What a SCAM!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! This place will offer teeth cleaning Groupon deals and give you the "pep talk" about pricing, but in the end this vet is a joke and they will ROB you! I brought my yorkie here for a routine dental cleaning and when signing the paperwork I authorized up to only $350 worth of dental work. Once they had my little 5lb. yorkie under, they called to check in and tell me she needs 24 teeth pulled and the cost was going to be $2300!!! No way does doggy dental cost that much! I had received several other quotes from other vets and most vets will charge for the time it takes to extract teeth. For instance, I was quoted $539 from my dog's normal vet which included teeth cleaning, x-rays, meds and 1 hour worth of extractions - BUT I took a chance on this place and their $180 Groupon deal & booked the appointment anyway. I am so sorry I did! I feel so guilty for bringing my sweet yorkie here. When I told them I couldn't afford the dental, they offered me a $1000 discount which brought my total to $1300, still UNHEARD of and absurd! Her teeth were already loose and falling out as it is. I said no I couldn't afford it, and I shared the other vet quote. They put me on hold to consult with the Dr. and came back to tell me they could pull 7 teeth for that price, I was in shock and continued to complain about their costs and their judgement. We hung up without pricing being very clear so I called right back within 2-3 minutes and said DO NOT remove any teeth, I'll take her somewhere else to complete the extractions and they said "sorry she's all done and they are getting ready to wake her up." So basically the Dr. pulled 7 teeth and cleaned her all up in 2 minutes time??? And they want to charge an extra $420 for only 7 teeth!? The Dr. was basically already working on my dog before I could even authorize any additional work. This place is bullshit. They are liars and scammers. They just want your money. I was hesitant to leave a review, but I feel it is necessary at this point. My dog wasn't feeling well a few weeks ago, so I took her in to see Dr. Brown and her team. We didn't have an appointment, but we were told to drop her off for the day and they could run tests in between other clients. They ran a few tests and didn't find anything abnormal. I picked her up at 6:00pm when they closed. They brought her out to me, and my dog was visibly ill. Her tongue was purple, she didn't recognize me, and hardly knew where she was. The receptionist told me "she's probably just tired and ready to go home." I took her home, she threw up, collapsed several times, and then I rushed her to the emergency room. Within an hour from picking her up from All About Paws, my dog had to get her heart drained. There's a mass on her heart that is causing internal bleeding. The fluid around her heart could've been found by doing a simple exam and using a stethoscope. I asked for a refund for the exam that I paid for because if the exam was done properly, I could've helped her much sooner. They refused to refund my money. I was told by the cardiologist at a different hospital the next day that my dog would not make it through the weekend, and I should consider euthanasia. I took her home to make her more comfortable, but she was nauseous. All About Paws told me they had anti-nausea medication in stock, so I went to pick it up. When I got there, they told me the price they gave me on the phone was incorrect, and it was actually twice as much. I refused the medication, then a receptionist or tech came out from the back and actually started arguing with me and YELLING AT ME in the lobby. Beyond unprofessional and so unacceptable! She verified my email address, and I asked why. She told me she's sending all of my dogs vet records and she will remove all of us as clients!! AND SHE DID!!!! My other dog has pancreatitis and he's very ill. I called to get an appointment for him today and they told me we are no longer clients so they refused to see him!!! Our pets have been in the care of All About Paws since they have opened. Their care started with Dr. Brown who was always professional, pleasant, informative and considerate of cost when treating both of our dogs (Cane Corso and Chihuahua). I am now writing an updated review in regard to the new care team that has joined the vet practice. This change was hard for us, my husband and I were upset Dr. Brown was leaving our pet family and I started looking for an alternative vet, but after reading reviews of other clinics I decided to put my trust in the new care team; I am so glad we did. At our initial appoitment for vaccines, they proved to me their level of competency, simply by taking our Cane Corso back without me to do his exam and shots. In previous visits with Dr. Brown's staff, we would be in an exam room, waiting each visit as they were always running behind. Now that I think of it I dreaded going because it was a guarantee to be there for 1 1/2 if not longer. In addition, putting Sergeant in a small room never went well with as he would become aggressive and protective. In fact, during our last visit with Dr. Brown advised us anytime we took Sergeant out in public we should muzzle him. Hear that all I thought about was wait.... I take him to dog parks, he attends doggie daycare regularly its wasn't like he was out terrorizing the neighborhood and we aware with his breed he will not be that dog everyone can run up to and hug. Though, like getting advice from others you either take it or you don't and in this case I didn't take Dr. Browns advice to heart, nor did or do I choose to muzzle him for every outing. Cane Corso's can be a challenge to work with (protective), and with the case of the new care team it took one visit in proving they were competent in handling such a special breed. In addition to vaccines he was in for eye surgery yesterday and