Let me start with my main issue with this place is marketing. It bills itself as a walk in orthopedic clinic and it's website implies it has actual doctors that work here who do diagnostic work but in reality this place is simply a urgent care for acute traumatic musculoskeletal injury; they do not do diagnosis of anything else nor will they refer you to a orthopedist. They also do the standard questionable urgent care billing practice where they X-Ray everybody for no reason, etc just so they can bill it; basically as far as I can tell it's the Island Urgent Care of broken bones and sports injuries and just as shady. I can't give it less stars as after a five minute conversation with the reception staff I was told to fly a kite which I guess at least is honest and I can give three starts for that (as opposed to simply taking my money and then telling me to fly kite) but equally I can't give them more. Maybe they are great if you break something but that isn't what I was there for and that isn't what their website implies. I went to talk to a orthopedist and was basically told "too bad, we don't have those here and our PA which runs the place is an asshole and won't recommend one either". I took my sister-in-law to All Access Ortho this morning for her broken foot. We tried to get her an appoinment with Dr. Darryl Kan or Dr. Blum, but both were booked all day today. Their receptionist suggested that we take her to All Access Ortho instead since it was a walk-in urgent care clinic; no appointment necessary. All Access Ortho was efficient from the time we walked in (well, hobbled in for my sister-in-law) to the time we left. We got there a little before 10:00 am, filled out the paper work, got called in within minutes of finishing the paper work, got xrays, got examined by two PAs, concurrence from Dr. Blum upstairs, scheduled a follow-up appointment, and we were out the door. I looked at my watch when we left. My watch read 10:54 am. Super duper efficient!! Everyone at All Access Ortho was super nice and professional. The receptionist could smile a little more, but who knows...perhaps she was having a bad moment. It was Monday morning after all. This urgent care clinic accepts those suffering from cuts, broken bones, and sprains and accepts workers compensation cases. Patients are examined by physician assistants (PAs). If a patient needs to be examined by an orthopedic surgeon, the patient can be referred upstairs to Dr. Blum or Dr. Kan. The place is clean and spacious with an xray room and examination room. My sister-in-law felt at ease and was relieved to find out that she didn't need a cast or require surgery; just time to heal. Yay! All Access Ortho is conveniently located in the Hale Pawaa on the ground floor in room 102. It is open seven days a week: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Why go to the ER and spend about four hours to get a cut or sprain examined when you can spend one hour at All Access Ortho? Fantastic! This place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Walked right in to check in, filled out paper work and about 5 minutes later I was seen. The lady at the front was very welcoming and greeted me with a smile. Was seen by Dr. Radi, who mind you took the time to draw me a picture (because I'm a visual person) and show me where my problem was occurring and why. He also greeted me with a hand shake and a smile. Unfortunately the X-ray machine was down, so I wasn't able to take x-rays on the same day. But other than that... great customer service, in and out quickly, and parking was free. read more

Came here on a saturday for a work note because Im still experiencing pain from my post surgery. My specialist understands my situation but I guess the physician working that day felt otherwise (my specialists Office closed on Saturday, No walk ins, left numerous voicemails), I had come to this office as it is on a walk in bases so it was convenient for me. When asked about the dates she had responded "I dont have time for this, I need to see the other patients." As a healthcare professional I thought they would be understanding and didn't judge or give an attitude to a patient. If that was the case I wouldn't have not been seen than be riduculed in an office visit for just a work note. I thought it was very unprofessional of the PA working for her to act the way she did; possibly to other patients that same day. I guess getting a fancy medical degree couldn't teach mannerisms . I had bit my tongue and left the office with what I needed, there was no need for me to stoop down to her pity self. read more

I must of came on a bad day for the receptionist that looked like she hated her job. We entered after a couple and no greet just an irritated receptionist watching Wendy Williams Show. She's so lucky she can face that 40 inch TV all to her.. I hope someone walks into because it's a hazard. She gave off the impression I interrupted her trying to check in. I'm all ready wishing I never came here... the attitude or her facial expressions just came off wrong and All she said was ID and Insurance card. While looking at her messages on her phone. Still no smile no eye contact and im standing in front of her no hello how can I help you , do you have an appointment? Now it's the X-ray tech... what's the problem with the no one smiles anymore they all hate there jobs???....I really wish I went to Shriners hospital . Wow the PA was nice ... This worked out really well. I took my great Aunt here for X-Rays and ended up staying for treatment. BBC America was on in the stylish waiting room with comfortable chairs that made me not want to leave to go back to work. It was a great one stop shop for our ortho needs. They had the X-Ray and diagnosis right away and got a cast molded and on within a half hour. They took great care of Aunty and were fun and friendly. read more

