I know it's a small job and probably not worth your time, but you should give coherent responses that show you actually took the time to read quotes. Charged us $2200 for a job that could've been done for $1000 after talking to another electrician. He also installed our breaker panel incorrectly(also didn't label it at all) that created more problems than what we had before. Highly Recommend! All Ed Electric fit me in their schedule and came out the same day I contacted them. I had them install an outdoor outlet for our low voltage outdoor lighting system. We hired Edgar to install a garage heater. He was very responsive to our inquiry on Yelp. We received three bids and his was in the middle. The lowest priced contractor was evasive when we asked questions about his experience, etc. and the highest priced was just nuts. I reached out on Wednesday for a quote. Ed was super responsive and was able to come out 2 days later on Friday to install a fan for me. I have high, concrete ceilings but he was still able to get everything done in an hour. And more importantly he was incredibly nice! And was incredibly patient with the parking and elevator situations. He also put up a diffuser on an air vent since he had the ladder out. They not only came in an emergency (switches went out for our main floor recessed lighting), but after fixing the immediate need (uh. Light in the living room!), they recommended next step ideas (LED...we're considering switching now from incandescent after their recos all were solid and reasonable), fixed a couple other nagging issues (outlets, etc.), and are already going to come back and fix some outdoor lighting outages we've let linger. PLUS -- incredibly nice, affordable, transparent, clean and neat with their tools and "booties" and materials, and we had a great time catching up on the best tamales in town, too (his reco on that? I would be very cautious working with this electrician. I scheduled an appointment to get a quote for multiple electrical projects I wanted to get done. The appointment was for between 8am and 9am. When the electrician did not arrive by 9:15, I sent a message asking about the status of the appointment. About ten minutes later, I got a call saying he would be there by 10am, and he gave no reason for being late. He did not show up until 10:20, almost an hour and a half after the end of the original appointment window and twenty minutes after the updated arrival time....Once he arrived, he informed me that my breaker box was outdated, and he could no longer get parts to add circuits. I would need to spend $2,000 or more to update the box. I received quotes from 4 other electricians and none of them said I needed to update the box. Throughout the appointment, he kept informing me he would have to add new switch boxes and other equipment to places in order to do what I wanted conveniently adding more work and more cost. None of the other electricians needed to do this, and many of them suggested ways to simplify the projects and save me money. He took no notes during the time he was looking at the projects and requested that I text him the information on what I wanted done....It has been 10 days since the appointment, and I have yet to receive the quote. read more

Wonderful experience! Edgar and his associate Hector did great work on what was basically a small job. At least we thought it was small! Wanted to have two outlets and a three way switch installed. Edgar gave a very prompt reply to my inquiry on Yelp, was able to get me on his schedule quickly, a real plus. The installations were much trickier than anticipated (due to pipes in the walls) but Edgar was persistent and found solutions.
