Usually you have to send multiple emails to get something scheduled but they scheduled it for the Saturday. The 3-man crew worked in an organized manner to cover everything fully. That is usually my biggest concern. They meticulously tapped down plastic to protect the windows and floor. Max was happy to resolve concerns I had on the roof vents before they began. They went room by room even isolating the foam with plastic enclosure so we could enter the other areas safetly. They worked diligently and cleaned up fully. I made a false assumption. I thought that this company would use the dustless approach to sandblasting my driveway. When I eventually saw the huge dust cloud from my second story window I came down and stopped the sandblasting and called All Bay Dustless Blasting & Coating. I was told that they used to do dry ice dustless sand blasting, but no longer. I asked about the name of the company and was told that they can name the company anything that they want. All Bay Area sanded my ceiling down. The overall job was ok. There are numerous patchy areas that still have some noticeable paint on it, but that's somewhat expected when using a spray gun in a low visibility environment. I'll still need to hand sand a number of areas before staining in order to get a consistent color. I would not have left a review for ABADB under normal circumstances, but their crew used a number of my tools onsite and packed one of them away with them when they left. I contacted Max about the issue and he said he'd pay me back for the missing item. I sent them my payment info over two weeks ago and it's been crickets since. Excellent! Max and his crew sand blasted a wood ceiling at a home we own in the Russian River area after a leaky roof created significant stains - They also addressed a concrete pad at the entry that got stained over time... both surfaces look brand new! Re. the mess, you'll want to mask any interior areas off completely w/ thick plastic and red tape - remove any and all items to ensure a smooth cleanup. There's lots of dust, so I'd definitely recommend having a shop vac and lots of wipes on hand. That said, it was all worth it. The guys were professional, showed up on time, and did kick-ass work. I called around for a spray foam company to spray the bottom of my roof. Max showed up with in 45 min to go over my project and said he could start the next morning. My price was very competitive after talking to 3 others. The showed up the next morning and prepped by covering everything before they sprayed. The building is 1360 SQ and put a thick 4 inch layer on the lid. They were very professional. After they were complete, they asked me to go over there work and point out any concerns I have and they will address them. After they completed, they cleaned up well. Contacted the company on a Tuesday requesting to schedule an appointment for a jeep roof rack. Person I spoke with gave me an address to drop it off on Wednesday, and told me it would be ready by 10:30am on Thursday. Mind you, I was already not comfortable with where I left it, since there was no office. It was a storage unit at a uhaul company. When I went to pick it up it had no been touched, it literally was in the same spot I left it. I was going to take it with me untouched, but after speaking with him on the phone he assured me he could do it and have it ready the next day. No surprise, but it wasn't ready the next day... My original request; Need an estimate to dustless blast the tan paint off of my walkway. I have sanded and scraped this but need the paint removed from the concrete. Would also need the landscaping on both sides protected from debris. Also, after blasting will the concrete look uniform in appearance? Supposed to arrive between 8:00-9:00, arrived at 10:30 which wouldn't have been a problem except they finished when it was dark. If I had seen the mess last night (DARK) I would not have left a tip and probably should have asked for a price reduction. Spent hours cleaning this up and there must be 150-200 Lbs of sand. Your quote included protection, preparation, cleaning and collecting all debris. Most of that did not happen. These guys did a great job sandblasting the paint off my brick chimney and knee wall. Worked quickly and made extra effort to contain the dust and sand and protect nearby plants and structure. Anyone who believes that this company is responsible and honest needs to read my review from 2018 when they destroyed my car and Alex has made absolutely no attempt to make it right. This company, at last check, is not licensed with the Contractor's Licensing Board and by Alex's claim, uninsured or bonded, most importantly with the Contractor's Licensing Board. That this company is still allowed to do business is a puzzle to me as I filed a complaint with the CLB, they could do nothing except inform me that this company is not licensed, bonded or insured and operating outside of legal requirements for a contractor and I am stuck with the task of paying out of pocket to fix my car myself. All of the old broken sun-worn paint was removed to reveal the beautiful and original red brick. Why it was ever painted over is beyond me. What was underneath was just breath taking. This company came out and did a good job on the actual sand blasting. Where they fell short was on the clean up and method of blasting. I had to hire another firm to finish the clean up work after they came back out a second time to clean up. I was told that they would use the water blasting so there would be no dust. When I cam home a couple hours after they started, they were blasting without water and the dust was everywhere! Needless to say I am very unhappy. read more