it was reported back to me they never used his muzzle, he was such a sweet boy and allowed everyone to love on him. Picking him up after surgery ensured me that we made the right choice to give the new team chance. As stated I really liked Dr. Brown, but it was a hit or miss with the front desk staff, at times it felt like you were a bother to call and rushed off of the phone. They now have a professional upbeat technicians at the front desk who are amazing and seem to truly care. Obviously we all want our pets to receive the best care as they can't report back to us, but if the staff can't even show this to the pet owner it makes one wonder what happens behind closed doors. Its always nice to hear cute and well behaved your pet is, as like with your child, you the pet owner believe your animal is the cutest most precious thing on earth and we all want our animals to get gushed over with an awe and ooh they are the customer at that point. The staff has provided just that during our last two visits and are also respectful and customer oriented with the pet owner. So far they win my vote whole heartily. I definitely had a bad experience with this vet. I'm sad I took my dog there in the first place.I had a vet but since then had moved and wanted to find a new vet closer to me. I saw when this location was under construction so I thought it was new and thought I would give it a try. Initially I went there to get my dog back on heartworm medication as he just ran out. So they did the heartworm test and gave me the heartworm preventative but also had to do the new patient exam which they did offer for free. But they basically came out and said they did the exam in the back which I felt was kind of weird since other vets usually walked me through the exam. But they said they checked everything and it looked good. I then started to tell them symptoms my dog has had recently and the said it was his weight which was understandable. So I lowered his food and tried running and walking with him more. Then he got worse in a couple of weeks. So I had planned to take him to my original vet even if it was 30 min away but they were out of town for 2 weeks. So I took him back here to give them a second chance. Then they did a very minimal exam on his legs and gave him some meds to help with pain. I thought it was weird they did not want to do X-rays but figured they were the professionals and just hoped the medication would help. However, my dog continued to get even worse during that week. I had called to follow up with them but was put on hold for 10 minutes and a vet came on for two seconds and just told me that she would get the vet I saw that day. After another 5 minutes of holding the front desk person came back on the line to say the vet thinks I should bring him in for X-rays. That basic answer came after 15 minutes and with a tone that really made me feel like they did not even care and the vet did not want to bother speaking with me. It just makes me feel like all of this could have been addressed with the previous visit instead of continuing to bring him in different appointments. I should have at least been given the options of X-rays initially. I don't know if they get extra money from making different appointments or what but I will not be bringing my dog back here for X-rays or ever again. I made an appointment with Evans east animal hospital for tomorrow and already from the phone call they give me a better vibe when they stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes to really understand what was going on before scheduling the appointment. I guess there is a reason all about paws always has open appointments and they do not have the best customer service when calling either. I will say that the vet ended up calling me back after I had said to the front desk I will not be coming back but at that point I feel like it was a little late and the fact that she was available to call me back but not speak with me earlier didn't exactly make me feel better. Dr. Brown and her team always treat my beloved pets as if they were their own. Not to mention Dr. Brown is one of the sweetest and most patient professionals I have had the pleasure to work with. I take a great deal of comfort in knowing that I don't have to fret over extraneous services/charges, as they are always very honest and direct in their communications about my pet's care and needs. I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned at All about paws vet clinic last week. The process was easy, I checked my dog in and went home. I went back a few hours later and picked him up. The vet who worked on his teeth was very friendly and went through what they did and showed before and after pictures. The Vet did a great job with my dog's teeth. read more

I share similar views to the other 1 star reviews in that this establishment was trying to scam me out of more money by performing unnecessary procedures and I feel guilty for ever taking my 2 cats here to have their teeth cleaned. The initial pre-cleaning visit showed one cat needing 1 tooth pulled. During the actual procedure, each cat ended up having 2 teeth pulled EACH. Wow was that a surprise! They have never had teeth issues in the past and nothing has changed since their last cleaning, including their diet. Each extraction ended up costing $198, which was suspiciously close to the $200 limit I pre-approved (which I do not think was a coincidence). I grew even more concerned when the cashier stated that she takes her dog here and he has had ALL of his teeth pulled before he turned 5 years old. I honestly believe that if I had pre-approved more than $200 they would have had even more teeth extracted. I do not trust their clinical judgement and was unable to get convincing answers when I questioned them. Please save your pet from unnecessary procedures at your expense and take them elsewhere. read more
