I went to this place of business to ask about a cover that had a lock for my scooter, (it has a push button start) "Joey" showed me on his computer a nice box and he said he will put a lock on it. He charged me $299.00, $175.00 for the "custom" cover and $110.00 for labor plus tax. After a year later due to a problem with "Joey and his Son" making excuses as to not having the part in and that I tried to dispute the charge (in which made Joey very upset). Joey told me to "come back next week" and he will put the cover and lock on. Today (04/22/2026) he put it on my bike holding it on with tie wraps, it didn't even look like the picture he showed me on his computer! Anyone can remove the box, I really thought this place of business is all about Security and a Locksmith?! I have second thoughts with the type of contraption I was left with! I went to get a key for my Honda. Paid more than if I had gone to the dealer. The key had the buttons where I had to use my fingernail to push way down on the button. I went back and said the buttons were farther down than the original. He said, if so, I had an off market key. This was the original key that came with the car when it was new and no it wasn't off key (Lie #2). Lie #1 was when he couldn't find a record of my having bought the key with him. When I went back the second time, I showed him my record of paying him. Now this time, he said if I wanted the buttons to be up where I could just press on them, I should buy a different type of key fob. Which, foolish me did which cost more of course. So after spending a total of a ittle more than $700, I received a key I could work with. Also, I was at this place for a long time as it wasn't put together right. The person had to take it apart redo the inside and reglue. I should have walked out the first time and needless to say, I will never go back to this place. Maybe because I'm a woman and not of the right ethnicity and of course gender, I got taken. So buyer beware is why I'm writing this. Failed to provide a written quote for simple key lock changes in my new home, then charged me $3,800 for 6 new locks + 4 keys. All we asked for was for him to change the locks...he said that he adjusted the doors (not that we can tell), then said he would follow me to the bank when my bank debit card would only allow me to withdraw $1,000 during one 24 hour period (I got the bank to give me a one-time ability to pay the full amount). He claimed to be a friend of our realtor (who we really like), so I did not wish to create a scene. He stood there and held out his payment device until I finally gave him a $100 tip just to leave. In my opinion, he is a capable locksmith, but a poor quality human being, who prays on older people. I will never trust him again. read more

Update: we had all three door knobs and deadbolts removed that AllCity installed as he had the keys to our house and was threatening to us on the phone. We called another Locksmith to come out and they were appalled with the work done and could not believe we were charged $3,725.00 for the work. They only charged us @400 and spent much more time fixing the hole left and replaced every knob and deadbolt. Here are both receipts for the same work!!!! Do not use All City, he is a scam artist and we are giving him the opportunity now to either give us our money back (we have all his so called high tech knobs-will give them back) or we will get every news station to make sure this happens to no one else. I ordered an extra car remote, and guess what? He charged me more than a dealership and was even not able to program my car. Because my car was blocked programmed. I understood that, but he charged me the programmed fee. He said he spent two coins? to connect the machine to my car, so no matter what, he said he had to charge the fee. Ok, I got it. But if he would mentioned it before about there would be the chance that my car might not be able to programmed, i would've just gone to the dealership right away. So I paid the full pay of the remote key and programmed fee, and I still had to go to the dealership for programming and pay $220 additionally. Total I ended up paying more than $800 for the one car extra remote key. Ah! I gave him the tips more than $50, and he didn't even call me when my key was ready. I waited more than a week. Of course I wanted to have a top quality lock, I needed some keys copied and they copied them quickly cheaply and efficiently. They're very pleasant to work with. They can do car keys I just had a house key. Other locksmiths wouldn't give me the time of day. They have a nice storefront right off of Fort Apache easy to find. I highly recommend that you consider these guys for any of your lock needs they can 7come to your car or house or for more efficiently if you bring a lock to them they can fix it there. BEWARE WARNING this company " Joey " is a complete crook ! He came to open one lock and proceeded to tell us the keypad is old and needs to be replaced and went around the 5 doors and told us two other dead bolts need to be replaced " for security reasons" He quoted $400 each dead bolt which seemed very high but I agreed. Upon my return, he presents a bill for $3,879.79 ??? He said he replaced 4 dead bolts and rekeyed two cylinders.. a total of 6... we only have 5 doors. He charged my credit card $3,879! I called and emailed " Joey" numerous times. I finally called another locksmith who installed one new dead bolt... apparently AllCity only replaced ONE (1) dead bolt and rekeyed the other locks... he lied and charged me for 3 dead bolts... and then charged $49 each for two keys ?? The invoice was hand written which was indecipherable. I did dispute the charge to my credit card company but Allcity is stating no return no refunds. I have filed suit in small claims court, reported LV Elder abuse, Yelp post, and calling all realtors in our neighborhood and warn them of this crook. One realtor I talked to recognized the name and agreed she had a bad experience with him and he was very rude to her. Please find another lock and key shop to go to. I needed a new key as my fob stopped working to lock/unlock my car. We had to wait an hour for the son to show up and help us, who we had talked to on the phone and was very abrupt and pushy. During this time the dad had opened up my fob and tried another battery - I was told that the whole fob was no good and I needed another one. He also said that he would re-cut my original key because the ridges were getting very dull. This way I would have a spare key, too, which the dealer would not do for me. They quoted something like $320. I called The dealer while all this was going on and was quoted $280. Ok, whatever, I'll help a mom and pop shop.... the key took a week and a half to come in and I had to call to inquire - they never called me. Also not very accommodating to when I can pick it up - they have short hours of operation. Finally I go pick up my new key two weeks later.... the guy goes out to my car and after 10 mins of fiddling with it he tells me that there is an error with my computer and the key won't work. Best possible scenario is I use the new key fob to open doors and old one to drive car. WHAT?! Oh. Hell. No. When I say that is not what I paid for he got loud, abrupt, and argumentative. I asked to just cancel the transaction and he said no, he had already paid for the key and spent time to do the programming. It's not my fault his diagnoses was wrong!! This new key was supposed to fix my problem and give me a spare key. He did try one more thing which worked, he took the chip out of the new key fob and put it in my old fob. It works, but there is still an "error with my computer" or he didn't diagnose it properly and it was a bad chip? Not sure. The extra key I was promised does not work either. All in all, I got what I wanted but there are so many questions left unanswered and not all of the things he promised were given, there was poor customer service, and I left feeling like my car is Jimmy rigged. He told her about a whole bunch of stuff about the crime rate and how her home and her could be in danger to scare her into an up sale.. she ended up buying new locks for house. This is not where the problem lies.$400 she was told for the install, he came out to do the install was there for approximately two hours change seven locks didn't reinforce the jams or do any of the things that he was saying just installed locks and then billed her for 13 hours of labor at $400 an hour! Ran her debt card for over $5,000!! Her family thought it was a mistake and went to the shop to have this corrected.. he said there had not been a mistake and that was his charges!
