Just moved to Denver and was looking for a vet practice to establish care at for my cat and dog. By chance, I ran into one of the CEOs of Sploot in my neighborhood, so I decided to look into the practice. I really liked how they are open 8am-8pm 365 days per year and offer all types of care, including routine and ER medicine. I made an appointment for my cat, since she had a little bit of loose stool, and everything went really smoothly! Our appointment was with Dr. Amy Casali and scheduled for 11:45. I arrived at 11:40 and was immediately brought into the exam room. Jess, Dr. Casali's vet tech, came in right at 11:45 and started the initial exam, asking questions, going over medical history. Dr. Casali came in shortly after and was wonderful to work with. She has excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and thorough! originally chose this clinic because it was one of the few affordable options that fit my budget as a young pet owner. Unfortunately, that affordability disappeared the moment they charged me an $89 no-show fee for what I understood to be a routine follow-up related to my kitten's ringworm treatment. The situation became even more frustrating when the clinic later admitted that their characterization of the appointment was inaccurate. I was initially told the appointment was for vaccines following ringworm treatment, despite the veterinarian having previously instructed me that the medication regimen would continue for six weeks. After I challenged that explanation, the story changed several times--from a vaccine appointment, to a medication recheck, to a weight check discussion. Charging nearly $90 for a missed 15-minute follow-up appointment is disappointing enough. Doing so while providing conflicting explanations about what the appointment was actually for is what ultimately destroyed my confidence in this clinic. The staff was polite throughout the process, but politeness does not make up for poor communication, inconsistent explanations, and a billing policy that feels far more focused on collecting fees than helping pet owners. I have since moved my kitten's care elsewhere and would encourage prospective clients to get every appointment purpose, fee, and cancellation policy clarified in writing before scheduling. read more

I've visited Sploot RiNo with my puppy, Poppi, a few times and they've always been kind and respectful. BUT this past weekend my sweet girl was sick as can be and they were AMAZING. The care, love, and attention they provided to me and my dog were top notch. ALSO, one of the vet techs drew a picture of a Poppi, the soda, on a treat bag for our dog. They ran several tests to determine what was wrong with my dog, and it was definitely a tricky problem to solve. After this past weekend, I will never go to another vet again. The only reason I keep coming back to Sploot is because of Dr Ben and nurse assistant Grace. Other than that the texting customer support isn't great as well as the front desk staff. The main point of coming here is for vet care and they do a good job of that. I get it is a business but they try to offer more than what you need to get more money. They do not have great customer support service at the front desk or text feature. Also if you don't pay for a doctor appointment, and instead do a nurse visit, you are last priority even though you have an appointment time. This is the most heartless vet clinic that I have ever heard of. On my first visit, I waited well over an hour to see the vet. A few days later, my dog hurt himself, and because I'm new to the city, it was dark outside, and I got lost on my way and was a maximum of 15 minutes late, driving with a dog in terrible pain, whimpering in the back seat. They refused to have the vet see my dog, even though they could see he was in terrible pain. I took him to RiNo Vet ER, and they took great care of him. I'm still shocked that a vet would turn away a dog in pain whose owner paid for a visit and got lost on their way to the appointment. I'm a senior - don't you think they would have tried to help my dog? Interesting that they need to abide by a 15-minute late policy, but had no problem keeping me waiting for over an hour just a few days before. read more

