This is not your large chain pet store. That's evident the minute you walk into the store. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the cages and tanks are always spotlessly clean. The owner is actively involved and almost always there. The animals and fish are clearly well cared for and questions are answered from experience and with expertise, not shrugs and grunts like in some of the large pet stores. We've bought fish, hamsters, snails and all manner of pet food from Franklin Aquarium and the experience has always been good. The prices are competitive, but it's the personal service and friendly "Can I help you find anything?" when you enter the store that sets them apart. read more

This pet shop is so much fun to visit! It is a smaller shop, which is nice - more personal. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I have bought birds (finches and parakeets) and the supplies for this store. Unlike chain pet stores, the staff here are very knowledgeable about what they sell. They also have an amazing selection of fish and everything you need to care for them. My adult son has a large, beautiful, aquarium and gets all of his supplies and fish from Franklin Aquarium. I absolutely love Franklin Aquarium. I have bought many birds from them and will continue to buy from them. They have all your pets needs at an affordable price and you get rewarded when you spend money there to use towards the things you need. I have been doing business with them for years. They are very educated on everything they sale. If you ever have a question even after you get home about something they will call you back if you leave a message. So I've been here a few time it's good for dry goods and food but the aquatics is pathetic the coral is dead and ridden with algae most of the fish have disease my buddy got me a fish from here and I didn't know it was from here once was in the tank had inch within 3 days tried to save if it does and passed it on to some of my other fish and killed another and they won't even give the money back or store credit even tho it was clearly there fault read more

My fiancé and I use to love coming here. We have a ton of pets at home and we've even adopted a couple from here. Our hamster we adopted from here passed in her sleep 4 months after we adopted her. Recently, 2 weeks ago, we adopted a pet rat. She sadly got super sick over night. The pet store sold us a sick rat and didn't tell us. We have 3 other rats and a liter of rat babies right now. So we know how to care for rats. So when we call them to complain they tell us it's all our fault, while we're heart broken. They have lost 2 loyal customers. I come for the fish. I know little about the other areas of the store. Good prices, and much closer to my home than driving all the way to Nashville. Selection is MUCH better than PetSmart in spring hill...well anywhere really. Staff aren't the most knowledgeable about fish, but if you go in knowing what you are looking for they can help you find it. I would definitely recommend to anyone. read more

This place is awesome I used to think I had to drive to Spring Hill to get decent dog good but no longer. They carry all quality dog food they even carry Merrick (which can be hard to find.) They have a great selection of food and toys for every type of critter. They also have all types of small animals here super cute rats, hamsters snakes and more. I've been going here since I was 5 or 6 years old, I think (I grew up here, I swear! So long I can't remember!) Anywho, wonderful friendly staff. Great people. Seriously. I don't agree with some of their practices (selling teeny tiny hamster cages, putting rats on pine bedding, bettas in tiny bowls, etc), but in all technicality they're trying to make a buck I guess. If they would change these types of improper animal care practices, this would be hands down the BEST pet store there ever was. They will help you with anything you need/need to know.
