Today was my lucky day because today is the day I walked into Pacific Auto Body (on Airport Way). I had a minor scratch on my SUV from a collision with a yellow rail. Super minor job, and I wondered if they could fix it quickly and simply. And they did! Shoutout to Nick who so kindly drove out to a different location to pick up a buffer and cleaning material to get the yellow paint off. It worked like a charm and all the paint stains came off. Got my Tesla rear ended in April and was able to take it to this shop in July (many places for EV repairs were pretty booked out so this was the soonest). Phenomenal job on the repair and I had the pleasure of working with Norman throughout the whole process. From start to finish, he was very transparent and communicated well with me on a timely manner on behind the scenes/new updates. The car repair had some delays due to some backordered parts but that can't be helped at times with the high demand for Tesla parts. Can't stress enough how well the whole process went especially since he helped handle any communication with insurance. It was good knowing that my car was in good hands with them. Really they should get zero stars! I have MINOR DAMAGE on my Model 3 - minor dent in right back quarter panel and a broken light. They wanted - wait for it - $10,000 for the repair!!! Are you kidding me? Photos attached for proof. This was absolutely silly. The guy even had a straight face! Detailed estimate showed $800 in parts (?? This was a very frustrating experience. After a minor (3mph) bump into my Tesla Y's backend (the other driver was at fault), his Progressive insurance estimated $3K for repair and said it would be fully covered. I took the car to Pacific Auto Body. After over a week, Pacific called to tell me the repair would cost almost $13K! They also said the other driver's insurance would only cover $10K, and I was on the hook for the rest. I told them this seemed ridiculously expensive (4x the estimate) for a minor scratch and I'd like to get my car back. They said it would cost $2K to get it back because they'd need to "rebuild" the car. So they were basically holding my car hostage. I was forced to either pay the extra or make an underinsured motorist claim on my insurance policy (Farmer's). I made the claim and Farmer's covered the full cost of the repair. After 8 weeks waiting for the repair to complete, I found out that Pacific charged Farmer's just over $10K for the repair. They were going to charge me $2.5K more than they received from Farmer's! This experience was terrible. Pacific Auto Body basically held my car hostage, then tried to overcharge me, then held my car for almost 2 months. What a nightmare, all starting with a 3mph bump to the back left of the car. I will never take a car to Pacific Auto Body again. read more

When a 17-year-old kid plowed his dad's car into my new Tesla Model 3, I was an emotional wreck. Fortunately, the Tesla Service Center recommended I contact Pacific Auto Body for the repairs. Moments into my conversation with General Manager Tripp Mathes, I knew everything was going to be okay. Tripp told me exactly what to expect in the repair process, which he warned could take up to two months due to delays in getting replacement parts from Tesla. He contacted me every week by phone or email to update me on the repair progress. He answered every one of my gazillion questions. He was always calm, positive, and reassuring. He worked closely with the insurance company of the guy whose kid rear ended my car and everything insurance-related happened behind-the-scenes, yet with regular updates. When the loaner car company asked for their car back a month early, Tripp stepped in to help negotiate an extension. Tripp is not the only hero in this saga. Everyone I worked with at Pacific Auto Body was professional and solution-oriented - with special thanks to Linda, who had to patiently explain to me (more than once) how the whole insurance claim process worked. I just picked up my car - a month earlier than originally estimated - and Tripp was there to handle the handoff of my flawlessly repaired, sparkling clean, fully charged Tesla Model 3. There was still dust from the repair, and the clear coat didn't look good at all. After another week, they agreed to fix my car again. Once again, I was let down. I took my Tesla Model 3 to Pacific Auto after being rear ended. John was my service manager and was a professional, courteous, and clear through the entire process. During the estimate, John walked me through the damage explained the work they would need to do and set expectations on times. John worked with the insurance company and sped through the process. The insurance adjuster also commented how John was fast, detailed, and accurate in submitting the required adjustments. When I dropped off my car during the start of the epidemic, they helped work with Enterprise to move my car rental to be dropped off at the shop rather than me having to go pick it up. While being repaired, John gave me weekly updates. The repair was completed over a week prior to the estimated completion date. Pickup was an easy process, I traded my rental car keys for my car key and John walked me through the repairs. The repairs looked perfect. I was anxious about my new car being damaged and dealing with an auto repair shop (especially a Tesla where I have read about horror stories), but I can fully recommend Pacific Auto Body. read more

