Our school had a field trip here recently and while the time actually making the pottery was a great experience I was very surprised and disappointed with the follow through. We received our pottery with no names on them (when they told us they would be etched in) and once we went through all of them with our students we were missing three of our kid's pots. We also were given over 20 that were intended for other customers! This is also coupled with very poor, unprofessional communication and pottery ready a week after it was expected. read more

I highly recommend using this local business. My family went in to create a present for my mother in law's birthday. While we were waiting for our piece to be fired in the kiln their equipment went down. The owner went above and beyond to make sure that our piece was ready in time for her birthday. Love this place! It's a smaller shop and not as well equipped as some of the bigger ones in the city areas however such a great atmosphere. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is because there is no access to a sink (only a pitcher of water at the front for all guests to share which is a bit odd) And also it does take a but longer than average to fire your ceramics. We visited Redding for a few days and decided to try this place out. We contacted the business beforehand to ask about hours/reservations/and the fire time since we would be leaving town before the pieces would have been fired. They mailed us our pieces for $10 and it made this so worth while for us. We had so much fun. This place has a very light and comfortable atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Went here today with my boyfriend to try our hand in painting ceramic. So much fun! There is something for everyone. The atmosphere is nice, there's soft music in the background, and there is plenty of seating. However, the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars, is the fact that while we were painting, an art class for kids came in and the place became very noisy. It'd be nice if there was a second room for kids/parties, but I understand that space is limited. Prices aren't terribly bad. Most things are under $20 and there is a $3 studio fee. There are cheaper items to paint, it's really up to the person. I painted a gnome($12) and my boyfriend painted a frog($20). We found a studio coupon on the website for a $2.99 studio fee for up to 4 people. So the two of us only paid $2.99 instead of $3 each. Is was $37 after everything, but we spent 3 and a half hours painting, enjoying each other, and having fun. I would recommend this to anyone. read more

Staff was friendly, shop was clean and relatively well organized. Fair variety of brushes and glazes for the pieces available. I was a little disappointed in some of the selection of pieces, and some seemed a little pricey for their simplicity. I get that the prices are all inclusive, I was just a little surprised at them as someone who has made custom ceramics pieces in some of those same price ranges. My piece was done within the time range they set, and I received prompt and friendly notice that it was ready for pickup. My piece had been fired well and evenly, none of the glaze was mucked up, and glaze colors were true to sample pieces. I was very satisfied with my experience and purchase. I likely won't frequent this establishment simply because my passion for ceramics lies in making them myself. read more

Recently I hosted a fun filled paint night complete with food, games, anf beverages as a bridal celebration after hours. Felisha and her staff including our instructor Asher were amazing! So accomodating! They helped with decorations and take down, played music we could all enjoy and allowed us breaks so we could eat, visit, and do bridal games. I cant say enough about their services or their excellent prices! Will plan more events at this location for sure. This is a fantastic idea for an evening out, a birthday party or a date. I constantly hear people say things like "Urgh! There's nothing to do in Redding!" Well this is the kind of gem that refutes that statement, but so few people seem to know about it, tucked away as it is behind Cool Hand Luke's. The idea is simple, they have blank ceramics and paints, tables and brushes. You buy the blank ceramics, paint them yourself however you want, and then they fire them for you. I've been here many times and think it's a great and creative alternative to standard outings. I haven't been in awhile - I ran in the other day though - just to grab some items my GF and daughter painted and I was put off by one of my biggest pet peeves... I walked to the counter and there were two young gals with their backs to the door - giggling over cell phones. I had to make my presence known (AHEM!!) to get them to look at me. One went into the back to find the items I was picking up and the other remained seated - with her back to me - giggling while scrolling on her phone. Don't get me wrong - I'm enamored with my dear iPhone - but for crying out loud - where's the common sense and simple courtesy?! Sigh... It won't keep me out of All Fired Up - just not a fan of being ignored as a result of electronic loyalties! read more

My best friend and I love this place. Including the studio fee, I usually spend about $25. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing (unless there is a birthday party there, then it can get a little crazy). It is a very fun way to spend at least two hours in the air conditioning. The staff is always super helpful, and can help you decide on what to paint, as well as how to paint it. It is always fun to see how your artwork will turn out. It is fun to see kids in there getting creative, but also a fun place to relax and gossip with the girls. There is a rack with little figurines that are great for first timers because they don't take as long to paint, and they are a bit cheaper. Definitely my go to for a girls day out. read more

I love going in to All Fired Up! We take our children in and they always have fun pieces to paint, and are so patient with the kids. My favorite part is our girls afternoon sessions. We call ahead and reserve a table...it is so nice and relaxing to just sit and paint with my girlfriends! We take snacks and drinks and just have some good girl time while we paint. I love this place! I'm from out of the area and almost every time I come to town to visit friends and family, I reserve time to come here and make a new creation. I'm ok by myself or making an event out of it. It's reasonably priced, and the gals are great helping both first timers and those who are very artistic. There always seems to be a kiddie party when I go, but it's never an issue. They have lots of pieces to choose from, tons of paints, stencils, etc., and they are always more than willing to ship my piece to me (only $10).
