$50 for a minor tire repair--and they didn't inflate to proper amount AND failed to put the valve cap back onto the tire.

Aside from…read morecoordinating family carpooling into Anchorage Continental Subaru, we decided to try the valley since we live here. Wasilla's garages were overpriced with one garage billing $1,500 for a simple block heater install. Meanwhile Palmer's garages were similarly overpriced average $550 up to $750. It seemed to good to be true when we phoned Edmund's Import Auto. They quoted to us THREE TIMES $350 down to $338 over the phone. Finally my wife signed off with her e-signature at their front counter's computer for $338. He stated they would have it done next day at $338, so we committed to them. Bold faced liars! Next business day Edmund's Tracy said "Sorry, there was a mix-up, actually the cord doesn't fit the exhaust so we had to fast-lap another block heater!" "New price is now closer to $500!" My immediate thought to myself: "WTF!!" I told Tracy both she and her coworker stated $338. No if's, no and's, nor but's. Told Tracy my wife signed off for $338. Tracy denied this to me over the phone. Tracy literally LIED to us! Disgraceful. At that point it had deteriorated to a "He said! She said!" situation. If you value the integrity of your word, then do not go to Edmund's Import Auto because they don't value their word to you! Summary: DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE to Edmund's Import Auto of Palmer Alaska if you expect quality customer service! They will lie to your face and rob you blind!

I started doing some research and I came across this company and it was the best decision ever. They do not take walk ins, so you need to call or email them first. They will send you a document for you to fill out. You answer questions about your car and what you are planning to do. They go over the request and Brad lets you know when to bring the car in for service. Once they go over the car, you will get a quote via text or email. In addition, once you approve it, they can send you the invoice so you can pay it from your computer. Once it is done, they will send you a report with before and after pictures. It is just GREAT!!! When you pick up the car, Brad will go over the parts and will show you the old parts that were removed. It is just a very good business model. The cost, it is fair market value and you are helping a local business owner. I can say that my car runs 200% better than ever before.

On May 21st my Chevrolet Truck was dropped off at GForce Transmission. It was towed there after…read moremaking a grinding sound when put into drive. They did not look at it or inspect it until June 1st. Initial estimate was $3800 but was told it might be higher if they found damaged parts. They found damaged parts and quoted me $5140 (need rear main seal and an exhaust gasket. Both quoted at $200 total) - I said "Thats half of what I paid for the truck!" Ed said, "but you cant sell it the way it is and new trucks are very expensive right now" (During the post stimulus inflation time frame) - It was explained to me that the planetary gear(s) had cracked and were destroyed. I needed new steel hard parts. I asked for pictures since the repair was so expensive and this was my first time at this shop. Ed said - "We dont do that here, but I can make sure you get your old parts to inspect" - I said I didn't like it since the amount was so high but the truck was there and apart, so lets just move forward and make sure I get my parts separate. I have been to a transmission shop in the past that gave me a box of parts that were full of several parts that never fit my broken transmission. Make sure I get MY parts Ed. Not someone else's" Ed said - "I will make sure to do that". I was called on June 14th and informed the truck was done. I showed up to pick it up on Thursday June 17th. Almost a month after it was towed to their shop. (Time was not my problem with these guys. There was a 3 day weekend involved and there shop had a water leak. Both of which Ed informed me of) When I walked in, I was given the warranty card and invoice which I will supply to anyone that would like to investigate this further. I was told to sign the warranty card, which I did, and was shown the invoice. As I was reviewing the invoice, Ed grabbed my credit card off the counter. I asked a few questions and he kept saying, "we will go through all of that in a minute" - as he was running my card. The invoice had no serial numbers for parts, nothing to show except line items anyone could have typed up. It did not even have the supplier names or sku's for me to research further. I literally have no proof of these parts being in my truck right now. As soon as Ed was done with my card, I asked to see my parts and was escorted into their shop where they pointed to several totes full of about 5-7 other transmissions parts. I was told the builder didn't keep mine separate. I very quickly told them that what they did was shady and unprofessional. Ed apologized several times. I never threatened or used foul language during any of this exchange. He said he stands on his "43 years of transmission building" - I told him he was shady and unprofessional and my whole experience is bad. I have no way of knowing what they actually did on my truck and how they handled myself and my vehicle was horrible. I am currently on the phone with my bank to cancel my payment until I receive purchase orders and any type of proof from them of any type of service done. _Update 6/17/2021-- Just called to ask Ed for any purchase orders for any parts they installed on my truck and he said he didn't have any and was busy with another customer and hung up. _Update 6/18/2021 -- Ed said he would call me today with a box full of parts from my transmission. Business closed without a call out to me. Big surprise huh? __________________________________________________________ DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS
