1 star. This company put my family in real danger, and the road to get here was its own ordeal. My original cooktop was fully working -- this was a voluntary upgrade, nothing was broken. This company's installer removed it to put in the new one, only to then discover the new unit was defective. I was left with no cooktop or stove for weeks while it got sorted out. I had already paid them for installation and for a required gas leak inspection, and for the permit -- which they pulled but never once gave me a copy of, despite me paying for it. Months later, the replacement cooktop was finally installed, after this second installation alone was delayed five separate times. No proper post-installation gas leak check was done. Two days later, my family came home from a weekend away to a house full of the smell of gas. We called National Grid. Technicians spent three hours checking the cooktop and all gas lines and confirmed a strong leak coming directly from this company's installation. My wife and I, with our 3-year-old and 9-year-old, had to wait outside in the car until midnight. National Grid shut off our gas line and confirmed the leak had been running undetected for three full days -- which will now show up on our bill. This is the second defective installation in a row from this company, and the second time our safety was put at risk because a basic step was skipped. We are lucky no one was hurt. Between the missing paperwork, the repeated delays, and now a gas leak that could have killed my family, I would think twice before trusting this company with any gas work. read more

My elderly parents prepaid $20,000 through Lowe's for a central air conditioning installation in their Staten Island home. Within 90 minutes of installation, the unit froze and leaked water, causing $4,000 in damage to their new floors. Despite multiple repair attempts over the following weeks, the problems were never fixed. The crew left holes in the walls, live wires exposed, and tools behind. My parents, who have serious health issues, were left without functioning AC during extreme weather and had to sleep on the floor. We tried repeatedly to get help from All Day Plumbing and Lowe's corporate office. While the case was briefly reopened, communication stopped altogether. No refunds, no repairs, no response, and no equipment removal - just neglect. I do not recommend this company, especially for vulnerable customers. Intermittently, my radiators were running hot and the boiler water pressure was unusually high. All Day Plumbing & Heating advised me to replace the backflow preventer, pressure regulator, and expansion tank for slightly over $1,700. They replaced all three parts, but the next day the same problem re-occurred. When they returned, they claimed the temperature limit control (Aquastat) was defective and quoted me an additional $825 to replace it. I contacted the company and explained that the original issue had not been fixed, asking them to cover the cost since their diagnosis was apparently incorrect. They refused, stating they had fixed another problem, but when I asked what specific problem had been resolved, they could not provide an answer. I then hired a technician from another company, who fixed the actual issue for only $100.05 without replacing the Aquastat. This technician also confirmed the Aquastat was functioning properly. I would strongly recommend contacting another company for repairs. The pricing was very high, and more importantly, I was advised to replace parts that ultimately were not needed. And they have a "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau. read more

Dishonest company. All Day Plumbing was assigned to us by Lowe's to install our new dishwasher. When we purchased our dishwasher from Lowe's, we checked the box for installation so we paid Lowe's for the dishwasher itself, $50 for hauling away the old one, and a couple hundred dollars for the installation of the new dishwasher. Lowe's contracted with All Day Plumbing for our area and stated that they would reach out to schedule the installation. A day goes by and we didn't receive any communication so my husband called. Lowe's then told us that All Day wouldn't schedule the installation because we had to pay them an additional $100 for a "permit". This was odd to me because nobody I knew had needed a permit to replace a dishwasher. I called the city and the city told me that there's no permit necessary for dishwasher replacements but plumbing companies submit form OP 128 a monthly basis which lists all the minor work and repairs they've done for the month. The filing fee for this form is $130 and includes up to 20 repairs. I called Lowe's to let them know this and they patched in Chris from All Day who admitted that there was no actual permit needed for a dishwasher replacement and he just wanted to charge me $100 for this report that his company has to fill out every month. Needless to say, I'm floored at the dishonesty and pretty appalled that Lowe's would work with a company that openly extorts money from their customers via hidden costs. read more

Washer and Dryer install. The washer and dryer purchased from Lowe's was installed by All Day Plumbing. The day of the install, 3 of their techs (Edwin, Adrian & David) came in. They had bring the washer and dryer down a flight of stairs and remove the old ones as well. They got the job done so quickly, i was surprised since the last installers said they couldnt even get it in the door. They definitely were the A-Team. On Saturday, I reported leakage with my old water heater and ran a bunch of tests with Rheem Technical Support. Finally, they sent me a replacement email and told me that I would have a credit when I returned the water heater back to Home Depot where the previous homeowner purchased it. I called the Home Depot where it was originally purchased to find out the amount of the credit. The sales associate also provided me a phone number (1800-466-3337) where I can call to hire a pro-contractor near me. I created an account with the Home Depot representative for a Water Heater Installation Project. The only plumbing company near me was All Day Plumbing & Heating Corp. The representative called on behalf of me but he wasn't able to get a hold of anyone. I also tried calling on my own until Jay called me and I told him that I am pressed for time because my old water heater's warranty will be expiring on December 20, 2019. He gave me an estimate but I had to discuss it with my parents before making this decision. My parents decided to go with Jay so I gave him a call to set up an appointment. I told him that I am only home on Monday and Tuesday to get it done. Wow, he was able to squeeze me in on Monday #woohoo A little before 1 pm today, Edwin Mendez (Field Technician) and his colleague Azim stopped by my house. First, they drained out the water tank then remove it from the water pipes. I wasn't able to accompany them because we don't have a car anymore. They ended up going to the Home Depot to return my old water heater then buy a brand new water heater. At 2 pm, I get a call from Brandon that Home Depot wanted to speak with the previous owner about the warranty. I explained that we are the current owner then I emailed him additional info from Rheem about the replacement for my old water heater. A little before 3 pm, Brandon gave me another call to let me know that Home Depot was able to give me credit so I can buy a brand new water heater and I just have to pay the difference...omg what a relief Edwin and Azim came back with my brand new water heater. Wow, this new one was skinner and taller. They installed the new water heater then we tested the flow of the water so it was running smoothly. Edwin told me to wait an hour for hot water! Azim filled out the paperwork via Home Depot's app. I signed all the electronic documents, paid for the installation, and received copies in my inbox of everything. I hired All Day through Lowe's when replacing my gas stove with an electric stove (bought the new stove from Lowe's). All Day handled the capping of the gas line behind where the stove sits. They were very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining what needed to be done and advising us through the process. They also handled the permit with the city. In order to do that, they also had to take a look at our gas dryer to make sure it was up to code, and it wasn't, but they were able to do the work to get it up to code. They even gave us a heads up about a particular permit we would need for the electrical work our electrician was doing for the conversion. They didn't have to do that, but I really appreciated it because I wouldn't have known otherwise. On the day of the gas line capping, our technicians Panda and Ajani were very prompt, friendly and professional. They even installed the anti-tip device for our new stove, above and beyond. I'd recommend All Day and will be calling them again. read more