He gave me his card, told me to come back on June 12th. Phil Smart referred me to Pacific Auto Body when I had a fender bender and I needed the hood and front bumper replaced on my Mercedes. Pacific was nice enough to pick up my vehicle from Phil Smart. A day or two later they gave me an estimate: $2500. I told them I didn't need it to be perfect, as I was paying cash, so they knocked it down to $2300 or so. They said it would be ready Tuesday (3 work days later). I called them on Tuesday. While they had received the parts, they hadn't done the work yet. I'd be able to pick it up on Friday. On Friday, I came to pick it up. I looked over the itemized bill and they were charging me $500 for taking off the rockers and bolting them back on. The rockers are the piece below the side doors. They have nothing to with the front. I'm so glad I caught that!!! After some head-scratching, honest or not, they removed it from my bill. They said they'd call me on Monday about it, but they never did. OK, so they can't do schedules, and they charge for stuff they didn't need / didn't do. But the ultimate reason for my 1-star review is the quality of the work. The new hood simply does not line up with the body. Check out the pictures I uploaded. Michael was incredibly approachable and responsive, and drafted up a quote for me within 10 minutes! He also took the time to explain in detail the rationale for each quoted expense and went above and beyond in giving me advice on some alternative options as well. I had previously engaged another nearby auto shop to get their opinion and still hadn't heard back with a quote days later, so Michael's prompt and friendly service was such a breath of fresh air. I did not have a good experience with Pacific Auto Body. I had fairly minimal damage to my Tesla, but because of their incompetence, it took over two months for them to finish. Things just dragged on and on. When I'd call the insurance company, I was usually told that they were waiting on something from PAB. I'd have to call PAB to light a fire, and only then would they provide the required info. During the 2+ months, guess how many times PAB called me to provide an update about the status of my car? Zero. That's right. Every single communication with PAB involved ME calling THEM first. In addition, they always had trouble pulling up my record. Even when they figured out my name was spelled incorrectly, the person failed to update the record, so this continued to happen. Very frustrating. When they did find my record, they never knew the status of my car. I'd always have to wait for "Cece" to call me back with an update. You'd think they'd have some kind of CRM to keep track of customer info, but apparently not. When I got the car back, there was a rattle in the dashboard that wasn't there before. When I called about it, I was told that they didn't even open the dashboard area. I call BS on that, because the cover around the steering wheel was not attached and is still not attached. Worse yet, when I needed my spare tire, it was not there. The tire is kept in the frunk, along with my jack. The accident involved the front of the car, and I could not open the frunk after the accident, otherwise I'd have removed the wheel. The wheel and tire were in the frunk at the time of the accident (there's no possible other place they could be stored). When I called about this, they claimed they never saw it. So I was without my Tesla for 2+ months and incurred a very large rental car bill ($1500). I'm without my spare wheel ($750), and steering wheel cover is not attached (why was this detached if they didn't mess with the dash?) In my opinion, Tesla has done themselves a serious disservice by partnering with the company. This place is completely disorganized. read more

Conclusion first: Best Tesla repair shop in town! My car was rear ended and I had to take it to a body shop. 1. On my estimation day, My estimator Tripp provided me for a very accurate quote, which is only a bit off with the actual cost. He didn't just throw random numbers, but spending efforts to help the customers. 2. After I told them I will be repairing my car there, they started to engage with insurance immediately and having parts ordered from Tesla already which absolutely reduced the waiting time for me. 3. The shop also proactively updated me with the status every two or three days closing to the end, which was very responsible and customer centric. I have took my Tesla to a different shop before, where it repairs expensive cars like Bentley and Ferrari etc. However, the experience and quality of work provided by Pacific auto was superior to the another one. Great body shop and a great crew. Got in a little fender bender in my Mazda 3 and a friend of mine recommended this shop to get the repairs done. I was a little leery about the repairs because my car has a 4 stage pearlescent paint that is difficult to match. Cici and her team reassured me that my car would look good as new once the repairs were complete. It took almost two weeks for the repairs to get done but the bumper was special order. After circling the block a few times, I call and ask if there is a place for me to park and get an estimate. The answer was "on the street if you can find a spot." Apparently, I was supposed to walk a few blocks away, then have their estimator walk with me back to my car. In freezing temps. When it is starting to snow. Pacific Auto Body repaired my Tesla after it was struck by an errant motorist. There are three aspects to a Tesla repair -- the quality of the repair, the procurement of the necessary parts, and the communication of status. The repairs I received were top quality. Pacific Auto Body knows how to fix a Tesla. The issue is that procuring Tesla parts is a black hole, where things that should take days end up taking weeks or months. It's natural to blame the shop for that, but it is largely outside of their control. Against that backdrop, communication is key. While I received clear feedback on status when I reached out Adam, there was no proactive communication, which I understand but it is not ideal. Once they received parts they moved quickly to get the job done. The team has a hard job when it comes to Tesla repairs. They understanding accountability for what they can control, and I think they did a good job in that regard. read more

Pacific Auto Body did an astounding job fixing the fender on my Honda. I took my car to several body shops along I-5 to try and get an estimate. But most places only wanted to pop the dent and paint the bumper. Pacific made sure to give me their estimate as well as the timeframe to expect my car back while ensuring that the repair work will be with new parts instead of used, or aftermarket parts other places often use to keep costs low. As a dancer I'm always on the go so finding a place that will help me feel great about the repair work on my car is really endearing. If I plan to spend good money on a good and well working car, then I expect to see, or feel, the effort as well. Very poor communication (no email responses, rude and irresponsible receptionist), terrible estimates and apparently super slow staff. I had to wait for over a month to have a minor dent and a broken rear mirror (no exaggerations here) repaired, where they originally estimated 5 to 10 business days. I felt very insulted by the way they postponed my car's work over and over, gave me poor estimates and kept giving promises they couldn't quite deliver. To be fair, Adam offered an apology when I finally picked up the car, which I appreciate. IMO they need to give more accurate estimates and have a better receptionist who actually cares about customers. read more

