This place is a a old style pet shop. I feel like the last time I was in a pet shop like this was easily 10 plus years ago. The walls are full of items and every inch of space is utilized. I came in just a peruse because I was curious so I didn't have anything particular I needed to buy. The person behind the counter was friendly initially, and the woman who is stalking shelves. The back also offered to help me and I told them I was just looking around. I did notice they had a nice selection of rocks for aquariums, I debated buying some lava rock for a butter wart carnivorous plant terrarium. But I didn't need it currently and didn't have time to do the project just took mental note. As far as their lizards go, they had some pretty cool morphs of what I think were bearded dragons. If I had more time, money, and space. I would totally consider getting one. They were a very cool orange coloration. They also had a bunch of fish tanks on the wall with various style fish. Although I didn't take note of anything of interest to me. When I was leaving I said goodbye to the man behind the counter cuz I just wanted to peek in to see if there was anything I would need in the future of his response to me. Was next time bring a lot of money. While I think he was trying to joke around, I thought it was an awkward thing to say to a potential customer and an awkward thing in general to say to someone. Definitely knocked a star off my review because it just made for an awkward experience that didn't need to happen. If you live locally I would definitely check this place out, I'm a way bigger fan of supporting small Mom and Pop stores over big box stores. Just a warning, the owner who I'm assuming was behind the counter slightly awkward but seem nice generally. read more

Brian was so helpful when picking out my new furry friend - a bunny! I was a bit wary at first because she was caged with a guinea pig, but Brian had explained that it was perfectly safe and actually helped with the bunny's personality. He gave me some great advice, although I've had pet bunnies in the past. 3 months later and she's as healthy as can be. Definitely recommend coming here for all your pet needs. read more

Let me just tell you, Bill is extremely knowledgable and can help with ANY of your aquarium questions and needs. We went for two goldfish. Bill was treating us as if we were buying a massive setup. So helpful and respectful. Kids were asking all sort of wild questions and Bill answered every one of them with patience and care. I love this little pet store. This pet store is more then just a pet store! We just bought our snake here and this place reminds me of what a pet store was like growing up .....people who actually are knowledgeable caring and interested in the well being of the animal after it leaves their store! This staff is BEYOND pleasant my kids and myself loik foward to going back and purchased such a healthy friendly corn snake. Id give 10 stars if I could!! read more

Brian helped me select some new food for my 5 month old puppy. His laid back demeanor, relaxed questioning on breed, size and prior dog food helped him guide me to a new brand. He assured me there is nothing better. He took the time to instruct me on how to initiate the new food to make sure it agreed with our quick growing four legged friend. Two weeks later I went back to by the 30 lb. bag. He remembered me and asked how it was going. My dog loves it an I am happy with the easier clean ups. Got our crested gecko here a few days ago. Brian is absolutely amazing. He told us everything we needed to know as new lizard owners and what to expect, he made sure our pet was healthy and happy before taking it home, he made sure we had everything we needed and didn't try to sell us all the nonsense items that the chain pet stores sell to make a buck. He was so honest and friendly and knowledgeable and we greatly appreciated that. Although the store may appear small they have everything and anything you can think of. All of the pets are well cared for and kept in clean environments. The prices are great and it was good to see a place that unlike other stores cared about the pets and the owners. We can not thank them enough for our new addition and can not wait to go back for our weekly crickets! read more

Definitely a retro shop, owner is quite knowledgeable about aquarium care. That said, , purchased a few cory catfish a few months ago, brought disease into my tank, which resulted in having to say goodbye to my 11 yr old cory. Two of the four cories I bought at the time also died within a month, a 3rd one is still questionable. read more

Absolutely amazing! Went here for one shrimp that is hard to find, but left with an entirely new aquarium set-up for my mom, and the most amazing delta-tail Betta. The young gentleman there helped us for over an hour, was patient, and super knowledgeable - WAAAY more than any big chain store I've been to. The shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but the breeds of fish he carried really stunned me, as I've rarely seen them in a store instead of online! If you need driftwood or spiderwood, he had a great selection - it took me ages to track down a nano-piece of spiderwood online, and I wish I'd known about this shop before, because his selection was huge, and his prices were spectacular! I found a panda molly I wanted to go home with for myself, but when I noticed a little fin rot and ick on two of the other fish in the tank, he instantly treated them and refused to see me the molly, since he might've been infected as well. To me, that's responsible and honest salesmanship right there. Really, really was one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had at an aquarium store. I will ABSOLUTELY be going back.
