The procedure itself was fast once my jaw was numbed. Minimal discomfort. Dr. Chiodo was skillful and communicates in a friendly manner. Office staff and surgical staff were fine. He was booked solid but my appt was expedited when someone cancelled and I got it all done, quickly, painlessly and w/o any complications. Dr Sloane is the best dentist I have ever let work on my teeth. She always listens to my concern about an issue first then we discuss what is the best solution. Dr Sloane always makes sure that I am comfortable and ready for the procedure before she begins. I had 8 fillings and 3 caps that needed replacing when I walked in her office. She has the technology to make cap replacement and tooth restoration so easy and convenient for me. Each tooth took about 2 hrs to replace. I thought that the technology she uses to fix my teeth was amazing. Otherwise, you may spend hours trying to sort out billing discrepancies. Dr. Kaplan, the owner, seems highly focused on collecting payment immediately. In my experience, I received calls and text messages demanding payment before I had even heard back from my insurance company. At one point, follow-up care for a poorly fitting crown that their office had installed appeared to be contingent on immediate payment. The practice also has frequent staff and dentist turnover, and some staff members have been unprofessional. I have stayed with this practice for more than 30 years, largely because I liked one particular dentist and had developed a long-standing relationship with the office. During that time, I never failed to pay a bill, yet I was still being pursued for payment over the July 4th holiday weekend. When I finally received the bill and tried to pay it by phone, I discovered that the office had provided a different balance than the one originally communicated. I ended up spending about 40 minutes on the phone with the business owner trying to reconcile the numbers, only to arrive at the same figure we had started with. I wanted to be a dental patient, not a billing expert. While some of the clinical care has been good, the billing practices and collection approach have left me deeply disappointed.

I've been coming to Dr.Desai for several years now and always felt cared for. She is knowledgeable and informs you of treatments you may need without being overbearing. She is not the type of dentist to force treatment plans on you and make you feel uncomfortable. She is the main reason I keep returning and have recommended her dental practice to many people. My mom, dad, and sister also come to her as well after I suggested they go to her. She is very personable and she is gentle when she works on you. As for her dental hygienist, dental assistant, and front desk personnel they are very professional and kind.
