I had a terrible gutter problem on the second floor of my balcony. Literally, a plant was growing out of it. Johnny came explained what he would do to remedy the problem, how much he would charge and explained how to avoid future problems. Now, I realize gutters are not on top of most people's minds in general... Until you have a problem. Johnny not only showed when he said, he called to confirm. I was looking for a company to rehang my rain Gutter that was hanging precariously after a recent California rainstorm. I called several companies listed on Yelp that had very good reviews. I was really impressed with Johnny. He is one of a kind. He called me back within minutes. He was able to be at my home within 20 minutes. He evaluated the job and was able to start and finish that same day. He explained everything, was very detailed in his work and he really goes the extra mile. BEWARE! We selected Johnny because he had all good reviews on Yelp, but it turned out to be a mistake. Johnny came out to clean our gutters approx. 3-4 weeks ago and first off he charged us $100 more than he quoted us on the phone, well...ok maybe he did more work than he anticipated but still he should have let us know it was going to be an additional cost. Second, he left his extension ladder here. He left it propped up against the house in my backyard. There are a couple problems with this - first and foremost I have a 3 year old and a 4 year old and they play in the backyard - they could have seriously gotten hurt by his negligence. It is a good thing I saw the ladder left in the yard before they did. I called Johnny right away to let him know he left his ladder here and he said he is getting a new one, we can give it away or put it out with the trash. I don't know about your areas but our area doesn't accept items like this as trash. I told him he needed to come pick up his ladder. A week later I called him back and asked him when he was planning to pick up his ladder. He again said I should dispose of it for him. I gave him another week. He still did not pick up the ladder, so I left him a message saying if the ladder was not picked up within the next week I was going to leave a negative review on Yelp. To date, the ladder is still here on my side yard. I don't know about you but I don't need the aggravation of having someone else's rubbish. Now on top of the extra $100 he charged me I am going to have to pay to have his garbage removed. read more

WOW! Johnathan at All Clear Raingutter steps up above and beyond just fixing rain gutters and taking care of his customers! After every rain, there would be a ton of water underneath my garage door inside the garage. Thinking it was the seal on the garage door, I had that replaced. Nope, fixed part of the problem but water still flooded inside. After searching Yelp and reading the reviews, I decided to call All Clear Raingutter. Johnathan, the owner, answered the phone and was out in 3 days. Not only did he repair my rain gutter that was leaking, he also flushed everything out and made sure that the gutter in the back was working properly! Then...comes above and beyond. After sharing my hobby of saving the monarch butterflies and picking up a few caterpillars off the ground to put them back on the plant, Johnathan actually found a caterpillar later during the day and "saved" it! Our gutters were FULL of debris from a few years of neglect and he cleared and rebalanced the gutters and all areas on the roof of debris. He even replaced a fallen window screen from the second floor that he had to bring an especially tall ladder back for. Afterward, the property was spotless--not a leaf to be found on the roof or ground. He filled two large garbage bins of debris. His bill was exactly between the low/high he gave for the estimate over the phone. I heard he is doing carpet cleaning as well. I will be sure to use him for that, too. He was a bit late for our appointment, but I am not going to hold this again him and deduct a star, since he did call ahead of time. Not only did he clean the gutters, but also hammered in the nails, which weren't fully inserted. Just had Johnny come out and clean the gutters, which were atrocious to begin with! There were actually live plants growing in them, they were so overloaded with crap. We had just purchased the house and had it tented for termites, leaving the gutters loose in some places and not sloping correctly. Johnny pulled several large piles of crud out of the gutters by hand, fixed the loose gutters and made sure they all had the correct slope, washed everything down and made sure the downspouts were clear, and then cleaned everything up. There wasn't enough room in my trash cans so he had to leave a few piles in the side yard, but he secretly came back on his own time and cleaned them up when I wasn't looking! Wow. AND he even trimmed back some of the plants that were overgrown and crowding the gutters and hanging over the front sidewalk. I will definitely use him for regular gutter clean out a few times a year, and I hear he does windows too. So he will be my guy! My job took almost double the time than he originally thought, but he only charged me a bit more than he quoted before really getting up there and seeing how bad it was. Bottom line: look nowhere else. I'm sure there are other good businesses out there but I have to tell you, the Yelp reviews nailed this one because Johnny is awesome. He cleared out gutters that had over a decade of sediment and leaf/branch buildup (he actually showed me the buckets of debris he cleared out and much of it was solid dirt). Not only that, he also adjusted the gutters that had become loose and wrongly angled, and checked all my roof tiles while he was up there. Johnny is hands down one of the best contractors we've ever hired period. During the latest rains we noticed our gutters were clogged, and water had been leaking behind the facia and flashing, causing damage to the wood and stucko. It was a complicated situation envolving a number of issues.
