In and out quickly, they up-sold me on diff lube, but it needed it. Overall good experience. Fair price

I brought my truck in for a tire changeover, only after to discover the two technicians damaged two tire sensors, then tried covering it up by shoving the sensors back in the tires and sealing. A simple "we made an error" would've been the right thing to do. Instead, they sent a customer out on the road. These technicians have no integrity, no work ethic, and certainly to conscious to do the right thing. Management at the time, took no responsibility. read more

I had an appointment for tire changeover this morning. I went to the Swanson Ave location. Driving along N. Tommy Moe Dr. an employee got out of his car from the parking lot and ran out into the street right in front of me so I had to hit my brakes pretty hard to avoid hitting him. He darted into the employee entrance door in the back of the building. This guy literally played frogger running into traffic. I went to the tire shop. There was a sign on the front door that said the tire changeover is to be checked in at the front desk of the other building. So I went to the other building. The skinny white woman at the counter mumbled when she spoke so I couldn't tell what she was saying. She also barely moves her lips when she speaks like a ventriloquist. She was very grouchy and rude. I was able to decipher that she was telling me that my appointment was at the other building and pointed to the building next door. So I walked over to the building next-door, which was the building I had initially went to with the sign telling me to go to another building. The ill tempered Burnett lady inside told me that I need to go back to the first building and pointed me towards the other building. I told her they had just sent me over here. She turned around and walked away. So I begin walking again across the parking lot towards the other building and this time a third employee with bad posture was walking out the door and met me in the parking lot. He told me that there was another location near Carrs where my appointment was. (He was also rude And grouchy as well, but at least he told me what I needed to know. This information would've been helpful at the very beginning). read more

The customer service at the business is amazing. Sabrina at the front desk is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Finding a good auto mechanic is difficult. Fortunately in the Valley we have some good ones. I noticed some fluid residue above rear output shaft near the transfer case and thought maybe a seal was bad. Scheduled the appt and took it in. They inspected it and determined that the seal wasn't the issue and it was just some seepage from the slip yoke. No charge. Very professional place. read more

I recently dropped my vehicle off to have the front brakes replaced, I had the pads. They quoted $200 labor, later they called and said that I needed All new rotors, calipers, and pads, quoted me $1300.00. They said the calipers were seized and unusable. Seemed high to me so I called another reputable shop and told them I needed rotors, calipers, and brakes. They quoted me $650-$700, big difference right... well I took it to them and when they did the repair, they informed me my calipers were not seized, and they only charged me $350 for the whole job. It's a shame that you can't trust someone to just be fair and honest. read more

Amaaaazing! These guys are top notch. They have an entire crew performing an oil change while simultaneously checking fluids, lights, and tires. They also offer to vacuum your front floors and wash your front three windows and no additional charge. They have a great attitude - I was able to tell that it is a positive environment and employees work well together. I live in South Anchorage and can say I will drive the distance from here on out to use their service. Customer service was beyond anything I have experienced from quick lube shop. Each and every person was so pleasant, offered to vacuum my vehicle, wash my windows, made sure every light worked. Worth the drive! Had my oil changed here a month ago, car immediately started leaking oil. Brought it back in, older man at the front desk was rude when I mentioned it. He acted like I was wasting his time, also rude to his fellow employees, telling them "don't ask, just f*cking do it". Service was quick even though they were busy. The other guy at the front desk (black beard) was polite, explained they've been having issues with the O ring and replaced it for me. However, he used my key to scratch his beard. A little unsanitary. Will not be returning here, sadly. read more

I used to like this place and would bring my car here for oil service. They were quick and friendly. That all changed last fall. My wife purchased new studded tires for her Jeep. We brought her car to get them switched. It was snowing and it didn't dunned to us until a few weeks later that they gave her older used studded tires instead of her new ones. It was too late for us to go and complain, but this might help others when deciding on whether or not to do business with them. read more

"Yay, I'm a Fan!" - 4/5 stars Wasilla Lube Express (WLE) has been my preferred maintenance shop for two years now. The front desk staff are always personable and welcoming when you walk in....often times not under the best circumstances. The mechanics seem knowledgeable and skilled in their trade - another reason I prefer WLE over the competition. In fact, I took a truck in one day for a catalytic converter issue and the mechanic talked with me on the phone for about 15 minutes explaining some of his observations of the truck, along with an accurate repair quote for the catalytic converter. You rarely, if ever, get that quality, personable service at a dealership. The only downside of using WLE for unplanned maintenance visits is that they are typically scheduled out three to four business days. Still, they will do what they can to fit you in. read more

They are excellent at diagnosing problems, and have frequently offered the most cost effective way to go, and not the most profitable way for them. Jeneffer at the counter is always patient with me. Went in for an oil change in December 2020 . Because of Covid , had to stay in vehicle . Understand totally . What I don't understand , is why they replaced my original Toyota oil filter housing with a made in China one . Different tool needed and torque specs are different . They charge an arm and leg for the service and then do something like that . Not cool !! read more

