All City tires & auto is a small auto shop right off sunrise highway ( they also do body work). The people are friendly and do their best to get you in and out. Cons: small location so parking is limited and no off street parking either. Pros: if they can't accommodate you in a timely manner then they will phone their sister property cross island- a 10 min drive away to see if they can take you. The receptionist is a very nice guy and always wears a smile. Rip off joint. Stopped by due to a serpentine belt slipping off and tensioner locking up on a Jeep Commander 3.7. This was the first shop I reached...didn't want to push any farther and overheat and/or battery died. BIG Mistake!!! Quotes me 300. I agree despite cost being high in my eyes. I go for a walk and 30 minutes later, truck is done. Invoice shows 550+ tax. He said parts were $300 not the total. Do not go here you will be ripped off. I was in a jam and they took advantage of it. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB. By the way, parts for this job are about $100 and 1 hr labor. Not $300 for parts and $250 for labor. Stay clear away from this crooked establishment! My son hit a pothole and then caught a flat tire, he had the tire changed at a gas station and afterward, he heard a noise coming from the car. Assuming the pothole caused some damage he took his car into All City Tire & Auto in Rosedale, NY. The car was put on a lift ($65.27) and he was told that the strut was "Broken" and it would cost $650 to repair. My son left the shop without the pricey repair. A week later he took the car to a reputable mechanic who put it on the lift and noticed that there was NO damage. There were no broken struts underneath the car. The mechanic stated that when the tire was changed, the wrong size rims were placed on the front tire hence the noise. The trustworthy mechanic switched out the rims and the car is back to running perfectly fine for less than a hundred bucks. All City Tire & Auto makes it a practice to deceive and rob unsuspecting customers! Do not give them your money, they deserved to be out of business!!!! read more

I came to this location to get an oil change at the beginning of the quarantine just because my car needed one and they offered a free car wash with an Oil change. I figured it's was no harm done killing two birds with one stone. I wasn't particularly pressed for time but the guys seem to work pretty efficiently and quickly. After a few minutes of sitting there I hear the gentleman working on my car adjusting the bolts on my tires which was strange to me because I only came in for an oil change. When the mechanic was finished with my car he told me I needed a new tires and it couldn't wait, trying to rush me into buying tires. I kindly declined because I knew that my car would be sitting for at least two months due to quarantine and recognized this wasn't an urgent purchase. I went on about my day. Fast forward to mid July, My car is making this very strange/loud tapping noise and I know without a doubt that there's nothing wrong with it because I recently had it inspected and all the bells and whistle's should have been working just fine. I take it to my actual mechanic and he can't seem to find a problem with the engine or anything else so he starts to look elsewhere to see where the noise is coming from. He then realizes that all four of my tires had loose bolts. Imagine my surprise and frustration knowing that the gentleman at the shop we're so pressed for me to purchase tires that they made it seem like my tires were faulty in hopes that I would come back to this location to have my tires changed. All in all I take full responsibility looking to save a couple dollars by getting an oil change and a car wash together But please be aware of this establishments shady practices. I am very thankful that I found out in time and didn't experience an accident due to this horrendous lapse in ethics. read more

I went to this place years ago to get my belt replaced on my car and my iPod touch was stolen out of my car. The mechanic claims that he never knew it was there but it's my mistake for trusting that they wouldn't take anything. When they were done with my car, they left it on the sidewalk unlocked. I walked back from the mall to see a group of kids standing next to my car on the sidewalk. So I'm not sure if the shop stole it or someone walking by took it but the responsibility would fall on the shop for leaving my car unlocked and unattended. I called the shop to ask what happened to my iPod and he says " oh maybe you lost it or thought you put it in there because I didn't see anything". Yea right!! I was looking to get an oil change and this place came up and i will continue to look else where because I cannot trust this place AT ALL. read more

BEWARE!!! These mechanics completely misdiagnosed the problem with my car and tried to charge me $1600.00 for a new exhaust. Fortunately, I went to a different mechanic for a second opinion and they charge me $70.00 to fix the problem. I will NEVER do business with All City Tire & Auto again! read more
