They did not look at it or inspect it until June 1st. Initial estimate was $3800 but was told it might be higher if they found damaged parts. They found damaged parts and quoted me $5140 (need rear main seal and an exhaust gasket. Both quoted at $200 total) - I said "Thats half of what I paid for the truck!" Ed said, "but you cant sell it the way it is and new trucks are very expensive right now" (During the post stimulus inflation time frame) - It was explained to me that the planetary gear(s) had cracked and were destroyed. I needed new steel hard parts. I asked for pictures since the repair was so expensive and this was my first time at this shop. Ed said - "We dont do that here, but I can make sure you get your old parts to inspect" - I said I didn't like it since the amount was so high but the truck was there and apart, so lets just move forward and make sure I get my parts separate. I have been to a transmission shop in the past that gave me a box of parts that were full of several parts that never fit my broken transmission. Make sure I get MY parts Ed. Not someone else's" Ed said - "I will make sure to do that". I was called on June 14th and informed the truck was done. I showed up to pick it up on Thursday June 17th. Almost a month after it was towed to their shop. (Time was not my problem with these guys. There was a 3 day weekend involved and there shop had a water leak. Both of which Ed informed me of) When I walked in, I was given the warranty card and invoice which I will supply to anyone that would like to investigate this further. I was told to sign the warranty card, which I did, and was shown the invoice. As I was reviewing the invoice, Ed grabbed my credit card off the counter. I asked a few questions and he kept saying, "we will go through all of that in a minute" - as he was running my card. The invoice had no serial numbers for parts, nothing to show except line items anyone could have typed up. It did not even have the supplier names or sku's for me to research further. I literally have no proof of these parts being in my truck right now. As soon as Ed was done with my card, I asked to see my parts and was escorted into their shop where they pointed to several totes full of about 5-7 other transmissions parts. I was told the builder didn't keep mine separate. I very quickly told them that what they did was shady and unprofessional. Ed apologized several times. I never threatened or used foul language during any of this exchange. He said he stands on his "43 years of transmission building" - I told him he was shady and unprofessional and my whole experience is bad. I have no way of knowing what they actually did on my truck and how they handled myself and my vehicle was horrible. I am currently on the phone with my bank to cancel my payment until I receive purchase orders and any type of proof from them of any type of service done. _Update 6/17/2021-- Just called to ask Ed for any purchase orders for any parts they installed on my truck and he said he didn't have any and was busy with another customer and hung up. _Update 6/18/2021 -- Ed said he would call me today with a box full of parts from my transmission. Business closed without a call out to me. Big surprise huh? __________________________________________________________ DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS

They have always done a good job at reasonable prices. The slightly raised their prices over their standard prices for a large tire change after I had already dropped off my rig. The mechanic also did diagnostic and found no codes. They did compression test and found 2 broken plugs, replaced plugs and truck ran better. When I picked it up they Charged me $345.00. I got less than a mile away and check engine light came on. I called them and they said to bring it back so I did. It then showed EGR code which Is the exhaust gas recirculating valve. It is controlled by vacuum lines and an electrical signal. They told me that it was a coincidence and the only thing they could do was to replace exhaust manifolds and associated parts for $2400. I was very unhappy and wanted them to show me what they had done. Roger came out smelling of alcohol and belligerent. He told me that I would have to go get $345 more in cash before he would release my truck, because I messed with him and he was going to mess with me. I called the troopers and asked them to meet me there, because I was worried it would get ugly with him. He then said they would refund the money to my card. Long story to say that I wouldn't recommend this place.
