With rising costs and getting less use out of our pool, we made the tough decision to remove our in-ground pool. We met with 3 contractors. All of the contractors were pretty close in their proposals and quotes. They all had many years of experience and impressive portfolios. We went with Robert because we connected with him the most. Our project had some initial delays because our house lies in a GeoHazard Zone. This took close to a month and a half to get through the permitting and inspection process. Robert was great during this whole time, giving us periodic updates through texts. Once he was given the notice to proceed, he was very quick and efficient in removing the pool. To cap the gas lines, water lines, and electrical connections to the pool equipment, Robert suggested Kevin. Kevin was perfect for the job. He spent time explaining the process and the what/why surrounding his scope of work. Additionally, Kevin briefly discussed building codes that would be relevant to the final inspection. The permitting process took an excruciatingly (yet understandably) long time. Robert's demo work took about 5 days. What can I say enough about Robert! After talking to three contractors, I found he is a most humble, sincere, professional guy who I can trust. Also his price quotation is the most reasonable among them. Therefore I hired him to do partial pool removal. Before I signed the contract, he let me know there is a job he has to take care of ahead of mine. He also let me know the progress of the other job so I have an ideal of what he is doing. He handles the permit for me. I wrote a check to San Jose city directly without paying extra fee for his time and gas. Besides pool removal job, he helped me do so many things like getting rid of one small bush at the pool edge, cutting tree branches which blocks his bobcat, fixing a section of tilt fence, tearing down one section of fence for bobcat in and out and putting it back. We removed a painted pool in our newly bought house through Robert. The pool was painted black and its paint was chipping away making it a maintenance nightmare. We got quotes from at least 5 other pool demolition guys. Some pool demolition companies were using scare tactics to sell their services saying an improper job would result in a sink in. Whenever we come across such folks, its a definite no to their service for us and I think people should recognize it as an ineffective marketing strategy. We initially talked to Scott from Four bobcat and pool removal, but he was honest with us that he will not be able to do the job as our side entrance is too small for his bobcat to get in, and the our backyard is small for him to maneuver his bobcat. We were almost dejected until Scott recommended us to Robert from All Bay Pool Removal. Robert came across as a really nice and honest person and he had small enough bobcat to sneak through our side entrance! He quoted us the lowest price of all the other quotes we received. We were a little worried on whether we will get the quality of work for the price we were paying but boy we were wrong. Robert explained us all the steps in the demolition process he will be doing. He showed us pictures of his previous work and that gave us a lot of assurance. We did not even have to go personally to get city permission as Robert did it for us. He was very punctual and started the work as decided in our contract. Our pool is bean shaped and we wanted to keep the shape to put a lawn in place of the pool. Initially Robert suggested to hire concrete cutter, but we found the cost too high for the concrete cutting job. We told Robert to do his best to keep the shape of the pool while filling it in and he did an incredible job doing that. He was so precise in his concrete demo, that we got the exact shape of the pool for our lawn (see pictures). He literally saved us the cost of concrete cutting. He would also water the dirt in ample quantities to compact it as much as he can so there is the least possibility of sink in. He also removed rebars for us instead of putting it back to the pool. At the end of the demolition, he even suggested us a hauling person (who was really really reasonably priced) to haul away all the junk produced in the process. Robert also helped us put all the top soil on top of the pool so that we did not have to pay our gardener extra to bring the soil in while putting the new grass. Overall we got an great quality of work at a very reasonable price and it was a pleasure getting the service of Robert. I will definitely recommend him to anyone and guarantee he will do a great job as I think our pool demo was a really difficult job with very little space to move around and Robert did it with finesse. read more

Because I pulled the permit myself, I was really concerned about liability issues and making sure that the job was done in accordance with code. Robert had a ton more experience than the other two contractors (one of which wasn't even licensed but still advertised themselves online as an established demo/excavation company), and his quote was the most reasonable. He was able to demo our concrete patio and fill in the pool in four short days. He showed up when he said he'd show up and he spent a lot of time cleaning up before he left. We were fortunate to have Robert work on our pool demolition project. Robert helped us get the city permit we needed to start and lent us a pump so we can drain the water from the pool. Robert completed the demolition and dirt fill-in quickly within a few days. We had a large swimming pool that we wanted to fill it up, and was very concerned with the cost and the scale of the project. My parents hired Mr. Arrighi to remove their old fiberglass pool that had far out lived it's life, take down the surrounding fence, and grade the removal area. He came to the house, met with my parents to discuss the removal and walked them through the process. He was very respectful, knowledgeable and kind.
