I was calling around to find help for a convertible top that had a broken cross bow in the roof. I had bought the car a few months back and someone had done a JB weld "glued" type repair. So many repair shops did not answer their phones. I left messages and only about 1/2 called back. I did get a price quote from another shop but it was a price with a flat hourly rate. I felt I should call around a little more. When I called All City Convertibles Matt answered . Listened to the issue I had .Then He did his best to help me. I told him I lived in Puyallup. He said that he knew a shop that did really good work and it would be easier for me to get service a few minutes away rather than an hour or so drive. But if they could not help call him back and he would fix the top. So I called the other shopp but they were booked until after January. I called Matt back and he got me on the schedule. I drove up yesterday it took an hour and a half. Matt was there and got the car in immediately and started to work on it. About an hour and a half later he had the job wrapped up and I was on my way back home. Perfect! The reason I contacted All City Convertibles and Customs was because of how rare it is to see a company with 100% 5 star reviews. Yes price is important but it was not the driver to go there. Mike and Matt were absolutely wonderful! Our Nissan 370Z convertible sat in the shop at the Nissan dealership for 5 months, and at a cost of $1,700!!! They were NEVER able to diagnose why the convertible top stopped working. The dealership suggested replacing the entire mechanism/top for $18,000! We said, "No thank you!" Fortunately, I called All City Convertible and spoke with Mike. He was very nice on the phone. He told us to bring the car in and they would do their best to diagnose the issue. The back seat of my odyssey got stuck and couldn't be pulled down. Youtube said I need to replace some part, so I went to all city today. All City just reupholstered 2 sets of seats and did a fantastic job. The first set was a bench seat and rear seat for a 1971 Dodge Demon using Legendary Auto seat covers. They had to do foam repair, fix a broken spring and redo the adjustment cable. The finished result was outstanding so I had them redo the front buck seats from my 1984 CJ7 using covers I had purchased online and again, the results are like brand new. I have a 1994 Ford F-150 with nearly 250,000 miles. The drivers seat was crushed flat with age and usage. The guys at All City Convertibles & Customs rebuilt my seat and gave me a great price on it. The seat is better than new! When I was leaving a frayed wire created a little smoke under the seat, so I went back immediately and Matt and the Mike (who had rebuilt and thoroughly repaired the seat ) came right out, pulled the seat and overhauled it right in front of me. They repaired the wire with enthusiasm and no additional charge. That kind of service and no-bs coverage is very rare in my experience to begin with. But Matt really went the extra mile when he was noticed a crack in the floorboard under the driver's seat. He offered to weld it back if I came by at the end of the next day.... Well that was today (5/14/13) and even though I was running late and Matt was on his way out, he stayed an extra 40 minutes to clean and weld around 14 non-linear inches of the floorboard back together. I am actually amazed that the seat hadn't fallen through before now. It was a very thorough job complete with a quick coat of paint to prevent rust. I never know what to expect when I take my old truck to a shop. Especially when I go to a shop that does really high end jobs. The team at All City Convertibles & Customs not only treated the old beast like it was new, they made it more comfortable than it ever been. Not to mention safer to drive. Well worth tracking them down through the road construction (November 2012) and their not-so-obvious location: look for the driveway sign on the north side of NE 112th St. I had bought a top from an Internet store and was going to install it myself, but I checked All City's prices and they were so reasonable I decided to let the pros install it. There's an engineering adage that goes "Good, fast, cheap ... pick any two." With All City, you get all three. The end result is my Miata top looks better than the original. All City's installation left the fit and connections to the Miata roof cross-bars spot on. They even stored the wet towels (my old rear window was leaking as the zipper no longer worked and I had the window taped into place) in a plastic bag so they wouldn't soak the interior. We recently went to All City for them to replace the headliner covering in the 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pickup we are readying to sell. We drove by for a quick estimate and scheduled an appointment for the next week. We dropped our truck off just before closing on Mon night and it was ready to pick-up within 24 hours. all City did a beautiful job for about $300. The headliner matches the interior and looks fantastic. My only disappointment is with myself - for driving our truck around so long with the headliner hanging down instead of getting it repaired sooner! I can definitely recommend the guys at All City for your headliner replacements. I'm confident they would do a great job on upholstery and convertible tops as well. Everyone was very polite, friendly and professional. The scheduling was easy and the service was prompt. The price we paid was an excellent value, which I'm sure will make our truck easier to sell at a price that will more than cover the cost. They are a bit difficult to find, so when you get to the address, just drive down the drive almost to the end of the building. Took my Alfa Romeo Spider to All City to have a new convertible top installed. A few weeks ago they quoted me a price and honored that price. They also got the job done on time - they even stayed after hours until I got there for pickup. Beyond the standard installation they noted the frame was rusty, so they addressed that and several other things - none of which I had called to their attention. I immediately noticed that the floors were neatly vacuumed, too. Before leaving the installer gave me some good advice about the top. When I dropped the car off to do the top I asked for some ideas for new seat upholstery. So when I returned for pickup they presented me with a couple of nice options. First rate service and workmanship! My 2003 Sebring convertible had the top vandalized, and my insurance company sent me to a repair shop that could not locate neither a new top nor a used top, and suggested a used top would cost $1500 BEFORE INSTALLATION. All City took me on short notice and was able to find a new top and install it for barely more than the used top would have cost without the install. Also, I want to note that at the time I went in for my initial consultation, I was suffering from a brain injury and was having severe anxiety attacks when driving on the freeway. John was considerate enough to pick me up where I pulled over and drive my car back to the shop where we set up the work