The 90 minute experience was exhilarating and had me longing for more. Most of the time I've very tense the first 30 minutes of my massage, but at Scents of Serenity I was able to relax and slip into a portal of the unknown for well over an hour. James listened well as I detailed all my "issues". Then during my massage he was careful to work the muscles but not cause any harm. I left walking out to the reception desk with my limp 90% gone! I was ecstatic. Even the receptionist noticed. I signed up for their reasonable membership right there and then....I NEVER do that. That is how good I felt. I made my next appointment before I left. I initially asked for 45 minutes. My booth was right next to someone who insisted on watching a video, that plus the sounds of the mall is less than ideal but you get what you pay for. When I asked my massage therapist to go deeper, she almost refused telling me I would be sore tomorrow. I've had several massages and I know how my body responds. She reminded me many times that I would be sore... I finally just stopped responding to her. Then I hear another customer come in, they get upset when one of the therapists tells them it is $24 instead of the $20 listed on the board for a 20 minute massage. Everyone around me is yelling and talking loudly, the better business bureau is called, and finally I ask that my massage be over at 20 minutes. I'm asked to many times over why and I respond that I'm just trying to have a massage and relax because I'm in a lot of pain. The therapist eventually agrees (it hasn't even been 10 minutes at this point), but continues to complain to me about the customer with the bureau representative and how people don't tip. I'm almost in tears because the entire ordeal is frustrating. Eventually my clothes are thrown at me, my card gets double charged and they have to give me $20 in cash to make up for the overcharge. I would never ever recommend this location to anyone. I would give a zero if I could. I wish I had the same experience as the other people who loved it.
