He not only replaced the motor the same day (so we don't have to sleep in 85F house temp) but he improved the ventilation system by fixing the doors and strapped down the air filter so it doesn't flop without my asking him. He was available to come out after the call and take a look at my A/C. He diagnosed the problem & informed me of the necessary repairs. Just had Jay come out and check my AC system that conveniently went out during the recent heatwave. He was very busy but found time to come out and diagnosed what was wrong. Initially contacted another company first and they told me I had to replace a metering valve, replace refrigerant, die filters, and reseal the system. Jay came out and said it was actually just the condenser pump that went out and quoted me 5x less than the first company! He literally saved me thousands of dollars. He was honest and did the work in less than an hour and was very friendly. Before he left I asked about other maintenance services and he was honest and told me it wasn't necessary and didn't try to upsell. Jay is the owner and offers a 1 year warranty on his work. I believe he charges $85 to come out for a diagnosis but the fee is absorbed if you decide to go with him. His business card has found a home on my fridge in case I have any issues in the future. I was referred to this company by a close friend of mine who has worked with this person for a while he came out before the first time, and he took care of business so fast and so easy and so affordable that I thought I was dreaming!!. all of the work that he did in the past seems to continue on to be in great shape. Then lately I had an issue with a portion of something in my house a thermostat that was ran by Google name of the thermostat was nest. This thermostat is something that Google controls you and so Google decides to upgrade their thermostat and all of a sudden I go to turn it on on a hot day and it wouldn't work then I'm reading on post that Google decides to upgrade without letting the customers know so now I'm out of air on a hot hot day and I remember this company did such a great job before I called him. The guy came out immediately brought a new thermostat took off the old one and for affordable price. It was done just like that. I love this company. I think the guy is an incredible fair nice gentleman and does great work. After a frustrating experience with another company, I was in urgent need of a reliable HVAC technician because my furnace was not working. Jay from Rainbow Heating & Air answered my call right away and arrived within the hour. He thoroughly inspected the furnace, trying to pinpoint why it wasn't producing heat. I called today about an AC that needed repairs/replacement and was pleasantly surprised to be informed of the pro/cons of a repair (in this case, a temporary solution) versus replacing the unit completely (initially thought this was too costly, but ended up being a very reasonable and a fair price). Our air conditioner and heater stopped working on Sunday. My in-law's referred me to their HVAC company. I called them but they weren't able to send anyone out until Thursday.