order. Because he was sympathetic to my plight, he allowed me to hang back in the shop while I waited for a friend to pick me up and get me home. I left my vehicle there overnight, while Matt was solid enough to patch up my roof at no charge so the top would not leak if it rained. Once the top arrived, I brought my Sebring back in and it was ready EARLIER THAN EXPECTED! All I can say is I recommend All City without exception. Not only did they do excellent work at a fair price, they reached out to me on a human level while I was struggling thru debilitating health issues. I called and spoke with John and felt at ease with him instantly. I had a leak inside my convertible Sebring and was told by a company in Everett that I needed to replace my convertible top.The company in Everett claimed they had done a water test and confirmed the top was the problem and quoted me $1500 dollars. For some reason I didn't believe it and started researching companies and luckily found All City. Spoke with John and he said he didn't feel I needed a new top based on what I described but he wanted to do a water test. Well sure enough it wasn't the top the water was coming from the front right passenger door and did not cost $1500 to fix. Today I found out there are still a few good businesses out there and All Care is one. Thanks to John and staff I did not have to worry any more because they solved the problem. These people are fabulous! A really destructive wind storm caused a tree to break through our SUVs Side back window totally shattering the window and ripping up the upholstery panel on the interior of the door. It is an older vehicle but in really good condition. However finding a replacement panel was proving extremely difficult because of the age of the vehicle. After the window and window channel was replaced, All city upholstery and customs was recommended by two body shops to try to fix the upholstery panel and so we took our car to them hoping for the best. We were absolutely amazed at the really beautiful job they did and at an extremely reasonable cost -in less than a day. We would go to them in a minute if we needed this kind of work done again. They seem to be Masters of working with leather, vinyl, or any upholstery fabric on any part of an interior. All City Convertible and customs repaired my front seats and installed seat heaters. In every aspect, (schedule, value & quality) they did a phenomenal job. Some background... The vehicle is a 4WD 2005 Ford Expedition with leather seats and 130k miles on it... No show car to be sure, but very versatile, and given the replacement cost, I want to keep this bad boy going as long as I can. Problem was that the drivers seat was becoming very uncomfortable.. Like I was feeling the seat springs trying to intrude where they did not belong!. The leather was not great looking and had a small tear on one side.. In addition, I really wanted seat heaters. So, John took a look at it and said that if I wanted to try some cleaner that he has available, that he thought the leather might clean up pretty good...and that he could repair the tear... and that if we used the existing leather, the cost would be less that half of cost if leather had to be replaced ! I like the way this man thinks :-) So, the cleaner was incredibly effective. Way better than anything I ever got in an auto parts store. Used that, then followed up with leather conditioner, and the seats looked and felt WAY better. That done, I brought the Expo in to have the cushions repaired and the heaters installed. All was done in one day ! The cushions were re-done in a way that will prevent further unauthorized spring incursions, and the seat heater install looks like a factory job. Really, it is so comfortable now that the day of the install, my wife was looking for me at dinner time, and found me sitting in the expo in the driveway... (just kidding) but it really does feel that much better. Beyond (or maybe behind) the exceptional performance of the team at All City is a sense of pride in their work that I just have not experienced and larger corporate owned shops. I had an amazing experience working with these guys. Matt Gibson, one of the owners worked with me from start to finish with my truck--beyond the normal customer service I am used to from a dealer. My 2011 Landcover LR4 had a serious leak, tons of water was entering the car from air bag "button"!To make a long story short, they searched everywhere for where additional water could be coming in to my vehicle because once they looked under the carpets, they discovered gallons of water.. to my surprise they found blocked ducts near the wheel well. And, finally, they discovered a "mouse house" under my hood (which they kindly vacuumed and made sure no wires were chewed..which had nothing to do with my leak!). All of this and 2 days with the ozone machine drying out my car they stayed at their rate they had quoted from the start --$ 250. Thank goodness, I had no mold but my car was seriously wet under the carpets. It is good as new and smells new as well. I had a serious water leak issue in my 2005 F250 lifted truck ("frozen" window and sunroof condensation on the inside, with freezing temperatures outside). I had one mobile windshield service stop by my house and run several water tests with the sunroof, but wasn't confident that the sunroof needed to be replaced. I called several other companies and spoke with people over the phone (several who weren't confident in being able to find the issue and who had high charges just to walk in the door). Ford referred 2 companies to me. [I won't name the first referral who was rude to us, didn't return calls or provide the parts estimate they promised two times, and who clearly didn't want to work on my lifted truck!] The other referral was this company I'm rating now: All City Convertibles! SPECIAL THANKS to John, Matt, and another guy who worked on my truck! John made me feel comfortable over the phone before I brought it in--that they had the experience of working on several auto leaks every week. John explained how these issues can get expensive, depending on the issue, but didn't mandate a high price just to walk in the door. After an initial charge of the time looking at the vehicle, they will call you before spending more time or doing the necessary work. For my truck, they found that the 2 back drains for the sunroof were never hooked up at all! The headliner was removed, the mold cleaned up, and they hooked up the drains--and I didn't need to replace the sunroof (which we almost did from the first mobile visit). After we found another leak up under the dash area, on the floor next to the door, these guys looked at it again for me and resealed around the sunroof--the drain tubes were fine. They explained that I will need a new "sunroof track assembly" at some point in the future (it will eventually get dry and crack, but a new one should last for about 10 years). I really appreciate the EXCELLENT service from A.C.C. and that they were willing to work on my lifted truck! The charges were very reasonable too. I highly recommend them! :) read more