Unfortunately after I had someone rear end me on I-5. I called the dealership to ask for a recommendation for a Body Shop they recommended Pacific Auto Body. They are a Certified Mercedes Collision Repair Shop which made me feel better. My car took a bit longer than I wanted to but alas it is not their fault as I was working with the other person's insurance company and insurance companies typically want to spend as little as possible when they first pay out a claim and then add supplements to the claim which takes time for the adjustor to come out again and then order more parts (but this was not Pacific Auto Body's fault-it is the world of claims and insurance). Cici was super nice! When I called she was really nice-finding information for me and getting estimates on when the car would be finished. There was about a 24 hour turnaround for emails but nothing too long (it is a busy shop!). When my car was done she did call me right away to let me know I could pick it up, unfortunately I wasn't able to pick up my car that day so we scheduled it for the next day. I told her when I would be there and my car was waiting right up in the front. They were kind enough to put the new plates on the car (Cici even called me to make sure it was ok to place the plates on the front and the back of the car-they took care of even the little things!). I also dealt with Farrah who works at the front desk area she always is busy but never too busy to speak to a client. When I called she was always very pleasant and I never felt I was putting her out. Before I dropped off my car to Pacific she emailed me to set up a good time and date-she was kind enough to tell me an estimate of how many cars were in front of mine. When I dropped off my car she was kind enough to call the Rental Car company to come and bring my rental car to me at the shop and kept me abreast of the timing. When I came into the shop she was never cold or unwelcoming it was like talking to your friend (if that is possible at an auto repair shop?!). When I came and picked up my car she asked me if she wanted Cici or one of the employees to come out there with me to look over the repairs-I declined but she said if anything was wrong to give them a call. There is a little hiccup on my repair-When I emailed Cici about it she apologized and I told her I would send pictures (I think it may just need a slight adjustment). Super nice. The waiting room was also pleasant. The waiting room was clean-There were couches and seating and snacks (Candy, fruit, popcorn...) for you to munch on in case you do have to wait for one thing or another. I know that snacks aren't the end all be all of a body shop but you can tell they take the time to think of even the little things...Everyone who works there was super friendly (regardless if they are working with you directly or not). Fair warning-Back Angle Park!!! The city of Seattle does ticket on this street for not back angle parking! The area where the shop is-is a bit hectic...Not their fault it is what it is-There is Tesla Dealer across the street that takes up quite a few spaces and a lot of other speciality shops on the same street. The day I dropped my car off I had the worst time parking so I just double parked my car on the side of the street-I was going to run in and ask them where I should leave my car-an employee must have seen me and came from inside and met me before I even hit the door and asked me if I was dropping off a car I told him I was but didn't know where to park...he kindly asked me if he minded if he parked my car for me so I wouldn't get a ticket (I do not know the name of this gentleman but I had seen him there on my visit before-dark hair and I believe a mustache-he was very kind to me the first time I came in and clearly even kinder the second time). When I got my car back-The inside was clean! It had the paper floor-mats in it and nothing had been changed or moved like the radio stations or items in the car. I can tell that they had washed the car but the area where the Body Shop is very dusty so while it was clean it had a little layer of dust on it (not a big deal). They took really good care of my brand new car during the whole process and treated me very well. Come to this shop. I had a dent in my 2004.5 Volvo S40 T5 passenger door. It's difficult to give them a review because there were lots of great parts: the quality of work is great and I was happy they detailed my vehicle. I didn't love that it took forever (3 full weeks to replace my door.....) and every time the receptionist said she would call me back I never heard from her. Like never heard from her. Estimate was off the mark, communication was sparse until we were bombarded with several calls a day for payment, even though we INFORMED THEM BEFOREHAND that we were GOING TO BE OUT OF TOWN with spotty reception/service. They refusing to release the vehicle to Tesla directly across the street for a checkup, THEN tried to overcharge us, dismissing the deposit put down at drop-off. I understand this is one of 3(!) certified shops in WA, but we will be taking our Tesla S and X to any other shop and communicating this experience to other Tesla owners. read more

I brought my car to PAB to have the front bumper, drivers side door and right rear quarter panel repainted. They took a little longer than I expected to do the work, but the car looked great after they were done. Some of the paint came off of the front bumper within about 72 hours, but they had me bring the car back to look it over. It took a little convincing to have them repaint the bumper, but they did repaint it at no cost to me. The owner of PAB is a good guy and I can tell he takes pride in his work, and he wants to do the right thing for his customers.
