I wasn't ready to spend what he wanted for a new driveway. So I settled on a repair. They did an impressive job! I have had my driveway sealed and patched a number of time over the past 20 years and let me say no one ever gave me a job as complete as the Job Joe did. Waited a month and no response - they do not stand behind their work product. The contractors response presents a incorrect picture of any interactions we had. I was never told the area needed to be repaved, in fact I was told they could fix it. The contractor never agreed to come out and fix cracks, but did agree to come out and look at the issues. The original review on Thumbtack was posted on Sept 10, 2025, so after 7 weeks, I think I have been extremely patient. Rather than mill up their mistake and resurface the drive correctly, Slonaker's poorly patched up the mess. Now, almost three years later, it looks terrible. New cracks emerge all the time. Other contractors estimate that the $5,130 Slonaker paving job is going to cost us up to $25,000 to fix. I cannot recommend Slonaker. Addendum: The owner has replied to my initial review and fabricated details about a tree being the cause for cracks. This is inaccurate, and certainly would not account for asphalt cracking all over the driveway, or the uncured "goo" in several locations on the drive. Plus, the job was under warranty, as per the contract. As for his crew spilling sealant all over the street in front of my neighbor's home, I'm surprised he admitted to it. I had not even mentioned that episode in an effort to keep my review focused on the major issue. But my neighbor was furious, and the incident is another example of Slonaker's bungling. The crew, who arrived six hours late, decided that hosing down the spilled sealant with water, which flowed into, and fouled, Craig's Run, was the ideal way to deal with the situation. We are very disappointed. We stand by my original conclusion: we cannot recommend Slonaker's.
