I made an honest 3 star review on Google about a bad experience I had with one of the receptionists. Instead of rectifying the situation or improving, the owner/vet sent us a letter to terminate our "relationship" and instructed all staff not to see our pets. I was with them for over 6 years. Been on the hunt for a good vet since I moved to Oregon over a year ago. Had some negative experiences and finally went here since I always heard good things about it. So glad I did. Dr. Bailes is great. She's patient, caring and listens. She gives you all the information and doesn't pressure you to take all these tests like I've previously experienced here. They don't rush you or and make you feel like just another patient in a time slot. Their grounds are also the nicest I've been to for a vet. It's spacious inside and has a pleasant interior. We started taking our numerous pets to this clinic quite a few years ago when Dr. Thomas was the proprietor and sole vet. It was great. At some point a few years ago, she hired another vet, Dr. Vaughn, who is also a good vet. Several years ago, Dr. Vaughn bought the clinic and our experiences were very good initially. Our pets liked going to the veterinarian. However, since changing owners, the clinic has grown significantly, with a number of new vets and technicians and support staff working there. This expansion of the clinic has been accompanied by a decline in positive experiences and outcomes, at least for us. Now (mid 2021) we never see the same people twice; all sorts of new charges and fees get added to the bills, and a lot of scheduling and other mistakes seem to occur. During the pandemic, we've had to turn our pets over to a technician, who then returned them after the exam or procedure. We understand the issues related to the pandemic, but this is less than optimal for the pets. We rarely had any communication with an actual veterinarian, dealing only with the staff. It was like a game of telephone. On one occasion, we were given incorrect information by a staff member. When we finally did speak by phone with a veterinarian and relayed what we had been told, he said "I can't speak for what someone else told you." Really? They work for him, and are our main conduit for receipt of information about our pet's treatments or conditions. The enterprise appears to be more about maximizing throughput of appointments than about providing a comforting experience for the animals and their human owners. We are currently looking for an alternative clinic to care for our animals. It's too bad, because for many years we were happy to be clients of this clinic, even though it's a pretty long drive from out house. Unfortunately, Corvallis does not have many good alternative choices; before settling on this clinic we had tried most of the others in the area with less than notable satisfaction. read more

The front desk reception was so rude to me! She was the older lady with a short haircut and she needs an attitude check. I had asked her a simple question - she was snarky and made me feel dumb. Luckily one of the vet techs was there to answer my question in a very positive manner! I also believe that this is the lady I talked to over the phone, who rushed me when I had asked how much a neuter was. She didn't tell me until the second phone call(when I had asked why it was so expensive/what is included in the price) that there were extra things added to the price and I could choose to add/take away the services if I wanted (kinda shady). I regret purchasing the puppy package here and when that expires, I will shop around for another vet office. Update: I have gotten this settled and have revised my review based on the service I now get! They see my little Finn and every time they treat him so well! read more

I have been looking for a veterinarian that would get our kitten his nueter within a decent amount of time. I called and they are seeing us next day for an initial exam to set up his surgery. Incredible assist from receptionist and the exam is about 20 dollars less than others. Hmm perhaps all our animals should see Dr Thomas. So far so good. read more

Love, love, love this place. Super friendly staff and really great vets. The beet thing about this place is that they aren't pushy on meds or vaccines. They leave it up to you and I love that. Very little wait time, which was awesome. Prices are reasonable too. This is my new vet. read more

I feel really fortunate to have Dr. Thomas as a veterinarian. She's competent and caring and I think Carol, the receptionist, is pleasant and warm, too. The practice has the feel of an old-fashioned country vet and I've never had anything pushed at me nor have I been made to feel like I'm not a good person if I don't pull out all the stops for testing and care, which has happened to me at other vets' offices in town. I like the feeling of being partners with my vet in my pets' care and being presented all the options for care in a non-pushy way. I also think the prices are very good compared to average rates at vet clinics in Corvallis. (Note to Anna W.: If your puppy was in care for an entire day and you only paid $100, that is less expensive than similar check, observation and care that most other vet clinics in town would charge.) Not that price is everything but for many of us with multiple pets, having a nice, new facility with a competent vet and low prices is awesome! And finally, I want to say that I've been taking my rabbits to Dr. Thomas as well as my dog. Rabbit owners know that a good rabbit vet is hard to find. I think Dr. Thomas would be the first to say that she's more of a dog, cat and horse vet than a small exotics vet, but she's always been very helpful and has done a good job with various surgeries, including spays & neuters. For complex rabbit-related issues, I'd look for a vet who specializes in small exotics, but for spays/neuters and general checkups, Dr. Thomas is great. read more