While in Denver for the summer with our pups, one of them had a small medical issue. After looking for places with next day appointments and then reading reviews, I decided to give Sploot RiNo a chance. They were VERY friendly, helpful, and most importantly, they were able to exam my pup, determine the issue & give us proper antibiotics. We took our puppy to Sploot Vet Rino. At first, everything was really good. Had no complaints. Dr. Ben is great. Recently, however I have not been happy with their service. They prescribed our puppy medication and when I went to refill, they denied it. They said I had already picked up the refill. I did not. I dislike being told I did something when the fact is, I didn't. I picked up one refill. They said I picked up 2 and that I complained about the cost. They must be confusing me with someone else. I've been going to Sploot for a few years- my first experience was at their location on 38th. I have a senior pup who needed some severe dental work done. They walked me through the whole process and worked with me on payments. Since one opened up in rino (which is closer to me!) I've been coming here. They are super easy to schedule with, and they answer any questions I have. Throughout any check ups whether that's a wellness check up or for something specific they are very transparent in costs and give you the "why" behind any suggestions they are making. I never leave reviews... I have never had a bad experience at this vet clinic in Rino. They are always so thorough, knowledgeable, kind, urgent and reassuring. They are very transparent with pricing and will never recommend services your pup/animal doesn't need. The rooms are homey, clean and so calming with music, furniture, and small touches. I'm so thankful we found this place after moving and trying many vets. Sploot was unable to catch a life threatening obstruction on an xray that the ER vet less than 12 hours later was able to find immediately. Also failed to administer fluids due to our cat being "too feisty", while the other vet reported absolutely no issue with doing so. I got up and noticed my dog had a torn pad on her back foot. No idea how it happened or when, but it was fresh. I was not able to get into our normal vet. This is our second trip to this location. And they again, were AMAZING. I got in that afternoon, and they were able to clean her up and wrap it up. I was given pain meds and antibiotics for my girl. I love that before they do anything, they break down what they are going to do and what the cost is. They upfront pricing is helpful and there is no judgement of something that we may not be able to take care of right then and there. And the follow up??!!! WOW. Text first thing the next day to check on her. They were able to answer some questions that I had and responded quickly. This place is amazing, and the prices are decent. Really nice vet in RiNo Love that they are open on Sundays as parking can be challenging, you can park for free in the bottom section of the garage next door. I took my cat on a Sunday, I went extra early bc I wasn't sure about parking, even though I was early they took me right back to a room and I only waited a few minutes before a very friendly tech came in. The offices are clean and nice, the tech and vet were super friendly. The vet gave me all of my options which included a very cost effective option, he didn't try to bully me into spending hundreds of unnecessary dollars- which has been my experience at every other vet I e ever been to. He followed up post appointment and emailed me further options should I want to explore treatment beyond what we ended up doing. So easy and relaxed. My pup is extremely nervous and takes a long time to warm up to people so it's always hard finding a new vet but the staff at Sploot made it so easy. They went so slow with her and were so sweet the whole time, always taking it at her pace. By the end of the appointment she was gazing up at the doctor like she was her owner! EXTEREM disappointment with the services provided by Sploot Veterinary Care in RiNo. After reading previous negative reviews from Sarka K. and D.M., I unfortunately have to agree with their reviews that Sploot appears to care more about marketing and profiting, than the well-being of their animal patients. I have personally taken my pet to Sploot twice since March 1st 2023, and both experiences were extremely disappointing. During my first visit, I called in for an emergency, and was met by a rude receptionist who eventually hung up on me, after she couldn't provide the information I was requesting. I brought this to the attention of the Office Manager, who reassured me that their staff is not trained to "hang up" on people or, to be rude and that the issue would be addressed. However, it appears that this is a recurring issue at Sploot. During my second visit, I received several text messages stating that Sploot is always available to help and here whenever you need us. However, when I called on April 16th 2023 with a basic question, I was turned away by the receptionist and told that I needed to book another appointment just to get a simple question answered. . It was infuriating to see how little Sploot values their clients' time and how much they prioritize their profits. It is evident that Sploot is not living up to its promise of providing quality veterinary care. If Sploot is serious about serving its animal patients and their owners, it needs to invest in its staff's training, customer service, and overall standard of care. I hope you take this feedback seriously and Sploot makes immediate changes to their practices. Giving two stars because of the vet and especially the vet techs. I had a great experience placing the appt & getting my dog into seeing the vet; but things changed when I tried to find parking. The garage was full. I circled twice & got a phone call from the receptionist, I told her I was in the parking garage trying to find parking and would look on the street. She said, in five minutes we will need to reschedule your appt. I was right there, I didn't really think that needed to be said. I wasn't late, I was trying to find parking. I get inside, she asked my dogs birth date and I didn't know it. I told her it was in the paperwork sent previously; from that point on, it was attitude. She led me to the exam room. Watch when you're walking to the exam rooms, it's very narrow, and have little space between guests that are waiting & walking by. I saw a couple sitting waiting, but didn't see their little dog; the guy had the dog behind his legs. The dog rushed out from behind his legs to get my dog! Nice set up!!! And yes I am being facetious. We get in the room and wait for at least 30 min. Then walks in two very nice vet techs. They ask questions (some which were on the paperwork submitted the day before, as did the vet. ie., she didn't even know about the recent bout with cancer on her toe). Okay, I get it; they don't have time to read all the paperwork sent; why do they ask for it then? I think prior cancer is a pretty big deal. They were kind and gentle with my girl, and after all is said and done, she had a yeast/bacterial infection in both ears that cost me $500. I went to front counter to pay, one girl on her laptop couldn't even give me enough room to put my purse on the counter and pay. She never looked up until I knocked the box of Kleenex over, just terribly rude!! The other girl was okay, but was still caught up on the fact that I didn't know my dogs birthday and I asked her to look it up. I had to ask for a receipt after I was home the following day. I noticed on the receipt paperwork, NO CHIP information found; which was not accurate! That was on her paperwork given prior to her visit as well!! After getting the receipt I asked them to cancel my followup visit. No questions asked, like oh I'm sorry, was there something wrong? Nope. They don't care, they have so many patients you're just a number. I have insurance and they are not on my insurance plan; I chose them anyway. Boy, was I wrong! Thanks for your hospitality front desk employees, for someone that's new to Colorado, you make a person and her dog feel welcomed. I'll take my Daisy somewhere that truly cares. read more

So, walk ins are not welcomed as their web site indicates. I was in town with my dog who needed to be seen. I saw online that their first available appointment was not until that evening (which was too late for me), but the website said walk-ins were welcome, so I decided just to go & wait my turn as a walk in. I took an Uber to get there only to be told the only vet there was in surgery all day. I was so happy to find this place late on a Sunday night. They had appts within the hour, so I didn't have to go spend all night at the ER. The place was very nice; the staff was friendly and they had calming music playing. Which created a nice environment. I ended up needing to put my dog down, and as hard as it was, they made the process much better by all the procedures they had in place.