First of all, the one star is for the front desk staff and the technician that helped me initially. Appt was at 11:30, waited for 30min to get called, which is fine for me cause im a new patient. After the technician took the xray, I was told to wait in another room for the PT. Another 30 min, at that point it was still okay to me, maybe interpreting the xray and stuff. Finally get to talk to a PT about my condition, which only took breifly 5 min or so. Did not mention anything about my xray. He prescribed me some med and told me to wait in the room for a bit. Another 30 min of waiting in the room. So i walked out and asked how much longer do I have to wait. The technician was outside and said he'll check for me. Later came to find out I was waiting for nothing. The PT apologized and said he was checking for the registry or something and he said I can go now. I asked him if I need to take anything with me and he said no. I asked him what was I waiting for then, he seems like he doesn't know what's going on. For my condition the PT said lets wait two weeks and come back for a follow-up. I went out to the front desk, he seemed like he didnt know I have to come back two weeks later. So no communication between the PT and the front desk? I didn't mention about my follow up cause I won't be back. What a waste of my time. Should've just went to my PCP and get referral instead. Was a really bad experience afterall. With all of that, the technician was the most helpful one. read more

I went in as a new patient for a twisted/sprained knee and I had a great experience. I usually don't do reviews often but I felt All Access Ortho deserved one. After I finished the new patient paper work I was immediately called in and they took X-rays. After the X-ray I was placed in a room to wait for the Dr. (I wish I remembered her name!) and in a minute she came through the door and assessed my knee. She was very thorough and definitely knew what she was doing. She gave me a better brace and explained how to take care of it and I was out the door. The entire staff was so friendly, I had nothing bad to say and I would highly recommend this place. read more

I went there because I stepped on a sea urchin. Personal was very nice and friendly, and the service was great. The doctor explained everything very carefully and was very helpful. When we explained we were flying back to mainland U.S. that afternoon he gave me painkillers and a note for the airline asking for special attendance as I couldn't walk very well. They also took x-rays of my foot to make sure the spines had not reached the bone. Also, there is a Longs Drugs/CVS in the same building so it comes very handy. And finally, the building were this doctor is has a big nice parking and the fist hour is free if you are at the doctor, second hour is $2. read more

So disappointed in my last visit here is all I can say! I asked for a letter stating X-ray that resulted in a no fracture no broken bones. Was given a letter that says right lateral sprain. Was told by person requesting note that they need to know there was no broken bones. Went back to try and get that put in with no luck. Was told when you see right lateral sprain you know there is no broken bones. Back and forth and back and forth. I understand that there is a medical wording confusion here but when I found out that all access MA told Dr. Kans office I asked for a clearance on a sprain when Kans office was trying to figure out what the problem was on getting a note I lost my rockets! Always long waiting time, but today it's been too much, over 3 hours is just unacceptable. They told me 1:45 minutes when I arrived.

What a great idea, a one stop, orthopedic sports medicine center. I was referred to All Access Ortho for follow-up after being seen in Queens Emergency Room for an infection on my finger. It had to be lanced and after cutting it open the ER Doc said if it was her finger she would go see Dr Blum, the hand specialist. I was alarmed at first, wishing she had mentioned that before cutting! But the pain was relieved and it turned out she did a fine job. When I went for follow up, they saw me right away, took X-rays (which Queens did not do) and only charged me an office visit co-pay ($20) instead of an ER visit at Queens which for me was ($75). I had a reaction to the antibiotics they gave me at Queens and they were able to see me again, treat me and prescribe something else for me quickly. If anything like that ever happens again, I will skip the long wait and chaos of the ER and head straight over to All Access Ortho. If it is determined you need surgery or something they can schedule you in their outpatient surgery center upstairs at Minimal Invasive Surgery of Hawaii. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but concerns for others' healthcare made me decide to write one. The facility is certainly very clean, and the staff is quite nice and I had good conversations with them. Wait times were reasonable for me and paperwork was quick, but I don't have any medical complications either that warrant a lot of extra writing (i.e. checkboxes are all no). I went in there needing stitches. I'm always hesitant to go to urgent care for stitches since no one I know has had good experiences. One friend ended up with a zigzag scar on his forehead even though the cut was originally straight. Oddly enough I had a similar cut in almost the same place, but I went to the ER and mine looks great. I saw the physician's assistant there. My stitches ended up being too loose to allow the laceration to heal properly, which I didn't realize at the time until a friend of a friend ( an ER doc) looked at it. He also said the stitches were too far apart and there weren't enough of them. As a result, it's not healing very well. Thankfully it's just my leg so I don't care if there's a scar or not, but if you're concerned about scars, be wary of getting stitches from the PA. Also, i asked the PA if it needed stitches since it looked borderline (depth, size of laceration), he agreed it was borderline and could go either way. I asked him FOUR more times if I really needed stitches if I could get by without them since I was cash pay. He didn't say a word about it even when I asked if I should save my money since it was borderline. They'll probably just take your money if they have the option. The last part that bothered me was they provided no education regarding care for the wound. There's a big open scrape along with the four (should have been six) stitches. Nothing about how often to change the dressing, what kind of dressing, if I should use antibiotic cream. Just that I should wash with warm water and soap and cover it. Oh, it also got mildly infected. Not entirely their fault since it happens, but they could've done more to help. read more

