I called Ken at All County Septic Service to do an inspection and pump for a house in Monroe before selling it. Pro - Ken was able to come out the same day. Con - Everything else. My first impression was that Ken was a bit cocky. I also heard him talking down to his employee. Later Ken told me "This guy has been working for me for 2 years and still doesn't know English." If this guy has been working for you for 2 years and you haven't done something to help him with his English, it's not shame on him, it's shame on you Ken! Ken came out and took a look at my system. In my drainfield I have 8 observation ports at the end of my lateral lines. These weren't exposed and brought up to the surface and Ken quoted me $1250 to locate those. I decided I was there and I have a shovel and with a little bit of Ken's direction I found 4 out of the 8 locations. With his help, and me digging with his guy, we found the last 4 ports. When it came time to pay the bill, Ken still insisted I pay the $1250 to locate all those ports. I told him that I found 4 of them myself, and 4 more with his help. So I did 6/8 of the work. He still wanted to charge me the full price. He told me that he said that he's charging me the $1250 whether he locates them or I do. First of all, he never said that. Second of all, that's unethical. What a jerk. After going back and forth on whats fair, we settled on half that price even though I did more than half the work. And he acted pissed off about it. Ken also said I needed extensive repairs on my system: New 1/2 horsepower pump and float and all the wiring and connections $2950 Jet the laterals to clean blockages $1250 Risers to bring the ports to ground level surface $1250 I tried to negotiate on the price a bit and he said forget it, he doesn't negotiate and now he's not interested in doing the work for me. I paid him for the work he had done and he left. I called a different licensed bonded and insured septic company and they came out a few days later - Greenworks of Washington. Over the phone they quoted me a price of a new pump at a little under $1000. About 1/3 the price of what Ken at All City quoted! When the technician came out, they told me my pump was running fine and I didn't need a new pump! They jetted out all the blockages for $365 instead of the $1250 All City wanted to charge me. They installed risers to all my ports for $35 each, which totaled $280 instead of the $1250 All City wanted to charge me. In total, they saved me more than $4000 from what Ken at All City was charging. Summary - Use Greenworks of Washington. Don't call Ken at All County Septic Service.

I had worked down the list of septic designers in Kitsap County with no satisfaction until I hit the "N's". When I dialed Nuckels construction, there was no voice mail or stonewalling. Holly Nuckels answered the phone and immediately instilled confidence with a line of questioning and suggestions that demonstrated a profound understanding of septic technology and process. She promised to take on my project immediately and see everything through to completion. She and Brent were on site within a day and all my cares and worries evaporated! They cleared the existing failed field to a degree that held us through the permitting and construction arc. This was a complex, extensive replacement that including rehoming the entire drain field. Naturally I expected a lot of disruption to the landscaping, but was amazed at the care the crew took to try to preserve any established planting in the impacted area and to carefully remove all debris and level and tidy up the site in preparation for my landscape restoration. The employee they sent out pumped my system and told me that another employee would need to come out and do a diagnostic appointment. He also pulled out all the floats from the last tank. He put those floats back in the tank unattached to anything so all float to the top of the effluent. He also warned that I would only have around thirty days to use my system. I did not understand at the time the float system and his time frame. I spoke with Tabitha about scheduling this diagnostic appointment. She stated they wouldn't have time until the 30th. I explained I would need another afternoon appointment as I work during the day. She said that would be no problem. I received a phone call and voicemail from Tabitha on January 29th at 2pm stating her tech was is my driveway waiting with all the replacement parts. This was odd as I was told it was a diagnostic appointment. I received a second voicemail on January 30th at 3 pm, stating they wouldn't have time not be able to come out until late the next week. I have since done research into my As Built. Klein Septic knew the problem and exacerbated it by removing the floats from the pvc pipe. They then contacted the county health department stating my pump is non operational on January 14th. It's been so long now I will need to have my system pumped again just to fix the floats and see what other problems were created by Klein's initial visit. I will also need to work with the county to get this bogus report removed from my property. At this point I feel Klein is dragging their feet to enhance profit by needing to pump the system to undo the floats from damage and charge for any extra services and products as much as possible. UPDATE!!! Five stars!!! Ken from Klein came out immediately and rectified the entire situation. Fixed the floats, explained my entire septic system and what had occurred. He said the report to county would be changed as well. Just a super knowledgeable person! Answered all of our questions and had a very positive attitude. Fabulous fabulous fabulous

Super fast service. The other outfit told me I had to contact a septic designer to get the job done. They also told me I needed a new drainfield!! Ripoff. Klein fixed the problem (a broken pipe) in an hour. The charge was very reasonable. I'll have them come out and clean my laterals in the coming months. These guys are GREAT! You can't go wrong.
