I was lucky enough to get a tour OFSDS and this place is unlike any dog shelter I've ever seen, It's truly a sanctuary. They only cater to senior pups that we're either turned in, found, or the owner is no longer capable of caring for the dog. Every room here has a purpose; there areas for dogs who are missing limbs, blind or going blind, large outdoor areas for bigger pups, and even an indoor sensory area for dogs who are sensitive to bright lights and loud sounds. In this same sensory section is a water tank with a treadmill inside to help overweight pups get lean. They also have a huge restaurant sized kitchen, where they prepare and create food for dogs with dietary issues. I could go on forever about Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, but you really should just experience it for yourself. They are always looks for dog loving volunteers!

She has not only transformed bad behaviors in my dogs but also taught me how to better communicate and work as a team with my dogs. Dog training is a lot of training the owner as well and Melissa is extremely easy to work with, takes the time to make sure you understand everything she is teaching and uses a variety of methods to train your dog to be the best that they can be! I recommend Melissa to everyone. She even helped out of town family members tremendously over FaceTime training to improve leash/walking skills! We love Melissa and you will too!

Melissa is so down to earth and professional. I am a first time dog owner- kinda insane that I got such a stubborn and smart dog (beagles) but Melissa taught me SO much. For those that know how difficult the puppy stage is- I would have never survived it without her. She was available in between training sessions to help if Eleanor started a new bad habit or started a strange behavior. Anytime I had any questions or concerns- Melissa was always available with advice, links to products that saved my mental health. She is a phenomenal trainer, human being and sooo knowledgeable and experienced! Highly recommend!!!!!!

Within a couple of weeks, it was clear we needed some guidance on how to train him (and honestly, how to train ourselves too). From our very first call with Chris at Music City K-9 Training, we knew he was the right fit. We signed up for the 5-week Better Obedience program, and it was the best decision we could've made. Chris is not only super knowledgeable, but he's also patient and makes everything really easy to understand. He doesn't just train your dog--he teaches you how to handle situations with confidence and patience. By the end of the program, Maverick had made huge strides in his obedience, and my fiancé and I felt way more capable of continuing his training on our own. If you're looking for someone who truly cares and knows how to get results, I can't recommend Chris and Music City K-9 Training enough. He made such a difference for us and for Maverick, and we're so grateful we found him.

I ended up doing some research online and decided to roll with Chris and it has absolutely changed our lives. He is a super caring and knowledgeable dog trainer. I cannot thank him enough for all of the hard work and dedication he gave us during our training. He has completely changed the way we look at owning a dog. Our boy Burrow is a completely different dog after this program. I highly highly recommend going with Chris when thinking about training your pup! He's amazing.
