I originally called Randy to see if he sold specific types of clocks (English bracket). I had found one that I really liked at a charming antique store in Solvang, however the price was out of my budget. So I have been on the hunt to find something similar that is more in my price range. Randy let me know that he did not have anything similar and mostly just does repairs but told me I could send him a picture of the clock and that he could give me his thoughts on it. He also knew the owner of the shop of the clock I was interested in. After I sent the picture of the clock I saw in Solvang, Randy called me back and gave me his thoughts on the clock, and highly recommended the shop and shop owner in Solvang. He also inquired about having the Solvang shop reduce the price for me. Unfortunately, even with the reduction in price that was offered, the clock was still quite a bit beyond what I could pay and it didn't work out. That being said, I would 110% recommend doing business with this establishment. I did not purchase anything from Randy, yet he still took quite a bit of time to follow up with me, gave me detailed info (on an item that he wasn't even selling) and took it upon himself to call the other shop owner. He didn't try and sell me anything from his shop, only tried to encourage me to purchase the original clock I liked in Solvang. I had a very precious outdoor memorial clock custom made for my mother. Unfortunately, I had purchased the clock-works from Hammacher Schlemmer, one of the biggest scams in merchandising history, with outlandishly low-level quality items, and a bogus "lifetime warranty". However the face of the clock, and memorial plaque was what I wanted to keep. However, several clock repair shops said that they couldn't replace the clock "workings". However I did contact Randy Berning of All Clock Repair. He told me that he thought he could repair the clock and get it back to working order. I brought it over. Randy was a remarkably knowledgeable, and delightfully friendly and positive individual. He said that the clock-work mechanism that came from Hammacher Schlemmer was over very low quality, and wasn't the right one from the heavy hands of the clock. He worked diligently on it, and did find the proper clockworks and even was able to facilitate my request to keep the original backing to keep the workings waterproof for its outdoor display. His concern and skill were remarkable, and he was indeed able to bring my clock "back to life. His prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the work he put into this, and he was a joy to work with. My mother's memorial clock is now back in our special backyard garden, telling the time!
