I just had the BEST experience with Derrick from All American HVAC. The rumors are true -- he really does answer his phone at all hours! My husband called yesterday at almost 6pm and Derrick still picked up. By noon today, he was already at my home. He was here for maybe 10 minutes before identifying and fixing the heating issue we've been dealing with for far too long. And instead of handing me the invoice and heading out, he stayed an extra 30 minutes to test the system and make sure everything kept running consistently. That level of care is rare. After being burned by a previous HVAC vendor who clearly didn't fix the problem, Derrick restored my trust. When we called Derrick the first time, he was at the movie theater, but he still picked up the phone. When I called the second time, he was at a wedding and still picked up the phone. Then he came to our house to look at our AC unit, and he was very professional. His customer service was top-notch. He is very polite and knowledgeable about his business. Furnace started having issues just as the weather got cold and with a baby we needed heat ASAP. Derrick picked up my call and scheduled a visit the next day. He shows up on time, even gives me a heads up that he's on his way. Gets here and spends a great deal of time doing a full diagnostics check and even calls the manufacturer to double check some info. He clearly communicates to me what he thinks the problem is, has a plan to try one thing and if it fails, another idea. The first idea wasn't it and so I call him to let him know. He comes the following day, ON A SUNDAY. Goes after plan B and haven't had an issue since, been over a week and furnace is running fine. Cherry on top, he didn't charge me at all for the 2nd visit. A+ for Derrick! All American HVAC installed a new permitted AC and Furnace in our 1950's house. The old unit was about 20 years old and completely stopped working in August during a heatwave. The new unit is a dream come true and works so efficiently and quickly. Plus, our monthly electric bill has come down a lot. When it comes to making a pricey investment for a new AC and Furnace, my family got about 10 quotes. Derrick was by FAR the most responsive, HONEST, compassionate, and flexible. I never felt like he was inflating his prices, because he owns his business and doesn't report to a larger organization. He came back multiple times to answer our questions, picked up our facetime calls, responded to texts immediately, checked out the approved inspected work, and advised us on how to build a fence around the unit. I read this company's reviews and everyone I read mentioned how responsive Derrick was and that he gives same day quotes. I happen to call and he picks up right away and gives me a quote. Our AC and power went out since yesterday. We had an electrician at our house in the morning. He said it was not an electrical problem. That it was only the AC. I called Derrick this afternoon and he was kind enough to squeezed us in last minute. He was at our home within ten minutes. He was very polite and professional and Right away got to work. He fix the AC problem but unfortunately, the AC still didn't turn on. I was kind of concerned because we all know how it is with repair people. However, Dereck took the extra step to figure out what was the problem. Although he's not an electrician, he's the one who properly diagnosed the issue. There was in-fact an electrical problem. The issue was with the Edison power lines. Because of him we were able to get the issue resolved. If you ever need an honest, professional, efficient AC guy, Derrick is the one to call. On Father's Day our A/C stopped working and we called several companies but Derrick was the only gentlemen that called us back and advised he could handle the job today, all other companies stated they could take a look on Monday morning. Derrick was quick, knew exactly what was wrong, he chatted with my husband on several Air/heating topics, how often we should change filters, what months are best for a/c and furnace routines. We did get charge a little more but that was because it was Father's Day, and we were expecting to pay a little more anyways, really we just wanted the A/C fixed. Normally for routine maintenance the cost is $99 but if you need to have work done that amount rolls into the cost of the fix. The owner Derrick came out on Tuesday and diagnosed the problem. We have a AC unit that is thirty years plus years old. Time replace and save money on the electric bill. I was really stressed out about putting a new AC unit because I didn't know if my lines had a leak or if it was a simple coil replacement with a new compressor. Derrick was very patient with all my questions and options. His bid was thorough on all the parts and workmanship that needed to be done. Because I live in a townhome that is over 30 years old I wasn't getting the best flow for heating or cooling and recommend a larger return, a larger vent in the master bedroom and 2 1/2 ton unit. I can tell you just doing that my master bedroom is warmer than it had in many years and cooling system is right on. On top of that his workers were efficient and just as knowledgeable. I am a mom with a one month new born, and our 30 year old AC started leaking water out of the emergency drip line right before July. We hired Derrick Clifton and All American HVAC after a lot of research and bids from several companies to remove our old air ducts (asbestos abatement) and install a complete new system of ducts, vents, and thermosat. Derrick was fabulous. He is smart and really understands how systems work. Our system is very old and very weird, and Derrick was able to explain what needed to be done. He drew schematics and spent a lot of time crawling under the house and making sure he was giving us the best work. His bid was very competitive. He scheduled us quickly and our job was done with one day of removal and a day and a few hours of installation. Derrick's crew was masked, friendly, and efficient. He came over during the first day to supervise and he finished the job himself. I especially liked that Derrick is so hands on. Most companies send someone out to estimate and sell, but a different crew comes to do the work. Derrick answers his phone himself and gets back to customers very quickly, even when out of town.