We had an emergent issue with our dishwasher/garbage disposal, that no one could diagnose, and that we spent hours on the phone with many different people trying to sort out. He promised to get someone to our house in mere hours, which was unheard of. Our old unit was installed probably decades ago and not very well, so the new install required some extra effort that Panda was happy to put in. Afterwards, he gave the new unit a run to make sure there were no leaks. He also pointed out an issue with another appliance in our kitchen and gave me some advice on how to solve it. Like some other reviewers, I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's and was also charged a $100 city permit fee, which I couldn't find any information about. Lowe's said it was a new city by-law, so I just paid and scheduled the install. I am an out of city landlord and didn't want my tenant to go without a d/w forever so just sucked it up and paid it. Seeing that both Lowe's and AllDay are extorting customers this way is gross. Came back to yelp to get AllDay's contact info to potentially use them for another job and saw that this was being done, I'll pass and go to a reliable and honest plumber, not an easy feat nowadays, but definitely won't be using AllDay again, or Lowe's for that matter. read more

I chose this company because of the reviews. My basement shower was leaking. When the two guys arrived, one told me it would cost $150 for just coming, $150 for each hole they had to create to locate the problem and then $150 per hour. The guy spent two hours on the phone bullcraping claming he needed to check with his supervisor or call around to get a part. He kept going outside my house to use the phone. I finally confronted him that if he was being honest why was it necessary for him to go outside and not talk in front of me. He talked on the phone for an hour and a half, completed the job in 15 minutes by just sealing off the rim of the drain and then gave me a bill for over $600. Don't trust these guys!! All day plumbing replaced my hot water heater as they were contractor for Home Depot Home Services. After the job was done, I was getting dirty water. I let the water flow for 30 min. and it was still dirty. I suspected that dirty water went into the new hot water heater and asked them to come back for a quick flush. someone there told me it takes 3-4 days till I get clean water... someone said they will talk to supervisor... someone said they will call me right away... but no one called me and they are also not answering my call.. I filed a complaint with Home Depot explained the situation and was told they will contact me within 24 hours. I don't recommend this plumber. read more

All Day allowed me to send pictures back and forth via text to get a solid work scope and quote, and then when there was a snafu, worked with me to correct, refunded me money (?!) from my payment on the first quote, and came again to solve the issue, even Ubering a part over to get the job done. Panda the plumber was friendly, explained everything he was doing, and left everything in great shape. It took a little back and forth to clarify everything, but in the end, really great to feel like the job was done well by a decent set of professionals. We moved into a new home in Nassau County a few months ago, and the other night our hot water stopped working, so we went down to the basement and saw a big puddle of water in front of our hot water tank. Uh oh! We called a couple plumbers in our neighborhood but they were not very responsive or said they couldn't get in for a couple days, but All Day Plumbing said they could get someone there at 8am the next day, and their prices were competitive with what the other guys were quoting, so we said okay. They gave us three quotes for different models of hot water tanks and we chose the one we liked the best (AO Smith 50 gallon). The next day Ozzie (the tech) showed up right on time and got to work. He was super professional the whole time and had a mask and was careful to keep a good social distance at all times, which we appreciated. He also really took the time to make sure he got everything right, replacing the hot water tank, getting all the lines connected right, replacing the expansion tank and making sure it was properly pressurized, he even fixed a couple things that the last plumber left behind, and confirmed that we were getting good and hot water coming out of all our taps and faucets before he left. Really an A+ job. He also said we should get our boiler looked at to make sure it didn't have any issues, and the next day Kenny came to look at our boiler. He noted a couple things we could do in terms of routine maintenance but said the boiler was operating fine and didn't need to be replaced. What a relief! Whenever you start a new vendor relationship there's always a worry about whether they're going to recommend what's most profitable for them (and most expensive for you), but that totally wasn't the case with Kenny, we felt like he just wanted to do the best job. Super professional all around. My sense is that the guys at All Day Plumbing are eager to earn business and get repeat customers, and they've definitely got that with us. If we have any issues in the future we know we can count on them. read more
