Low quality testing. Avoid. We paid for almost a thousand for asbestos testing. The result shows 2% asbestos in the drywall joint compound. However, they then told me there is a higher chance to bring it down to less than 1% if we pay for additional two hundreds for a higher accuracy measurement. This is nonsense since there's a high chance for a step change. if less than 1% it's classified as non-asbestos containing material which significantly brings down the abatement cost. All Bay environmental responded to my inquiry quickly, we made an appointment in a very short notice and got the test results in a timely manner. I used All Bay Environmental to test material left over after a project was completed in my apartment by contractors my complex hired. The workers left debris over the floor and did not complete their task. I sent over some of the debris through mail to the All Bay field office. This was during the beginning of the fires in California from a recent dry thunder storm. Since the mail took so long to arrive through ground, they expressed the results at the base rate, and emailed them to me. When I had questions about the results, they also took it upon themselves to ask the lab for specific numbers and got back to me within the hour. (Normally "debris" only says "positive" or "negative", no content number is included. Materials from specific areas are given content numbers.) The material tested positive for 2% chrysotile asbestos. I expressed concern to the office staff through email, and the owner Travis called me the next day to answer my questions.
