It took him about an hour for cleaning and inspection and he told me that the fireplace was not used much in the past and it just needed a good cleaning and lookover . I recently moved into a flip and, to both of our surprise, discovered feet of concrete and bricks stuffed in the middle of my chimney -- meaning my hot water heater and gas line weren't venting properly. Oscar and his team quite literally saved my life. When you buy a new home, you never know what surprises are waiting behind the walls. Oscar went above and beyond to make sure I was safe, that the job was done correctly, and that they'd leave with absolutely no trace they were ever there. Mid-project, they had to open a wall, and not only did they patch the drywall, but they painted it, too -- you'd never know it was touched. He took the time to explain everything in detail so I could actually understand the process, documented every step, and made me feel like a true partner in the project. One thing he said that really stuck with me was: "I know you own the house, but it's our fireplace now." That level of care and pride in his work says it all.
