Owner of business was very professional and nice enough, however, he did not want to answer any of my questions and provided no information on the inspection or testing process, I felt completely in the dark. I was told a specific date on when I would get my report and didn't receive it, so contacted them and then received it a couple days after. I was disappointed there was no one who touched bases with me to ask if I had any questions or offering to explain to me what the report indicated or meant. I feel for how exorbitantly expensive the basic level of the inspection/testing was, a little more personal interaction or customer service would have been offered. Called to get an estimate for water underneath the house, water removal possible mold cleanup not 100% sure because no one has been down there for about a year. Anyway spoke with a gentleman took down my info said someone wjll call me right away, about 15 minutes later a woman called and asked if this was a home older than 1970? I gave the call to the homeowner and as far as I can tell the lady who called said they can not remove sheetrock because of asbestos? This is news to me, and at any rate the main job we were seeking done was water removal, find the source of leak, if mold deal with it. Underneath the house the crawlspace does not have sheet rock and I'm not totally sure why it is a big deal. There's no asbestos jn the house. She told me she would get a technician here right away I received no calls and no one showed up so far. No missed calls, I dont get it. One star. read more

I can't speak more highly of my experience with Alex. He came out to assess what needed to be done with the black mold in my shower. Unlike the other two contractors I called, he checked the damage by visual inspection as well as using a moisture meter in different parts of the bathroom and determined the moisture was only in the shower, and that it just needed a deep clean and re-caulking. Another mold specialist just looked at the tile and immediately said the whole bathroom needed to be demo'd. I am still waiting on the quote from the third. Just wanted to give QWDR some props for their professional, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. I had a damp spot in my closet that had been bugging me for weeks. Thought it might be a leak or something. Called QWDR on Tues. and talked to Alex. Very friendly and professional exchange. He told me he could get his technician out the next day to do an assessment. Lionel came the following morning on schedule. Again, same courteous and professional service. He used an IR scanner and I think moisture meter to find the leak. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it came up negative. But I was still concerned, since it was damp for quite a while. I thought mold might have grown under the flooring. So Lionel was good enough to lift the flooring and take a look. Again, fortunately, no mold. So I was assured there was no leak (kids might have spilled something there or previous carpet cleaners left a pool of water) and no mold. Since there was nothing for them to actually fix, nothing was charged. How great is that? All the while, Lionel explained many things to look for in an actual leak and how they would approach fixing it. I have them bookmarked in case I do have a real water problem. My husband and I have only good things to say about Alex and his team. Our neighbor's washer drained two loads of water into our home and it caused some major damage -- I can safely say about 30-40% of our home was damaged. Not fun. The bad thing was it happened during New Year's and so many offices were closed and we couldn't get in contact with our home insurance. Not knowing any better, we waited until the next business day to hear what our next step was. They told us that we need to get our home dried of the water right away. I found Alex on Yelp and gave him a call. When he heard that the water's been sitting in our home for the past 4-5 days, he came right away at around 8-9pm at night, which was surprising but highly appreciated. He assessed the damage with his meters and equipment and spent a good 30 minutes going over what needs to be done and what to expect. He was very knowledgeable, understanding and did not try to push us in any way. I tried to give him tip for his time but he refused it. Needless to say, we hired him and his guys came to start on the job the very next night. They had another job earlier in the day but still worked with our work schedule. Luckily, we had no mold growth and after a 3-4 day process, the drying was finally done. His team was very respectful and courteous and are fully aware of what needs to be done. I called several companies for an estimate to disinfect our basement where sewage was released by plumbers via a clean out. Due to the cost we didn't use Alex and his team. The basement was concrete and used for storage and a workshop. There was only about 3" of standing water, so it wasn't too terrible so we couldn't justify the cost since we had to pay out of pocket. If this was living space and if the damage was worse, I would use Alex in a heart beat because: - he responded quickly - showed up on time for the estimate - knowledgeable about the process - thorough and educated me as to why they have their process and the products they use. - the process involves hiring a hygienist to take samples before and after. I think this is a great way to ensure quality control and ensure the job was done right - he never tried to upsell or push me and even offered to help answer questions.
