Rather than mill up their mistake and resurface the drive correctly, Slonaker's poorly patched up the mess. Now, almost three years later, it looks terrible. New cracks emerge all the time. Other contractors estimate that the $5,130 Slonaker paving job is going to cost us up to $25,000 to fix. I cannot recommend Slonaker. Addendum: The owner has replied to my initial review and fabricated details about a tree being the cause for cracks. This is inaccurate, and certainly would not account for asphalt cracking all over the driveway, or the uncured "goo" in several locations on the drive. Plus, the job was under warranty, as per the contract. As for his crew spilling sealant all over the street in front of my neighbor's home, I'm surprised he admitted to it. I had not even mentioned that episode in an effort to keep my review focused on the major issue. But my neighbor was furious, and the incident is another example of Slonaker's bungling. The crew, who arrived six hours late, decided that hosing down the spilled sealant with water, which flowed into, and fouled, Craig's Run, was the ideal way to deal with the situation. We are very disappointed. We stand by my original conclusion: we cannot recommend Slonaker's.

When he was finished, we paid him for the job only to realize within a few days that we had more water at the end of the driveway then before he started. He guaranteed us he would come back and fix it. It has now been six months. We have contacted him numerous times, saying that he will fix it, but he has never come back. He used our Mayor in our small town as a reference and said he did work for our town. Beware of him and his company, he will take the money and run.

They did a good job of grading the driveway so the water runs away from the house. They were polite and eager to please. They even used leftover asphalt to fill in some of the neighbors potholes. My only complaint is that they gave us an initial quote which we accepted and then when the job was done, they said it needed to be sealed and added another hefty fee for that. I feel they should have covered both fees in the initial quote.
