so obviously like fake nails. I got a french tip, purple instead of white and she did a great job with that. I only deducted one star cause when she was using the buffer on my pinky it kind of tore up the skin right above my cuticle. I told her it was alright, it was an accident and she said sorry a million times. She was extra careful with the finger the rest of the appointment too. I highly recommend this place, I'm gonna go back when I need a pedicure. read more

I've gotten my eyebrows waxed for years. I've put up with hot wax, rude aestheticians, weird shapes in my brows, uncomfortable chairs, and long hair from my aesthetician dangling into my face. This was my best waxing experience ever. The wax was mildly warm, she shaped my brows perfectly, the bench was so comfortable I could have fallen asleep (but she didn't take that long so I didn't have time), it was inexpensive, my eyebrows were ready for the world immediately (none of that super pink look from too much hot wax). The person who did my brows (I will be back and learn her name) was AMAZING! And it was so inexpensive! Thank you for being awesome! And for being so close to my new house. read more

An hour of peaceful pampering... that's all I ask. That's what I got. Was here in the Bay Area for a mini-vacation and wanted to fix my aboriginal feet from the week spent in flipflops on a cruise. Yelp did not fail me. The ladies at All About Nails were wonderful. We luckily got in and seated in the spa chairs before a stream of customers came in asking for pedicures. Despite the list of people waiting, the pedicurists still did an amazingly thorough job paying particular attention to my rough soles. Seriously I've found my nail salon. Period. The place is nothing fancy or "spa" like, but it's super clean and professional. Bottom line: I've NEVER had my nails done so PERFECTLY until I went here. I read the great reviews and thought, dang why are ppl trippin' about a nail salon? getting your nails done is not a big deal... So I thought. I don't think I've ever encountered anyone who took so much care of my nails. EVER. You know a salon is good when they are pretty much booked the entire day on a random Wednesday! I called first thing in the morning and was lucky enough to be squeezed in for a mani-pedi at 10:30. After working 12 hour days for 45 days straight, my hands and feet really needed this, so I was very grateful! One thing that I really appreciated was the cleanliness and efficiency of the place. While others worked, someone was answering all the calls and sweeping and cleaning the feet tubs after every use. These ladies clearly have a great system and are on top of everything! This is best mani/pedi place on Grand Ave. It's cute, it's clean and the women (esp. Gennie) are really really nice. They remember your name and make casual conversation. Our group of girlfriends go there when we want to be pampered (or are too lazy to do it ourselves). The pedis usually last about 2-3weeks and the manis last about 1 week. The use high quality nail polish (OPI) and have newer massage chairs. I never go anywhere else when I am at home and often times, when I travel and try somewhere different, I get disappointed because I know All of About Nails does a much better job at the most reasonable price. $15 pedi + tip is the definitely worth the money if you're looking to de-stress from a long work week or just getting ready to wear those cute sandals. read more

I really wanted to love this salon. When I first went in, they did a wonderful job on my gel nails and pedicure. The pedicure lasted a long time, as well as the gel nails. The ladies that work there are nice, which is a big plus. I was only disappointed when I went back to get my gel nails removed and to get a regular manicure. When the woman removed the gel from my nails, she took out a file and filed it down then told me to soak my fingers in acetone. I had remembered reading a negative review about the gel nail removal on yelp, but thought that the woman may have known better and that perhaps the process had changed since I had last gotten a gel manicure, so I let her do her thing. She repeated the filing and soaking two times. Only when I removed the polish from the regular manicure did I discover scratches on my nails from the filing, and noticed that my nails were brittle and thin, and breaking. They still are breaking, a week after I removed the polish. Perhaps I should have said something to the woman when I saw her take out the file, but I will not be coming back to this place. read more

The previous Yelp reviews aren't lying - this place is fantastic! I walked in at noon on a Friday expecting other people, like me, to be pampering themselves during an extended lunch break. I was the ONLY person in here until 5 minutes before I left. The women working were very nice and attentive. The location is easy to get to, and I was able to park right in front. The massage chairs are nice - great quality and I love how they spin It allows easier in/out access, which helps prevent any accidental nicks in your polish as you leave). The pedicure I got was excellent. Certain parts of my feet are very ticklish and she was great at paying attention to the more sensitive areas, pressing harder to prevent me from kicking her in the face as a giggled. Like others, I found they had a great polish selection too. And the best part: it was only $15. I have lived in the Bay Area for about 4 years now and have *never* found such a great deal. At that rate, I'll be back in a couple weeks when my toes need another summer-time touch up! Because of poor planning, I have tried a few places in downtown for manis and pedi but I get so disappointed not only by how much it costs (it is downtown SF) but about the quality! Really nice people but my acrylics were messed up within an hour of me leaving. I don't think the stylist allowed for enough time to dry between coatings so literally anything I touch is taking off my polish or leaving dents. 4 out of 10 nails already messed up. I have to remove the paint myself now at home and redo it. Paid $40. I've paid more at other places and never had an issue so maybe it's because of price. I asked for coffin shape and on one hand all the nails are filed wider than the other hand. Some are crooked as I pointed out the the nail tech but she didn't listen to me. Said it was fine. Came here with one of my friends, I don't really live in the area, but dropped by after work. Great place to get your nails done! and the prices are GREAT. and they do a very good clean job. Good selection of colors, and they are very meticulous with your nails. I didn't like that they re-use scrubbers and exfoliators, other places usually UV treat their equipment. Oh, and recommend you make appointment, they look pretty busy. Everyone there was really sweet and even stayed open a little later for me and my friend. Just got a 24$ mani/pedi and I'm very pleased!! The two gals who worked my fingers & toes made my short nails look perfectly shapped & even (my nail beds are all different sizes). The polish on both is perfect and covers my whole nail. The salon could use a little more fresh air...I could have asked them to open the door I'm sure, but didn't For what I got, much cheaper than Nail Spa and The Lounge. After intense searching for a good nail salon in the Oakland area to treat my friends to, All About Nails exceeded my expectations. Call and book an appointment because I did notice the receptionist turned walk-ins away. As a nail technician, I noticed this place was extremely clean and affordable! (The cost for the UV gel nails are practically nothing compared to other places, my goodness!) The workers were diligent and took their time. Everyone was very friendly. The place is a bit small with only four pedicure stations and four manicure stations, but the service and quality is amazing. If they hiked up their price, I'd still stop by here if I was ever in the area. read more

The amount of salons in this area is definitely overwhelming! I love the staff- they are super sweet. My only complaint is that my manicure seemed rushed and was not the best quality. I noticed that the base coat hardly covered my whole nail. The polish I picked seemed to be old- I should have know- but it kept bubbling and I had to ask to have the majority of my of nails retouched. Overall it was a fine experience- can't be the price- $27 mani pedi. It's not a perfect manicure but good enough. I would want to try one of the more expensive salons just to see if the quality is better. read more

Went for a pedicure ($18) with my sister and was pleased. This salon was clean, offered quality polishes (OPI, Essie), and had such great service. The staff was extremely friendly, and they were meticulous in tending to my toes. Not once did I feel as if they were hurrying through to tend to other clients. At no point did they leave me sitting, soaking, waiting for them to be done helping other clients, as I have often experienced in other salons. Just went for the first time today and had an appointment with Jeannie. My nails were pretty good, especially considering the fact that I MESSED THEM UP while the paint was curing in the UV light. Jeannie really takes her time and pays attention to detail. I'm glad because i am tired of going to other salons and getting really thick, chunky acrylics. One thing i will say is that one of the thumbs was filed a little shorter and slanted. One hand also had the nails filed slightly slanted but you can't tell unless I point it out. read more
