I had a challenging wiring problem (undetectable via instrumentation due to metal in walls) that my first electrician refused to fix, but Puccio was able to resolve (although it took two visits). While at my home, I also had them address some minor issues (e.g., 1 outlet replaced, 1 junction upgraded to light switch) in addition to the main wiring problem. The team was friendly, professional and cleaned up after. They told me up front what their hourly rate was and warned me in advance what the total cost might be. The final bill reflected that rate/estimate (and minimal materials cost with expected hours) so I feel they are very honest. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are expensive (initial visit / 1st hour is about 300$, but less after that), but I can tell you that a good electrician is very hard to find and they are worth it. If you have an urgent problem or are on a tight budget, you may wish to look elsewhere, but if you want excellent electricians and are patient, use Puccio.

Ethan arrived fully prepared with all of his tools and got right to work. He opened the electrical panel, diagnosed the issue, and explained that there was a neutral wire making contact with ground, which was causing the AFCI breaker to trip. He systematically checked the switches and recessed lights until he found the problem--a loose neutral connection inside one of the recessed light junction boxes that was touching the metal box. He tightened the connections, reset the breaker, and everything worked perfectly. I was honestly amazed at how quickly he found the problem. His troubleshooting skills, knowledge, and professionalism were impressive. Imagine that it's July 4th, and the weather is hot and sticky. Now imagine half of your house's…read moreoutlets stop working, including the ones that run the refrigerator, the downstairs freezer, and the air-conditioning units. The light in the garage was flickering in and out like a creepy scene out of a David Lynch movie. My husband's and my eyes widened in horror. What it would take to get an electrician out to our house on a holiday? Was this a major problem with the electrical panel or was this faulty wiring in the wall? Was this a fire hazard? How much would this cost to fix? We crossed our fingers and called Nick, and he answered the call right away. He was very reassuring, and explained to us that it might be an electrical problem outside the house. He asked us to reach out to National Grid and to call him back when things were back up and running. Nick was right. A neighbor's tree was rubbing against the power line attached to our house, and the electric company was able to address it right away. (National Grid gets an honorable mention here for the quick response time.) We called Nick back to thank him and he appreciated us closing the loop.