So I spent ALL day yesterday calling around the valley and Anchorage for coolant flush quotes. Wasilla Lube Express had the best price of $100 for Dex-Cool. (Others were $150-$175) Said they could get it in the same day. Husband took my car in this morning, said he only waited about 20 minutes before getting serviced. Spent about an hour here. That's pretty amazing when it's tire change over season. No complaints, got what we paid for. Husband said Tom was nice. read more

I called and asked specifically about my 30k mile check on my truck and oil change, they said I didn't need an appointment and to make sure I gave them 1 and a half hours. I asked if their waiting room was open and they said that I could wait in my truck while it was being worked on. When I showed up the guy came out and said that I would have to go to their other building and schedule an appointment in order to be seen. Major inconvenience and misinformation. They were not greasing the Idler Arms on my 1997 Astro Chevrolet Van that are very easy to get to grease. I went to C & C Auto with what I thought was wheel bearing problem and BOTH of the Idler Arms Had not been greased (I did go only to Wasilla Lube all of the time) and they were so BAD that it was close to allowing my Van to have NO STEERING when they came undone. I had them fixed at C&C Auto (a premier place on KGB) and then I took them to the Lube Place and a person called John verified that that they had not been greased, and then he went out in the shop and came back and told me the grease certs were BOTH Plugged. That turned out to be LIE. I went back to C&C Auto and he gave me a grease gun -and witnessed that BOTH took Grease easily. I contacted TOM, the alleged owner and he stated John was not a LIAR, but that was confirmed, but TOM did cut a check for $516.34 to pay for the replacement. TOM would not admit to any problem other than talking to the the employees. I really liked that place BUT they can NOT be trusted to grease ALL of the places because if one of the Idler Arms would come loose as both of them were ready to do I would have WRECKED my VAN and who knows what would have happened. SAD. - Untrained employees it seems, so I have gone elsewhere. I went back to them on July 1, 2020 as I had purchased the extended Oil for 4,000 miles and I was a quart low at 3,000. I told that they would not honor their obligation and I was was BARRED from any service there in the future and to please get off of their property. So I left of course, but BEWARE as JOHN runs the MECHANIC side evidently and HE LIED to me on a very SERIOUS issue - my steering. BEWARE if you have a Chevrolet ASTRO VAN as they DO not GREASE the IDLER ARMS. If JOHN will LIE on this serious of a PROBLEM, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your own SAFETY. read more

I never thought to YELP an oil change place! But I see someone else did and it made me remember, "heck ya! I just got my oil changed at a great place two days ago." So I will give them a shout-out. Everything was checked and I got 6.5 quarts of oil for $58. They even noted that the last person to change my oil (the dealer I got my car from 3 weeks ago?) left the oil plug so loose it was ready to fall off. Very nice folks that work here - older man, younger man and younger woman - all super friendly, fast and efficient. I did go during a snowstorm however and I was the only one there..that's one way to get really good service. LOL! read more

Love the staff at the Lube Express. We've been going there for years and have always had great service. I stopped by just after 4 on a Saturday (they close at 5) and was cheerfully greeted and informed my car would be done in about 10 minutes (they were surprisingly not too busy). I don't think I waited a whole 10 minutes and when I was paying was given a mail in rebate form for oil, along with an extra receipt (so I didn't have to make my own copy) AND a pre-addressed envelope for the rebate! They got me in and out quickly, the cost was reasonable, the staff courteous. My newly balanced tires ride much better than before. I had one local garage change my winter tires over. The car felt as though it was running on a flat. Two weeks later I did have a flat on the Glenn, and had to get a new tire mounted. The tires felt wobbly. I thought it must be the new one. Turned out the other axle had very unbalanced tires. Whew! read more

My husband and I moved to the valley in 2001 and started going to Mr. Lube and we were loyal customers there for 15 yrs. but it just got to be such a hassle to try and get our vehicle in there (though Andy always did an outstanding job) we started feeling like a number and not a customer. My husband found express lube and they were easy to get into and out of with the best customer service. They do cost a little bit more, but the quality is so much better. At mr. lube it's seems more about quantity. We recently took our 2017 Ford Escape in for a routine oil change, while they were checking out ALL the fluids they noticed that our differential fluid was low, so they checked it out further and come to find out we had a leak in our differential, my husband and I both at the same time said (I wonder if mr. lube would of noticed that) I don't think they would have because you are a number over there nowadays and they need you in and out fast. They informed us that our vehicle was still under warranty and that we should take it over to the ford dealer right away. We did and now our vehicle is fixed. I'm so extremely grateful to Wasilla Lube Express. They take the extra time to make sure your vehicle is right. Worst place ever went in for a water pump. Got a call saying they broke a bolt and now the car is in movable so we say you broke it fix it. They refused to fix it then charged us 585 more dollars to repair that problem and it took 4 days. Every day we called the story's changed about the car no one is on the same page there . But come on they did not call us to tell us they were haveing a problem removing the bolt then they broke it then called and told us don't you think if they do something without permission then break it, it would be there falt to fix it so we get the car bake now the window won't roll down when takeing wide turns there is a noise I can't explane and the driver sid door needs to be slammed to close so please don't go there. Ohh and we were on public assistance to get the car fixed so my guess they just wanted to change the state more money because they knew they would pay. read more
