They performed the work right away, and did an excellent job. Their crew was polite and very professional. It was a messy job, but they left the fireplace and basement areas of my home cleaner than when they arrived. Prices were reasonable, in fact, unchanged from what I paid seven years ago for the basic service. I can't say a bad word about these folks. The appointment had a two-hour window (12-2) and instead I got a vague text at 10:10 that they were on their way. I don't live at the property so that did not help with planning and if I would have left at that time, I would have been waiting an hour in my car. An hour later, I received a call that they arrived, an hour early mind you, so I told them I would need 15 minutes to get there and was told "not to get upset" even though I was stating it in a calm and matter-of-fact way. Secondly, as far as the service is concerned, scare tactics were used to try to upsell me on a $50 special dryer vent cover (using a dirty one with regular holes) and trying to tell me that I would get condensation and ceiling damage if I had a clog. He tried to charge me another $60 to clean a tiny layer of lint at the bottom of an older dryer, and when I didn't want to pay that fee (more than 50% of the original cleaning), was told that "maybe your father is handy and he can do it," to which I replied that I can do that myself. What does my father have anything to do with it when I'm a 30-something year old woman? Would he have sold a 30-something year old male that father comment too? Highly uncalled for. Third, to drum up additional business, he told our tenants that their AC ducts were dirty and needed cleaning and sent them into a panic that the entire unit was bad (that was a very fun mess to deal with after).