Dr. Thomas and all her staff are remarkable. Have never seen an operation work so efficiently, with the sense that your pet is the only patient there. We had JUST picked up our Persian kitten & on the way home noticed he had a problem in the corner of his eye. We stopped at All Creatures before we even got home. His eye condition (Cherry Eye) required surgery. Dr. Thomas performed the surgery & a week later, he was doing better & able to remove the Cone of Shame :o\ He's in perfect shape Now he's the happy, goofy, curious, playful kitten that Persians are meant to be. .And thx to the staff for doting on him the entire time he was there. We are so relieved to have found them. we have had trouble with our dog and between moving and emergency appointments, our records ended up anywhere and we struggled to accurately convey all the information. We previously brought our pit mix to a different vet in Corvallis but after needing a fecal exam while visiting family in Washington, and having a cheaper and more pleasant experience at the clinic we happened to find, we decided to try a new vet in Corvallis as well. All Creatures was recommended by a friend who brings his two dogs there. The building feels really homey and safe, the prices are definitely better than our original vet, and best of all - the doctor and assistants genuinely love dogs and take care to greet their patient and get to know him. We've only been a client for a month or so now, and are already much happier with the choice. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful! I have searched around Corvallis for the past two years looking for a place I could take my two dogs. As a younger aged, college student I was feeling taken advantage of at other veterinarians, by not here. The doctor who saw both my dogs never rushed me and if a medication was recommended he did NOT push the most expensive one, he presented options and benefits that each offered. This experience left me feeling good about my animals health and feeling that I was genuinely taken care of. I feel very blessed to have heard of Dr. Thomas. Our cat became very sick over the weekend, probably after eating a sick bird. The emergency vet clinic helped with some initial tests but they were super expensive and the environment was more fancy and clinical with heavy metal music playing. Dr. Thomas got us in first thing Monday morning even though we were new patients and took excellent care of our kitty. He needed to be hospitalized for a few days and we loved how the staff all gave him so much loving attention and really kept close track of how he was doing. They let us come and visit him too, which meant a lot. Dr. Thomas is very experienced, a kind and loving person and really seemed to have good instincts for what was going on with Cosmo. She treated him with what was needed and didn't over do it. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and obviously a place where animals are really loved and cared for. Dr. Thomas makes herself as available as possible and her staff are all very helpful and kind. The prices were reasonable and that was important too. read more

We are retired so cost is a concern and they always take that into consideration when suggesting treatment. This isn't always the case with Vets in Corvallis. This is a wonderful clinic. The exam rooms are very comfortable and inviting. Dr. Vaughn sat down with me to discuss my dog's medical history and shot records. He was very thorough. He explained some of the unnecessary vaccines that my little Chloe would not need to renew. I appreciated his philosophy to not over vaccinate (or overcharge). He was also great with my little dog. The treats kept rolling in to keep her distracted and content. Ali was a great aide and happily endured the constant face licks while holding Chloe throughout the exam. The prices were very reasonable, and I was given a great rebate coupon to send in for her medications. Overall a great experience! read more

I took my 19 year old cat Dixie to All Creatures Great and Small for clumpy matted fur that covered about half her body. I had thought it was a cosmetic issue, but then found out it carries a serious risk of skin infection, which can be catastrophic in such elderly cats. Dr Bailes and her excellent team were competent, thorough, and calm. They greatly reduced my anxiety and Dixie's. They completely cleared the matting problem and sent me home with a kitty with soft and clean fur after about 30 minutes of working on her. Our lab has a wound on his leg and it started looking infected last night. We're new to town and we didn't have a vet yet. The receptionist was very friendly on the phone and initially said that they didn't have an appointment until tomorrow morning but was upfront that I should try other places so he could be seen right away. After putting me on hold for a minute, she asked if I could come in immediately. It means a lot that they cared so much for our dog that we were able to be seen on such short notice. Everyone that works there was super friendly and all seemed to be passionate about what they do. Their prices were great as well. They will definitely be our go-to from now on. read more

I've lived in this area for 32 years, with pets, and am so grateful to have discovered All Creatures Great & Small a few years ago; the entire staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgable. I've gotten to know everyone who works there, and they unfailingly show compassion and warmth to every animal I bring in -- whether it's for a routine vaccination, a major surgery, or a heartbreaking euthanasia. I used to take my dogs here for their vaccines and health check, but last time I came and waited for more than 50minutes just to get their blood samples, which only takes less than 10minutes to finish. Then they charged me $60 for brief exam fee because all the time they took. This vet clinic has been remodeled recently and is much bigger than before, but their attitude goes worse and the waiting time is much longer, and, more expensive. Won't be here anymore. I'm very regretted that I had recommended this vet clinic to my friends before. read more
