ABSOLUTLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE OPPERATING IF THEY CANT GET CONTROL ON THEIR EMPLOYEES! Today I saw two hardin trucks pull infront of my neighbors drive way. Blocking/preventing them from removing their own vehicle from their driveway. I saw my neighbor go up and speak to them to ask them to remove their trucks away from his driveway. One of the drivers got out of the truck and shoved me neighbor and they got into an argument. While they proceeded to argue 5 other Hardin employees got out of their trucks and surrounded my neighbor on his property. One of them snuck up from behind my neighbor on the his property to try to tackle him to the ground. I heard a lot of shouting and called the police! My neighbor's wife was on the phone aswell. I assume calling the police.... When they noticed the cops where on the way 4 of the men got back in their trucks and drove off, leaving the one that was being handled to the ground by my neighbor. I reached out to three tree services this year for my three year old stone fruit tree. For the second year in a row, Mr Hardin arrived to look at the tree and give an estimate. He suggested for me to wait ANOTHER year. He noticed it was thirsty and gave me better instructions on how to care and told me to give him a call next year. Fast forward to the next two: yes, they showed up, but never suggested I wait, and each gave me unreasonable estimates of over $500 for a young stone fruit tree. I am super happy I found Hardin's Tree Service! The previous owners of our home (or the builders) did a horrible job on the landscaping; a tree that was planted in the front yard up by the house grew crooked and has a VERY large root that's protruding out of the ground quite a ways is just in the way and looks horrible. We also have a few bush stumps and a full bush that we want removed so we can start fresh and do something nice with the front area (hopefully add on to the porch). I contacted them on Sunday night 2/28 and received an email that night saying he'd contact me the next morning to set something up. Sure enough, Tom contacted me early morning and we were able to schedule a quote appointment later in the afternoon. He came out on time, was SUPER nice and I got a really great quote, especially considering the amount of work involved. After having a few other tree service companies come out for an estimate, Hardin's was the best quote by far; half of what all the others were asking. I talked it over with my husband and a few hours later I was scheduling a date for him to complete the work - set for Saturday, March 12th. I cannot say enough great things about Hardin's Tree Service. We have a camphor tree that had a large amount of dead limbs, and an orange tree that was threatening world domination so had numerous services come out and provide quotes. While their quote wasn't the cheapest (nor the most expensive) we were impressed with the thoroughness of the review of what we wanted trimmed vs. removed and the knowledge on what would be best for the health of the tree as well as aesthetic considerations. Day of service, this crew shows up and immediately gets to work. They wrapped the wrought iron supports to my patio, took care to not damage the brick entryway, had safety cones in the street around the wood chipper, and two hours later, my backyard looks great. Following all the tree and limb removal, the yard was raked, all debris removed, and they even came through with a leaf blower on my front porch to remove any sawdust that had blown from the wood chipper. Great customer service and a fast response. I tried reaching two other tree service companies before I contacted Hardin's. Neither of the previous two returned my phone call(s). The receptionist I spoke with was lovely and informed me she would send someone out during the weekend to take a look at our tree stump and provide an estimate. The gentleman (I believe it was the owner) came by earlier in the week while he was in the area. After an inspection he let me know there was no need for him to remove the stump with his equipment. He instructed us on how to correctly and effectively use round up for the small stump and roots. I had a pecan tree in our backyard that was causing us issues and just had to go. I contacted several tree services and Hardin's Tree Service was the lowest estimate given. Now usually lowest price doesn't always mean the best...but Tom and his crew did a great job on my tree. Tom was very professional and made sure to get the job done and then some. I asked him to prune some other surrounding trees that wasn't part of the original contract. Tom and his crew obliged and didn't even charge me extra. I also asked him to grind down the stump. He couldn't do that due to the location of the tree but him and his crew did all they can to cut down into the roots....no stump. And didn't charge me for that either!! This company is thorough. The tree died in my front yard they came and cut the tree down ground down the stump and got rid of the roots. They cleaned up all the little branches. Tom came out for the estimate back in November 2020, and he was booked until the beginning of February 2021. He was not only the best estimate but also the easiest of 3 arborists to deal with. He arrived on time and did the job as specified on the estimate on 2/06/21. Tom and his crew are professional, courteous, and are experienced tree experts. They did an excellent job of trimming 5 trees, and removing one. I overpaid him by $30, and 2 hours after he left, Wendy from his office called me to tell me I overpaid and wanted to arrange to return my overpayment--Extremely honest company.
