This company couldn't be more unprofessional. It isn't actually local, but Florida based. We purchased a full detail gift card and after two appointments were canceled by them we requested a refund. They completely ignored the request and showed zero interest in performing the services paid for. We are having our credit card company charge them back. Horrible experience! John is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met!! He did a horrible job and when I called him on it he came back with insults and threats! He is truly a disgrace!! Honestly I would be scared to do business with someone like this and would urge people to be so cautious of his underhanded approach and frankly scary demeanor. First time using All American and it was based on Yelp reviews. What a find! I sent Carlos an email and his main main John called me that evening and set up an appointment at my home. Not only was John on time, but 5 minutes early........real pro. I have a 99 BMW 540 Wagon, pretty rare, and very special to me.......John renewed the headlights, gave it a full polish and wax, and then spent another 30 minutes doing a ton of stuff I didn't even ask for!!! Cleaned the disc brakes, took all the mats out and cleaned, even though I wasn't doing the interior detail, went back over the car inside and out looking for any spots..........just amazing attention. Unbelievable! Carlos had the tough task of cleaning my wife's Range Rover today, which is more like a mobile science experiment than an SUV! For what it is worth, All American Detail is NOT Bonded, Licensed or Insured. The owner, Carlos Almendares claims to be licensed as his website indicates, however do not let this mislead you. He has no formal BBB license with the State of CA. The claimed license is simply an acknowledgment from a Pennsylvania based company known as DK (Detail King) who offers a training program, marketing materials, etc. DK is NOT supplying a Franchisee license. I first met Carlos via-web search back in 2012 while looking for an experienced, reputable mobile auto detailer. First impression was strong, as was the initial results with a complete interior/exterior detail of my then Cadillac Escalade, SUV. I believe in maintaining loyalty as a consumer so long as you're treated well, so I initially had no hesitation to continue to use Carlos. The quality began to erode however by the fourth visit where Carlos began sending out workers other than himself who he claimed to have adequately trained. They arrived in his truck, using his equipment so the perception was "this should go smoothly." Quality and thoroughness immediately fell off and I found myself having to request these workers redo much of the job prior to leaving as the results were simply, unacceptable. Maintaining my loyalty to Carlos, by the seventh visit I now have a new 2014 GMC crew cab Sierra Denali (black) with many custom add-ons; wheels/tires, lift, auto retracting steps, etc. Rather than pay the dealer for a new automobile conditioning package I opt to run this through All American Detail, a complete exterior paint buff, sealer wax, all black plastics treated and sealed with UV protectant, interior leather conditioning, etc. Carlos sends out yet another different and supposedly well trained worker which immediately concerned me as Im realizing he (1) has no stability with workers and (2) is no longer showing much concern for quality of work or customer satisfaction. And this is my new truck Im about to entrust to Carlos! The job gets started and I soon observe the worker using an electric buffer near all black plastic trim pieces along the fender wells, bed rails, tailgate, side view mirrors, etc. None of the trim pieces were protected with tape where they meet the painted body. So I walk outside and ask if he's being careful not to run the buffer onto the plastics, which he confirms he is. The job gets done after I ask he redo many areas. Special note, all black plastic trim pieces were conditioned to make appear dark glossy black. After about a week I began noticing the dark glossy appearance of the plastic trim prematurely fading. I could see blotchy white haze beginning to show through. This was occurring with all of the black plastic trim. I attempt to wash this haze off myself with no such luck. In fact, in doing so it basically removed the remainder of the conditioner which revealed the extent of how bad the plastics looked. All were badly damaged from direct wax build up. At this point I knew the worker Carlos sent out was negligent in running the buffer over the black trim plastics, then made the damage worse in spreading the wax over the porous plastics in an attempt to hastily clean. I did not contact Carlos right away as I knew he would simply give me the run around and ultimately this was on me for remaining loyal to a guy who simply did not deserve my business. I eventually brought the truck into the dealer hoping to have the Service Department evaluate the plastic trim and determine if I could file a claim to have all replaced via warranty. The dealer contracted auto-body body shop attempted to clean the plastic trim to no avail. The Service Director who overseas all service departments for some 200 GM dealers in the western US was called out to inspect the truck. Between this representative, the auto-body shop and local service manager, all confirmed the damage was the result of wax being applied directly to the plastic trim pieces out of negligence, and for this reason the warranty will not cover the now ruined trim. With no options available to me other than to come out-of-pocket over $3K to replace all damaged trim, I call Carlos to bring the matter to his attention. I explain what occurred and that I was interested in his response. Rather than act concerned, Carlos proceeds to take a defiant stance and tone, basically denied any accountability or responsibility. He accused me of falsely blaming him and asked I provide video proof of his worker damaging my truck. He then defiantly confirms when asked, All American Detail is an UNDER THE TABLE, CASH ONLY, NON-BONDED or INSURED business. This essentially means you as the consumer will have to accept all responsibility if something bad happens and, as Murphy's Law clearly states - if something bad can happen, it will. Or in my case, it did. There are plenty of reputable, motivated mobile detailers out there who are willing to earn your business. Carlos is not one of them! read more

John is extremely personable, professional, and his pricing is very competitive. I had him detail our 06 Prius that has a million miles from being driven back and forth from LA, and eaten in by my younger teen that I continue to chauffeur around... So suffice to say it was filled with spilled drink stains and food bits, and needed some TLC. John quoted 4 hours but spent over 5 hours making it look like new! We are extremely happy with the finished results and will def use him in the future for our other cars. I also appreciate the fact that he didn't "hound" me for a yelp review, I left it on my own accord. If you mention you found him on yelp you will also get a discount. Great guy and great service.