I have taken myself and every member of my family here since they opened. I always loved it and referred tons of my patients to them. Last week my husband strained his back and we couldn't get in to our PCP because it was the weekend. We saw Brittni the PA and our experience was terrible. First off she assessed my husband by barely touching (the wrong part of his back) then treated him like a drug seeker when he asked for something for pain. I am a Nurse Practitioner and my husband is an RN and honestly I have never been treated so rudely. The entire time she treated us like we are a HUGE inconvenience. I will give them another try but will definitely call ahead to see if she is working. Judging from some of the other reviews I know I am not alone in this read more

We were advised to come here because we couldn't get an appointment within a sensible time at the orthopedic office so we ended up here. They were able to see us quickly, no long wait at all and the Dr. Blum and his staff are very professional and friendly. They are open till 8pm on the weekdays and accept most insurances!! I would of given 5 stars because in all these years I finally got help for my back problems at the Mililani location. I just don't understand I had called regarding a medication that was perscribed to me that did not work and they could not change my perscription or mg? when I stated what other types of medications I currently take. The answer I got was I had to go to my regular doctor and they had to take care of me. When clearly I was perscribed the medication by the doctor that was working that evening. I am just having a hard time becuase the reason why I decided to go to All Access Ortho is because my doctors office was booked untill Monday and I was in so much pain. So I guess if they perscribe you medications and for some reason they dont work you will have to go back to your regular doctor and have them take care of you. Thats if you are already taking medications. Other than that I had great service from the receptionist, xray tech and the doctor that saw me all of them were very friendly and helpfull. read more

Very fast after filling out forms, downloading & filling out in advance a good idea. New clean facility, professional staff mostly Med Asst & Physicians Asst, but knowledgable. Doctor consult with 7th floor Dr. Blum who is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Best part is no hassles about accepting Work Comp. Also so much faster than ER, where if they're busy and your injury isn't serious you could be waiting all day. Their waiting room is also way more comfortable for your family than most ER's I've been to. read more

