The windshield replacement here literally means they'd ONLY do that. It's not their problem when molding has be broken to replace windshield. 2. Apparently, molding needs to be taken off to replace windshield. My driver's side molding was not broken but the installation (putting molding back to where it was) was a joke. 3. You get what you pay for: $310 for windshield replacement ONLY. The technician did offer to install new molding free of charge, however, he asked me to buy parts on eBay myself. I really don't know about those 5 stars experience but how I would know what to buy?! I don't want to go back to there for "free molding installation" because I don't play games anymore. First round of quotes from multiple Subaru dealers were 1000+. I had initially had my heart set on OEM glass only, but decided because I barely drive the car that I'd let that go. Trust Auto Glass was able to accommodate a Saturday afternoon, so I made the appointment. Tech reached out and let me know he was running a little bit late, told him no worries. He showed up, did the windshield in under an hour, and everything looked good. Let it set for a couple of days and took it out for a spin. The glass is perfectly clear, no distortion, no strange wind noise. Would not hesitate to have them do any of my other cars.

It was cracked at the top and covered in scratches. I pulled over to inspect the work further and noticed a large gap between the windshield and the plastic trim. The windshield had not been properly sealed or glued into place. I immediately returned to the store and showed the manager the issues. He seemed surprised, which was concerning. I don't understand how a manager would allow a vehicle to leave the premises without inspecting the completed work. More importantly, if there had been a problem during the repair, it should have been disclosed to me before I paid for a job that was clearly not completed correctly. This experience feels dishonest and has left me wondering if there may be additional damage to my vehicle that I have not yet discovered. The manager said he would order a replacement rearview mirror and correct the installation issues, but now I'm left waiting even longer to have my car properly repaired. After spending four hours there and leaving with more damage than when I arrived, I cannot recommend Safelite based on my experience. To make matters worse, I had to call customer service myself to find out that they cannot locate replacement parts for the damage they caused. The manager never contacted me to provide an update or explain the situation. In addition to damaging my rearview mirror, the technicians did not put the wiring back the way it was originally installed and left wires hanging out. They also left a large gap between the windshield and the exterior plastic trim at the bottom of the windshield. This gap can collect debris and water and raises concerns about the quality and safety of the installation. My Audi TT is a well-maintained, garage-kept vehicle that is only driven occasionally and has been carefully cared for. I trusted Safelite with my car and paid for a professional repair. Instead, I left with a damaged vehicle, an improperly installed windshield, and no clear resolution. I am extremely upset and disappointed that I paid for a service that left my car in worse condition than when I brought it in.