don't ever go there.....why? because they make you see an assistant. not a doctor but a physicians assistant which is a scam. they charge you for a doctors visit but make you see a wannabe doctor who thinks he's a doctor. I forget the guys name but he's arrogant and someone should set him straight that he should stop playing doctor when he doesn't have the experience nor credentials. Visited on Dec. 26. Dr. Patric is a bit in experienced and initially advised me something incorrectly. He is nice tho. Then Dr. Brown (not sure if this is the right spelling but he's the owner) was awesome. Treated my "damage" properly. I later got a 2nd opinion and was told Dr. Brown did a great job. If I have to see a Ortho again, I'd choose Dr. Brown. If there's something they could improve (why did't give 5 star): the Xray lady could be more caring to patient request. Run Made my daughters injury worse missed broken bones even a ligament pulled a piece of bone off the front of ankle when it snapped off and fractures of bone in back also. greatly increased recovery time and additional expense for X-rays and MRI and cast wheel chair and crutches and over a month of physical therapy requested they keep any $ received from insurance but please not to charge her additional $ due to the fact they put a ankle boot only on a broken ankle. ( only good for broken toes) injury was made worse pain greatly increased due to their mis diagnosis and delayed proper treatment proper treatment was not delivered at this place. Went to a real dr. An orthopedic surgeon did the exam not a PA. and X-rays and MRI done at a hospital with a radiologist reading them . Not a PA insisted she pay bill in full no discount. Only PA on site no dr. This All Access Ortho was a referral by my sister-in-law and I have to say it was the best experience I have ever had at a Dr. Office/Emergency Room. Service was fast and very professional. No waiting time for X-Rays or test and the Dr. was in our room in under 10 min. I think it was a total of a 30 min visit with Checking in, X-Rays and Dr. Visit. Also, the staff was very professional and focused on the patient and the people in the waiting room without any extra gossiping or talking that was not related to patients or business at hand. One of my more pleasant medical experiences. The people are terrific, fast, and professional. Much better than waiting in (and waisting the resources of the ER) and much faster than scheduling a GP appointment. Richard W. Visiting Hi, I was having a problem with my Achilles tendon, and was afraid that I had ruptured it. After visiting a general urgent care facility, and having an ultrasound at Castle Hospital, I was advised to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. I went to ALL ACCESS ORTHO and found them to be very helpful, diagnosing only Achilles Tendonitis, and suggesting proper care. Very pleased with the experience. I don't know if I was examined by an MD or a PA, etc. They just introduced themselves by their first name. That is a practice that should be changed, as it is not professional. That is the only reason for the four rating, all else was a five. After writing the above, I found out that all examinations are done by PAs and not by MDs. I don't have a problem with that, as long as the PAs they have had appropriate the proper qualifications, but the web site and other literature gives the impression that the patients are being examined by Orthopedic Surgeons. Very misleading. I am changing my rating from a 4 star to a 3 star. I now understand why only first names are used during introductions. I was fortunate to see Dr. Darryl Kan who in my opinion is the best in the industry. No appointment necessary and was seen fast. Dr. Kan was able to diagnose my problem and will now be performing a procedure to repair it. What a great concept in urgent care and I am thankful that my pain and discomfort will be treated in a number of days. AT ALL COSTS - DO NOT GO TO THE "EMERGENCY" ORTHO GROUP IN THIS BUILDING. They will tell you insurance will cover everything and now i have a bill for almost $500 for items i did NOT need. I had a ligament tear, which i knew it was - they insisted on taking x-rays, which DOES NOT DO ANYTHING FOR LIGAMENTS. I told them that i didn't need that, i needed an MRI and they said i couldn't be treated unless i took it. They now are charging me more than $150 for that service. The "doctor" - mind you these are not REAL doctors, they are ortho assistants - then made me get a leg brace from the company on the 6th floor and had me do 8 sessions of Physical Therapy. ALL which my insurance supposedly paid for. I now have a bill for more than $250 for the knee brace they told me to get WHICH I DIDN'T USE AT ALL since my Physical therapist told me i didn't need it and it actually would actually hinder my healing. All in all they are a complete money pit and just try to get money from you and send you all over their building for their "sister" companies and get you to spend money there. I will never go there again as they are just trying to get money and will send you all over their building to get as much as they can! read more

This place is superb! No appointment necessary, short waiting-time, great patient care and a very pleasant staff. :) The first time I went was in February; I needed urgent care for my neck and shoulder problem before my scheduled trip the following week. Although it wasn't my physician's primary recommendation, due to a lack of availability she recommended me to Access Ortho. I still had to postpone my flight but my experience surpassed my expectations for a walk-in office. I went to Access Ortho a second time this month for a different issue; I had an excruciating pain in my foot all night. I called my physician's office and another orthopedic office started from 8am but all I could get was the answering machines. I remembered my experience at Access Ortho and rushed over. Yes! Without much waiting, they took an x-ray and voila! Dr. Peralto found the cause of my pain and treated right away! Although I do not hope to have any issues in the future, if I do, I will definitely go to Access Ortho as my first choice. read more

For my first visit, I rated them 5 stars. But my follow up was a nightmare. The reason I'm following up so late is I just came across a bill from them on my desk. anyways... My appointment was for 415 pm. I forget what day of the week it was. I didn't get seen till 6-630!! People kept coming in and they kept getting taken before me!! Even a construction painter guy who didn't have an ID... cmon, what responsible adult doest have an ID. They said,when they finally seen me, that they had more urgent issues than my follow up. Which is fine and would've gladly rescheduled instead of waiting. They tried to break the wait time in the waiting room by placing me in an exam room, where I waited and waited and even fell asleep! When the dr. Came on, it took more than 15 mins.... max. I like that they are walk in and available, however that incident was super unprofessional in my opinion. I did do my best to contain my frustration, and didn't dump on anyone. It just makes me think, what's the point of a scheduled appointment time, if they don't adhere to it?? read more

Urgent care orthopedics--what a concept. I'm a fan. Nice, new, modern design building and office. No appointment necessary. Could not get a quick appointment with regular orthopedic physician to take a look at my son's knee and arm injury. Earliest opening they had was several days away. With All Access Ortho, no problem. Just walk in and they can see you right away. Physician (Dawn?) was friendly, thorough, professional, and compassionate/sympathetic. They have labs, drug store (Longs), MRI place, and coffee/snack shop right outside their office. They also have a physical therapy place that they use located in the same building on the upper floor. Only negative are all the forms you have to fill out, that validated parking is $2, and that they can get a little crowded sometimes. read more
